How much sex did you have the month you conceived?

Just that really! Did you go at it like the clappers or just do it a couple of times?

I have been pregnant twice- both times we had sex just once that month.

Plus it was during the time after coming off the pill, waiting for my real period to arrive.

To be honest, I can't quite believe it happened twice.

Now TTC for the past 6 months so a very different experience.

We had been trying for 18 months. On the month we conceived we DTD everyday for two weeks over my fertile period.
We had tried OPKs and DTD every other day. DH had sperm issues and although lots of people say every other day is better for allowing sperm to regenerate, it worked for us DTD every day.

Once. Dh was away for the whole month and only popped home for a surprise overnight visit.
Turned into quite a big surprise.

Twice - Was using the clear blue ovulation kit did it the first day I got a flashing smiley then once the day I got the solid smiley.
I had the flu that month so didn't DTD as much as we did on the other cycles so I already marked that month off. But AF never turned up - i was shocked!

Dc1 - every other day the month we conceived. Just dtd like normal for the month before that

Pregnancy two (lost at 11 weeks) took 4 months of generic shagging 😀

Dc2 - one month, one dtd. Changed our mind next day but it was too late!

After 4 cycles of trying every other day and in fertile windows etc cycle 5 when we actually conceived we did it once in the whole month ha! I had no idea at the time I was fertile either as I'd given up tracking for that month! It obviously worked as I'm now 14+3 😁

Every day. But TTC now and might try and cut down to every other day as people say that gives the swimmers time to mature.

Around three or four times over the 3/4 days I got high and peak ovulation signs on a CB opk.

DC1 unplanned (mistimed pills) we were doing every night often two or three times.
DC2 planned at least once daily, often twice, took two months to conceive.
DC3 planned daily, again often twice, conceived the month after coil removed.
DC4 unplanned (mistimed depo injection was still breastfeeding DC3 and not had a period) we did it about 7-10 times that month.

Just once, 3 days before ovulation. First month of trying too, I was so surprised to get a positive test!

With ds ( first baby ) we dtd about 3 / 4 times a week which was just normal for us at the time. It took us 5 months to conceive With dd, ds was 9 / 10 months old and waking every 90 minutes so it was practically an immaculate conception! My period only returned after stopping bf when ds was 6-7 months so not sure how long it took us to conceive but it was probably 2-3 cycles.

Three times within 4 days of ovulation then not for another 3 days after that. Conceived on cycle 2. Research shows that having sex 3 to 1 days before ovulation is most likely to get the sperm to the egg at the right time rather than day of ovulation or days after. Everyone is different though.

DD was a happy surprise many moons ago.
This one we've been trying for two years with fertility treatment. The month I got pregnant we dtd 3 times. I have a big window because sometimes I ovulate on day 14 other it's day 17.

Two children. Two shags without contraception when we usually used condoms. In a sense therefore both accidental and unplanned but very welcome and I realise how very lucky I was.

Once at the start of FW and once at the end if memory serves me right. Going by my dates it was the first attempt that did the trick.

4 times in the week we actually conceived, but actually only once around ovulation (once on the day of positive OPK)
