Pingu

I think I'll give them a go but I want to get the post MC cycles out of the way as I'm sure hormones are all out of whack at the moment so will maybe try those after I've got my next AF. I guess that isn't too bad if you get two cycles worth by my cycles are so long I'd probably need 30 or so to pinpoint it exactly 😂. I fell PG first time by complete fluke so I'm hoping I'm ultra fertile and my eggs are a magnet to sperm!!

The day got better thankyou. I had told someone to tell people not to make a fuss cos I fall to pieces if they did. But everyone was so nice it was difficult for them I could tell. Most people just said a quick I'm sorry for your news before moving on. I felt quite cheerful and was eventually definitely happier to be at work than at home.

Babycarmen · 24/01/2017 16:26

Just checking in! In the 2ww now although no idea if/when I ovulated Confused

ttcnovice · 24/01/2017 15:07

Hi claire how are you doing? I hope work wasn't too bad for you yesterday! Flowers

It's not the fertility monitor that I have, just the "clearblue digital ovulation test with dual hormone indicator" with a reader that displays different smiley faces depending on the results. It was £26.99 in boots if I remember rightly, and you get 10 test sticks in the box, or they sell one for a bit more with 20 in it. Definitely worth it I think as it's given me peace of mind now that ovulation is actually occurring rather than the IC's just giving random answers like you said!

Xxpaigex · 24/01/2017 14:21

Il keep you all updated! Trying not to get my hopes up as had not many symptoms so far only dizziness 8dpo and itchy tingly boobs! Other than that not a thing! And only in sunlight can I see a line glad I'm not seeing things though my eyes do like To play tricks on me xxx good luck everyone xxx

MistyBxx · 24/01/2017 14:13

Hey Paige, I can see a faint line!! Congrats chicky!! Keep us updated if you do another test :) x

PingusMistress · 24/01/2017 14:11

88claire I have the old style CB digital fertility monitor but it uses the same sticks as the new one, just got a batch off amazon for £25. Theoretically that lasts 2 cycles but if you don't get a peak in the first 10 sticks you need to use the other 10 in the box. You might be able to get them cheaper elsewhere.

So not cheap at all, but I got PG with DD the first cycle of getting a peak with it. This was after almost a year of faffing about with other tests and thermometers and stuff. Maybe coincidence but that makes it priceless to me! I've just got it out again for TTC #2, hoping it does the magic again.

MrsGB2015 · 24/01/2017 14:09

Ooooooo I see a faint line. Test in a couple of days but it looks like you are pregnant. Congratulations!!

Xxpaigex · 24/01/2017 14:05

Sorry for jumping on your post! New to this and this post seems relevant to my life right now😂 , can any of you give my test a look and see if you think it's a shadow/indent or extremely faint positive at 10dpo xx

Ahh EMHW apologies I may have caused some
Confusion ...I just have the CB opk off the shelf but it's digital reader ...it's not that square thingy (very technical) that I have seen on the website..although that does look very interesting🤔

EMHW123 · 24/01/2017 13:10

Hi all! Gosh this moves fast! Ha!

I'm doing cb opk this month and in my excited rush bought the monitor sticks! Ha! Glitter is that machine any good?!

Bought the normal cb opk ones too now and fingers crossed I get a good result with these! Had the ewcm or whatever it is most months in line with my predicted FW so here's hoping it coincides with a high reading on these sticks.

Bloody peeing on sticks is a new pass time!

Coffee3 · 24/01/2017 12:52

I'm glad clue seems to be working for you Misty. I've been inputting my cycles since August and they range between 27-30days and clue has adjusted dates around the info I put in.
I've not used any opk's or temping just looked out for ewcm which does appear roughly in line with fertile window in app. So we'll wait and see!

MistyBxx · 24/01/2017 12:37

Hi Coffee, hubs and I have had a cold recently too, seems to be loads of it about!
I use Clue and have sworn by it, my AF has arrived perfectly on time with it so far.
But when I first started it back in Aug, I didn't know my cycle length so used the 28 day average.
Since then, my cycles have been C1 29, C2 38 (I took Pregnacare Conception tablets this month which I later found out has a terrible habit of messing with people's cycles! Not everyone, just a percentage which I happened to be in!) C3 30, C4 31 and I'm now on CD20 of C5.
My cycle appears to be averaging at 30 but Clue hasn't been adjusting to that (it says it adjusts the more info you submit) so I've been dtd on my predicted FW and using OPK cheapy sticks and I'm a little all over the place really.
I also use Ovia and try and compare both to see if that helps!
But either way I'm in the 2ww for this cycle too! 12 days to test/AF for me!

88claire · 24/01/2017 12:29

TTC

I genuinely think those opk cheapies give some random answer! I don't trust them and not having much luck temping either.

