Greetings girls!

Back from honeymooning... Lying on the sofa in two hoodies having a MN catch up! So much chat!

No mozzy bites for me & just one for DH which is a bit frustrating! We were just thinking f**k it, the odds of getting Zika from one bite are SO low but a bit more googling scared us so we'll book a test.

Scared to weigh in...!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/01/2017 18:36

See all the hearts.. totally wrong! I'm a month closer to my ideal conception date of May/June I guess

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/01/2017 18:32

Glad you are ok unicorn Flowers

Mooncup check this eve confirms this is not spotting ..this is proper real "natural" AF - as if I hadn't guessed after a day of excruciating back pain (I'm sure equivalent to early labour but I must have forgotten how bad it was!!)
Ibuprofen has just kicked in so I can concentrate enough to post here.. counting my blessings cycle has returned so quickly. Looking at Ovia, we managed to exactly avoid the fertile window if there was one! Lol!

DancingUnicorn · 31/01/2017 18:17

Thanks for all the love! I'm ok, just feeling pretty anxious about all this in relation to work things. Everything will work out ok in the end.

HeyJupiter · 31/01/2017 17:52

I like to think I have a high pain threshold but I think that might be bollocks. I would take any drug they were offering I think. A water birth sounds amazing and would be good for my joints too. Wow, can't believe we will really have to do all this one day!

Just had my hair cut and coloured. Definitely worth not being pregnant for (well.. almost) :)

Redpony1 · 31/01/2017 15:49

Ohhh grumpy that doesnt sound nice but at least you have AF now!

Everytime i go to the toilet i wipe & look (TMI!) & I am happy that there is no blood as chance of BFP in a couple of weeks, but on the other hand unhappy that i haven't had AF yet & don't really know what's happening in there

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/01/2017 15:15

I know red .. I am in so much pain.. I forgot that AF feels like it's in my back! Why!

buzzmoon · 31/01/2017 14:40

Oh dancing hope you're okay ❤❤

Redpony1 · 31/01/2017 14:26

I'm just a big pansy! i was nearly crying at normal cramps the other day Blush I know drugs can have side effects but i figure, they are used daily so must be safe? I've had gas & air a few times & it was useless so i would want something far stronger Blush

Oh Unicorn i hope you are ok

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 31/01/2017 14:24

Everything ok unicorn?

I'm with you red - I'd take every drug going! But hoping to avoid the birth bit altogether.

MrsC2017 · 31/01/2017 14:07

unicorn oh no poor you! Hope u are ok lovely x
Confused I am just across the pond in Ireland, spent some years living in the North West in England though!
I wanted every drug under the sun but couldn't keep still during labour as it went so fast! Like oyster says could be totally fine, my friend came out after giving birth and said she didn't know what the big deal was and that she would do it again tomorrow!

confusedat23 · 31/01/2017 14:07

Oh no Dancing are you ok? What happened?

Yeah I hope I am like you Oyster

Well Red i have heard that I cannot have Gas and Air with Perniscious Anaemia as it can deplete the numbers of B12 you have in your body. As the type I have works a bit like type 1 diabetes it would be really dangerous if this is the case... however I am not a doctor so I am not sure! But I do know I would feel really uncomfurtable with the epidural it would make me panic and so unless I had to I wouldn't opt to have it.

Oysterbabe · 31/01/2017 13:35

I guess it's because all the drugs have some downsides Redpony , except for gas and air. But agree if you're not coping you should take whatever you need! There's no award for suffering through it and people can get too hung up on having a drug free birth.

HeyJupiter · 31/01/2017 13:29

Oh Dancing are you okay? Flowers

This TTC lark gets a bit much doesn't it sometimes..

DancingUnicorn · 31/01/2017 13:21

:( I just had a crying in the loos at work moment. Stupid hormones!!

