Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Kaydee I take Pregnacare xx

sk1pper · 13/01/2017 12:33

Hippy - feel more like a normal person today thanks, believe my ovaries have stopped aching - so just a broken wrist now.

Kaydee - just a good multi vit will be fine as you've just started. And keep taking your folic acid regardless.

HepKestrel · 13/01/2017 12:31

kaydee I alternate between folic acid +vit d , and pregnacare.

I personally do not like taking too much.

Kaydee2017 · 13/01/2017 12:26

CD33 has turned into CD1 for me this morning, painful but pleased something is happening!!

For all you ladies taking additional supplements - should I be taking any?? Im only on folic acid, but now feel that might not be enough seeing what all you guys are on? I'm so early on in this, so much to learn Smile

Hippychic79 · 13/01/2017 12:24

Welcome Mumh - what are your stats please?
xxx

Mumh3art16 · 13/01/2017 11:59

Hi, I'm ttc and although I promise don't myself I'd relax and just "try" I've not.
I'm obsessing over ovulation tests, sperm, eggs, stomach cramps EVERYTHiNG!
I'm not due on for another week but although I never had one positive ovulation stick I'm hoping dtd so much has done it.
I've got cramps, slight nausea, increased smell a little of heartburn, loose stools. I'm hoping these are pregnancy symptoms and not my period.
Am I going mad?

Hippychic79 · 13/01/2017 11:40

Bee propolis is rank :)))
Have a lovely meal ... good luck at sainsburys xxx

GimbleInTheWabe · 13/01/2017 11:29

I have my DP's sister and her partner coming for dinner tonight. Planning on making a vege lasange and chocolate puds so have lots of distract myself from the slight cramps and tiredness I'm feeling...
About to brave the snow here in SE.London to head to Sainsbury's, feel cold just thinking about it!

Never heard of bee propolis Sk1pper, sounds rank though! I feel this newbie has much to learn (said in my best yoda voice) Smile

Hippychic79 · 13/01/2017 11:09

Hope you're feeling a bit better today Sk1pper xxxx

Hippychic79 · 13/01/2017 11:08

Sk1pper -
www.cytoplan.co.uk

Gimble - I know what you mean ... remembering to take them is a right pain and those fish oil tablets are massive! I hate swallowing tablets that are too big ... I've got a weak gagging reflex ... yes - poor OH :))))

xxxx

sk1pper · 13/01/2017 09:51

I'm sure they can't be as bad as bee propolis, that shit is disgusting.

GimbleInTheWabe · 13/01/2017 09:23

I have the fish oil tablets too Hippychick, still trying to get it into my routine to take them daily.. been a bit sporadic! I also take some probiotics that she recommended called 'optibac probiotics'.

sk1pper she actually bought this first lot for me but maybe hippychick knows? Sorry that's not v helpful. They have a very mild taste fyi, I'm squeamish about taking tablets and I can do it but they do have a bit of a gross taste!

sk1pper · 13/01/2017 09:12

Hi Gimble - what's the best place to buy them?

Hippychic79 · 13/01/2017 09:10

Hep - fx for you hun ... I'm due AF on Monday and I'm confident she'll arrive as we only managed to dtd on CD9 and I ovulated CD14 due to both of us having colds. Will be amazed if I'm upduffed. Think you're in with a better chance than me my friend :) xxx

Gimble - I see a nutritionist and that's a great brand! I use the Nutri Advanced Pregnancy Essentials and Cytoplan Fish Oil :)))

xxxxx

GimbleInTheWabe · 13/01/2017 09:00

Just realised that it might look like I've come here to flog the pills.... which I'm not I promise!

GimbleInTheWabe · 13/01/2017 08:58

Thank you for the welcome Kwick, Hep and miw (btw your cake looks the tits! I'm always amazed at people who are arty)
I think today is my OD.. how accurate are these apps?! I'm using one called 'Cycles' which is quite good as you can input loads of info. Ann I missing the party with a better one?

Also: my sister in law is a nutritionist and recommended the pregnancy pills in the photo attached so thought I'd share. She said they're much better than the wellwomen ones as they're all natural. Normally I'm weary about all this but you should see her - she stunning and had a beautiful little girl after 3 months trying so maybe she's doing something right!

Thanks both!
It's so frustrating, our bodies definitely play tricks on us in the 2ww.

HepKestrel · 13/01/2017 08:49

colour I am 12dpo, with AF due tuesday-ish.

Unless you are planning a boozy weekend, it is best to wait. I will be making my "can't drinking- i'm driving excuse" this weekend, and test next friday I think.

The complete lack of FRERs make it easier.

my resting heart rate has come down, so not hopeful any more.

HepKestrel · 13/01/2017 08:44

kwick were you the thief? Grin

kwick · 13/01/2017 08:15

flash and peaches but the regrowth itching? The ingrown hairs???
I am so glad I had laser treatment on my bikini line and underarms years ago - now I just shave my legs and wax facial hair.

Welcome gimble!!!
We have out own special acronym on this thread: LSFX = legs spread, fingers crossed, describing the position your body needs to be in when you are seeking your BFP but wishing luck to others (and yourself).

Happy Friday everyone!!!

colour if you can wait then expected day of AF - and with a FRER Grin

More crazy dreams last night - I was involved in a bank heist Confused

colourmylife · 13/01/2017 07:46

Question, If you have longer cycles than 28 days do you go by DPO or day of expected AF when testing?

I'm 13DPO but AF isn't due until next Wednesday. Tests advise to wait until expected day of AF but surely 13dpo you could get a BFP if you were pregnant?

HepKestrel · 13/01/2017 06:32

Welcome gimble! Just ask about any acronyms. There is a MN page with most of them.

Hippychic79 · 13/01/2017 05:47

Cake looks amazing Miw - better than anything I could ever do! Xxx
Sk1pper - you never know it could be a blessing not getting the hard core pain relief - fx for you Hun xxx
Still sending hugs to you both pug & alexia
Pyjamas- fx for you Hun keep us posted xxx
Welcome grimble xxx

And hello Friday .... nearly the wk end yaaaaay xxxxxx

miwelaisjacydo · 13/01/2017 05:16

Gimble hello and welcome 👋 TWW is two week wait. The time after fertility window and the wait for AF/BFP

GimbleInTheWabe · 12/01/2017 22:54

Hello ladies,

Newbie here! Also still learning the ropes regarding acronyms so apologies in advance.

CD14 my OD is tomorrow (DTD last night)

So as you can tell I'm fresh out the tin.. literally taking the first steps on this journey. Have been back reading the thread but not quite caught up yet!

Quick q: Is TWW 'two week window'? (I'll get there eventually!)

Also just wanted to share that as I type my DP is fast asleep beside me and my cat is curled up underneath the blanket on the bed too, bless.