Do you mind me asking how much the clearblue monitor sticks are? I don't mind spending £75 on that but I'll don't want to be spending a fortune on the sticks every month!

Congratulations on the positive clearblue though!!

Coffee3 · 24/01/2017 12:20

Hi ladies,
It's lovely reading everyone's excited posts. I think we're coming to the end of fertile window (according to the debated clue app!) and only managed to dtd a few times in the window as I've had a horrible cold for what feels like forever. I've had to take today off work so I'm in bed feeling sorry for myself and preparing for the 2ww!

Glitterbubble · 24/01/2017 12:00

Ahh well maybe you ladies can help me here regard CBD opks!! Never used any kind before but gone straight for the digital ....used last night just to get to grips with them ...not expecting a positive.. it wasn't, negative on the digital, but when I took the strip out the machine.. the second line looked pretty strong?

Anyone had any experience of this?

(BTW, yes I have posted this somewhere else but getting no answer ..thanks in advance Smile)

Charley2016 · 24/01/2017 11:39

Oh my god! Most ridiculous typo ever Blush definitely won't help!!! Haha!

MistyBxx · 24/01/2017 11:26

Any, I'm in the same boat as you... at the bus stop til 5th Feb!
Ps love the name! I'm obsessed with TBBT!!

MistyBxx · 24/01/2017 11:21

Charley, me and hubs are usually pretty in sync so it usually happens same time which is lush, but last few times I just haven't and I'm trying to empty my mind and concentrate but I think the stress is getting to me! Must try to relax!
And I may miss the dying straight afterwards if I can help it lol 😂

Novice those pics are crazy different! The dip stick is what I would consider negative as the lines don't match and one is pale, but if CB says you're peaking, well... CB is the best out there isn't it? Maybe read the packets to see if it says how much LH in % the tests pick up on? Perhaps the CB ones consider a lower % of LH as a positive than the cheap ones...? But still, there should be some solid benchmarks coz it's hard enough trying to guess our bodies as it is 🙈

AnyFarrahFowler · 24/01/2017 11:18

Morning! Just checked back in and there's been loads more posts since I last posted. Hello everyone!
Well it's the 2ww for me now. We've done all we can. I keep telling myself not to get too excited, it's only the first month of trying for DC2, but it's hard. Fingers crossed for everyone!

ttcnovice · 24/01/2017 11:15

Haha charley no chance of a BFP if the woman dies straight after DTD ShockGrin

ttcnovice · 24/01/2017 11:14

So I'm officially never trusting cheap OPKs again! Got my "peak" reading this morning on the CB dual hormone tests (CD12 like clockwork as predicted as the 'norm' for my cycle length on the box), and yet an IC OPK dipped in the same urine was nowhere near positive. How can that be I wonder? Has anyone else ever experienced similar? Pictures attached of the two tests showing the very obviously different line strengths Confused

It's probably not better if the woman dies just after Charley Grin

Charley2016 · 24/01/2017 10:56

Misty they say it helps, but it's definitely not a requirement. There are a huge amount of woman who don't orgasm at all. I've heard it's better if the woman dies just after so I tried to hold off yesterday thinking we would sort me out after, but I'm also quite easy to please so that didn't happen haha!

MistyBxx · 24/01/2017 09:32

Morning lovelies :)

Charley and MrsC, I'm gonna get my hands on some of that conception stuff! I have only noticed EWCM once very obviously in the last few months, so have been a little worried about that. I too don't have a problem with dryness but would be good to know that it's a friendly environment up there for the swimmers to thrive lol.

MrsGB I'm exactly the same with hubs 😂he is just enjoying lots of fun and I'm frantically timing, measuring, peeing and recording in the background lol.

I do have a personal question though... I've always been quite 'easy to please' if you know what I mean... but the last few times we have dtd, I find it difficult to switch off from making babies and therefore am not ummm 'reaching the end' for want of a better word 😂🙈sorry, I know it's early for tmi chat but it is a worry for me, as I've heard that it's the Big O that sucks the swimmers up to the right place. Could I get pg even if I don't have an O?
Sorry if it sounds a bit dull. And I'd say most times when we dtd, I do, but as soon as we do it in FW it's like I freeze up and just can't enjoy it like I normally do! I know it's just the pressure and I need to relax but I'd hate to think I'm wasting my chances by dtd and not 'enjoying' it fully if you know what I mean, and if this is detrimental to my chances 😳
Sorry to anyone eating breakfast lol xxx

Charley2016 · 24/01/2017 07:46

Haha I wasn't saying anything to my dh either but it appears he's been googling! He was talking about spent temperature and practically shouted at me when I stood up to pee haha! Bless, I think he just really wants a baby and thought it might happen by now. I was worried it would panic him but to be honest he seems more keen and dtd took less time than usual last night which isn't a bad thing when you have to do it 6 nights in a row Wink
