Tigger83 · 04/02/2017 09:10

Dancing congratulations!!! Fantastic news!

My stats are:

Ttc #1
Cycle 2
Cd 12

I'm usually a 30 day cycle and expecting to ovulate on Monday (surge today or tomorrow I reckon)

Busy weekend ahead for me better get my arse in gear lol

Jupiter have fun at the baby shower fx the next ones for you x

Seven0fNine · 04/02/2017 08:50

Yeaaaaaa!!! Go dancing huge Congratulations!! 😁 xxxxxx

DancingUnicorn · 04/02/2017 08:45

Oo, have fun with the baby madness Jupiter!

Fx that first period comes soon oyster! That first month off is annoying! (And I wasn't even ttc then!)

Oh no, hb! That doesn't sound like the ideal first time experience! A story though... at least you'll remember it! And it's so unfair that after lovely holidays work is always so busy. Back to earth with a crash!

Well, two more tests down. Really no hiding the bfp on the digital one.... feels a bit unreal tbh!

Seven0fNine · 04/02/2017 08:41

Morning girls,
Had such a good sleep last night, was so tired but it's off to work again this morning.

Shall we start a list of who's in the thread and where everyone is up to in their ttc journey like they do on other threads? Af due date BFP due date, fitness goals (would help me stay on track if it's officially written down!)...just because I keep forgetting where everyone is up to! If you all let me know your stats again I don't mind making the list this afternoon while the footie is on... (unless someone else desperately wants to do it...) xx

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 08:28

So what are you all up to this weekend? I'm off to a baby shower this afternoon where out of 6 women only me and my friends mum (who is 65yrs) are the only ones not pregnant.. I expect to be extra broody by the end of the day. Glad not AF weekend or might be depressing. However it's ovulation day so going to embrace it and enjoy the baby madness!!

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 08:25

oyster I'd start about day 7/8 maybe? If you've got the cheap ones then no harm done if takes a bit longer post pill.

Dancing any news? :)

Oysterbabe · 04/02/2017 08:07

How did you get on Unicorn?

Jupiter yes I will use opks. Not sure when to start them. I have a very predictable 28 day cycle when not on the pill. Maybe I'll do the odd one about a week from now once the pill is properly out of my system. Looking forward to my first period so I know where I am.

HbH04 · 03/02/2017 21:58

Wow lots to catch up on after an 11 hour non stop day! (Punishment for going on hol!)

red & parsnips sorry to hear you've been through traumatic times... Nice to be in positions now that are so far from these circumstances & so much to look forward to!

The first time I had sex the condom split & we had to go up the Brook & get the MAP... Mortifying & not quite the first time experience one has in mind!

MrsC2017 · 03/02/2017 21:04

Oh dancing will keep everything crossed for u! Let us know!!!💜
jupiter that's very cute of your DH!
My DH was very lovely to me today when u told him it was a definite no this cycle , I wasn't even too disappointed but he told me not to worry and it'll happen soon and that he hopes I'm ok..... He won't be having another 9day sex marathon this cycle though!
buzz hope you had a glass!

HeyJupiter · 03/02/2017 20:58

Dancing wow, I will try and not get too excited for you either but that sounds possibly like good news (eeeek). Let us know as soon as you can and good luck!

DancingUnicorn · 03/02/2017 20:48

That's cute Jupiter!

I'll definitely test again in the morning if no af. Still not here. Think there may have been a hint of a shadow on my test this morning, but working really hard to not get my hopes up!

Parsnips it's a shame they can't create a truly intimate feel one! Hope it wasn't too much of a shock!

HeyJupiter · 03/02/2017 20:40

oh Dancing did you decide whether to test again tomorrow morning? Any sign of AF at all?

HeyJupiter · 03/02/2017 20:38

Mummy I couldn’t cope with being a SAHM either, would go out of my mind. Is a nice fantasy though when work is so difficult.

Seven you’re so welcome. It’s great your DH is getting support and worth prioritising his wellbeing over some fairly unproven research.

Oyster yay for end of the pill pack. Are you going to be OPK-ing?

Parnsips that must have felt like a very impressive new type of condom Grin So, you’re not out this month completely then!

buzz go for it and enjoy

Flowers to all of you for all the difficult times. You’re amazing.