Redpony1 · 31/01/2017 13:20

I cannot fathom how anyone would not take every drug possible to get rid of pain in this day & age, there is absolutely no way i would let myself be in pain if there was a way i could prevent it haha! Grin

Not liking this not POAS business, not that i have anything to POAS for at the moment. I have a bag full of OPK & HPT's and no reason to use any of them for anything at the moment Hmm

Oysterbabe · 31/01/2017 12:59

You may not confused my labour was fine :) There's a lot of luck involved I think!

confusedat23 · 31/01/2017 12:45

Ooo that is interesting mrs are you not in the uk?

i know i don't want a C-Section or epidural unless i have to!... i don't react well in situations where i an numbed as such so i know i wouldn't be comfurtable...

However during labour i'm sure i will feel completely differently! Lol

MrsC2017 · 31/01/2017 12:06

So many typos in that post! Autocorrect is the worst!

MrsC2017 · 31/01/2017 11:40

red brilliant!! I see a hairspray lid at home and the bit of a pencil sharpener that collects the shavings in work! Innovation amongst women of child baring age is at an all time high it seems!
confused sounds like you have him in the bag Grin
unicorn too funny about the test ending up amongst the spiders!
grumpy yay welcome to Cd1!
So no sign of AF, please let her stay away until I least get to 12dpo! Today is 9dpo... I Kind of just know I'm not pregnant though, which I'm ok with but gonna test tomorrow and then again Friday if no AF!
Regarding labour.... I will be attempting to insist on a c section this time, I have done years of physio to work on the damage done by my first labour and have worked so hard I avoided two repair surgeries where they told me basically that should I entire natural labour it would probably happen all over again. In this country it's a mentality of get the baby out whatever the cost is to the mother which in a way I understand but surely my quality of life matters a bit! Anyway my gp says she will back me so hopefully they will consider it, they are very reluctant to perform a planned section unless there is what they consider grave medical needs yet we have one of the highest rates of emergency care sections! Anyway that's what I would like but I know from last time that the best way to prepare for childbirth is not to prepare!

buzzmoon · 31/01/2017 11:20

red your Aldi salad dressing pot made me laugh out loud 😂😂 such a good idea though!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 31/01/2017 10:49

Happy days Grumpy - great news about AF at last. Still no sign of mine. No doubt it will land on sat at the wedding when I'm wearing a bloody hopefully not literally Saree!!

Re births - I am going to request a caesarean. It's all private healthcare over here so I'm hoping they just agree to it. I really don't fancy a labour. I just don't think I'll cope with that at all. If we end up with twins I'm 100% insisting on a caesarean!

It will be so much easier to plan if we know the date. And being abroad I'd prefer to know the timings so I can have family here accordingly. My biggest fear is going into premature labour and having no control whatsoever.

Redpony1 · 31/01/2017 10:30

Yeh just want to know where i am at!

Is it bad that yesterday i bought an Aldi salad yesterday and it had a little pot with the sauce in it inside. I thought, ohhhh that will make a good wee catching pot!! Promptly washed it up after my lunch and put it in my drawer at work Grin Grin

HeyJupiter · 31/01/2017 10:05

Dancing that's so funny! It shouldn't be that hard should it Grin

confused I think CM can vary a bit each month. It's quite unpredictable. As said yesterday I have EWCM at the moment yet my clearblue OPK came back as low. So not sure what that's all about. Carry on with the plan I reckon! Glad DH is getting in the mood.

Red fingers crossed for BFP or AF. You just need something don't you so you know where you stand.

confusedat23 · 31/01/2017 09:31

Oh yeah whoever said Turkey Baster that is genious... I had a proper giggle about it!

DH is engageing in the flirty chat so I am very very hopeful we are on for tonight! I think I am going to go to boots and buy some of that fertility lube today, didn't someone on here say they have pre-seed was it any good?

I would normally have EWCM by now at CD 13 but OVIA is getting the ump with me for not having anything!! Such a Sassy woman she is but she is also making me panic that this cycle could be anovulatory!

Its ok Dancing it kept me alive so well worth the pain! Although 18 year old me didn't feel like that at the time lol

Your debarkles with HPT's are amazing by the way! you should start a blog or something about it