DH has gone out with friends but he text to say “don’t worry, I know I have an appointment later” - never described sex as an appointment before… ahh the glamour of the fertile week.

DancingUnicorn · 03/02/2017 19:29

Go for it buzz. Especially if you have a bottle stopper so you don't have to drink the whole bottle.

I feel pretty rubbish today. Absolutely shattered and feel really sick. :( Looking forward to bed already! How to live on a Friday night...

buzzmoon · 03/02/2017 19:20

Haha parsnips no wonder you thought it was intimate feel!!

Would it be really bad if I opened a bottle of prosecco? DP has gone to the pub after work and who knows when he'll be back. Talk me out of drinking alone!

MrsC2017 · 03/02/2017 18:49

parsnips gosh really, that's so difficult! And yep if it were men doing it they would have come up with something much less taxing on the body! Ditto periods! Just made homemade pizzas with DS coz DH is out tonight and got a load of Crap for us after! Will have to up the exercise to burn it all off!

DancingUnicorn · 03/02/2017 18:31

Yes, parsnips totally agree that things would be different if men gave birth! ;)

Sending 💐 to all those who have had difficult times.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/02/2017 18:23

Ps - thanks for nice messages and understanding - you are all lovely. I was quite judgmental about abortions previously having grown up in Ireland where the attitude to that choice is completely frowned upon and never discussed openly. Even in the UAE I was made to feel ashamed for having a contraceptive implant as it isn't my place to decide when or if I have children. The colleague I mentioned from the Philippines earlier this week told me that the reason why his wife had to give birth out of dubai was because she wasn't allowed a sterilization as they decided she was too young - she's 32 and just had her third child and they can't afford anymore. It's terrible. If men had babies it would be so different.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/02/2017 18:17

So me and DH are in this lovely hotel for friends wedding and just DTD and the bloody condom burst so we have an unprotected situation and have no idea when my fertile days are as not had a cycle yet. Not the end of the world if it happens. Both laughing as condom was "intimate feel" and DH was like wow it's like not wearing one, unaware the bloody thing had popped and rolled right down!! 😂😂😂

buzzmoon · 03/02/2017 16:24

Confused could you link me your bargain opk kit? Thanks!

Redpony1 · 03/02/2017 16:02

Ohh i missed Jupiter having a smear! Hope it was ok.
I had one in November and i have been given the all clear to go on to annual tests rather than 6monthly (had CIN III in 2014 & had an operation so have been monitored closer)

I haven't mentioned it as i thought i had pulled a muscle, but i've had a hideous stitch pain in the right side since Sat, on & off. Apparently a Google says this could be very early pregnancy related. However, i am still convinced it is a pulled muscle and refuse to symptom spot!

MrsC2017 · 03/02/2017 15:41

Hi girls!! Happy friday, hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Alot to catch up on, had a mental week in work which pays me so Crap I would almost be better off packing it in but would also go spare staying at home!
red and parsnips its clear you both made the right decision for yourselves at a particular time and anyone who has a problem with that can just f**k off in my opinion! We have huge issues in this country over a woman's right to choose, termination in all forms is illegal still here including in the case of fatal foetal abnormalities and women have to travel to the UK if they wish to terminate, it's outrageous and archaic and so very typical of this country. A woman died from sepsis as she was unsuccessfully miscarrying (late) and nothing could be done as they could still detect a heartbeat. Sorry I went off on tangent there but bottom line is that you were totally right to do what you felt was right at the time for you.
seven Omg totally I did not know that was a thing until I naively clicked into a post.... Why Oh why!!
oyster I thought the sex marathon would kill me coz I'm a once a weeker normally but actually the more I did the more I felt like doing so hopefully the mood will take you too!
jupiter good luck with bd tonight!! Let's hope it's a lucky one!
grumpy sorry about work, hope u manage to destress over the weekend!
BFN again this morning, so def out, awaiting AF who I imagine will arrive in the morn! Not sure how my cycle will work next month with this random cycle but we shall see!

buzz hope smear was OK, I remember thinking the nurse was digging for gold during my last one!
OK think I'm caught up now, sorry for extra long post!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/02/2017 15:31

Eww seven tell me your joking! That is rank! Seriously just wait and take the damn test! You can't rely on what anyone else thinks anyway!! Hope you're all well. Me and DH are back in Manchester today - got a wedding tomorrow and then off skiing 🎿
