Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Hurrah for your good results kwick, I bet that's a weight off your mind!

Orange, I would say FRER are the best because they're so sensitive plus they don't seem to run or become splodgy as much as others. I'm no expert though!

kwick · 06/01/2017 19:19

Thanks for sharing Alexia Grin

sk1pper do you mean to say you are DTD without holy matrimony having taken place Shock!!!!

Jesus Alexia you have a spectacular memory. I miss starky/Audrey.

orange FRER all the way!!

So I hot my bloods back:
HCG went from 187 to 887 - very good!
Progesterone is at 164 - highest it has EVER been even when I have been on 3 different meds.
Told main boss - she was happy for me but I kinda of have to find solutions to the trips I cannot make...
Oh well - it is what it is!!!

fxskip thanks for your analysis - from what I can see, those that are DTD -2 and -1 from ovulation seem key!!! With me insemination was on day of ovulatoon but magic potion is placed directly into cavity - does not need to travel far.

kwick · 06/01/2017 19:01

What a lovely FRER line pug!!!! Well done you!!!
And OMG - forgot it was your birthday!!!! Happy Birthday!!! 🎉🎁
Was it red wine you were drinking - think there may be something in this improving fertility.

Alexia I am keeping everything crossed for your FRER with FMU. Bloody hope you have shared your TMI notes!!!

Will be back soon!

OrangeCloud18 · 06/01/2017 18:43

kwick I have ordered some FRER today. It should arrive tomorrow so will test again Sunday morning.

What are the best pregnancy test to use?
There are so many of them it gets confusing.

After Alexia's wonderful postime about symptoms I checked my record and I think I ovulated later than I thought... Hmm
There was plenty of DTD so should not rule me out but not sure when to test now...

kwick · 06/01/2017 18:36

pug!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! StarStarStar so very happy!

Welcome tonks!!!
I feel very honoured Blush by your lovely comment.

Alexia I am way behind on the thread - will catch up soon - but I am praying that a FRER comes up trumps for you.

jam Flowers you will do it - remember you are in perfect time.

ginger welcome!!! Sorry about MC - but LSFX as now your body knows what to do!

Great news ns!!!

May I please make a general plea that testers have a FRER to hand - even if they start with a IC. And yes I do not have shares in the company!

Will be back soon - need to get off bus.

WingingIt83 · 06/01/2017 18:31

presh yes I would start twice a day testing if I were you :-)

Good symptom spotting alexia I always get shed loads of creamy but not sticky in tww so not sure I'd be able to notice that as a symptom but the smell thing seems pretty consistent amongst a lot of you Smile

Londonjam · 06/01/2017 17:24

Aww skipper that's so sweet 💙 they made me spell DH surname too, it was strangely nerve wracking!

Thanks for the symptoms list alexia I definitely get cm in the TWW but not usually as much as you're describing so that sounds like a potential giveaway if I ever do conceive

Keeping everything crossed for lovely sticky beans for you and pug and all our grads. Don't leave us too quickly or completely!!

Fx tightly for all testers and happy Friday all 💐

Presh88 · 06/01/2017 17:12

Anyone mind telling me what they think of this opk please? CD 21 today out of 34 cycle and this is first time I've had anything other than a completely negative opk. Could this be the start of the surge or nothing meaningful? Should I test again tonight? Thanks Smile

That's interesting to know Mouse. I'm the same with headaches! I posted my frer a page or so back. It was with diluted afternoon pee. Only 10dpo so it's a squinter but there IRL.

We don't have a boots near us (they closed it recently) and Superdrug only had one pack of FRERs left Angry so I'm keeping the other for tomorrow morning. I did get some other tests too but as long as AF stays away I'm happy waiting.

MouseLove · 06/01/2017 16:16

Alexia, those symptoms sounds very similar to what I experienced too. The headache thing for me was weird because I never have headaches. Sounds very promising. So are you waiting till FMU to do that FRER? I don't think you need to wait personally. 😇

AlexiaB · 06/01/2017 16:08

Kathrino I agree. I found some of it extra weird so I started noting it down. Never done that before but glad I did. I think expect the unexpected!

Congrats sk1p ! When we had our wedding meeting Dh got the date of our wedding wrong lol!

Kathrino · 06/01/2017 16:04

Flash, Starky appears from time to time under a new name...pretty sure she promised us pictures last time! I think she had a boy about 6 (?) weeks ago. She's still on the grads thread.

sk1pper, I spent ages rehearsing with my DH when we went to register the marriage so we'd know the answers to the questions because I was so worried. In the end, the reigstrar looked at us and said she didn't need to ask as anything. I was so disappointed!

Alexia - thank you for sharing! It's funny how everyone has such a different experience in terms of their symptoms. What I take from that is you can't rule anything in or out until you get that BFP.

AlexiaB · 06/01/2017 16:03

skipper that's amazing, congrats. I remember being so nervous too!

Flash She had a baby boy called Lawrence Elijah Bryn weighing roughly 8lb 15oz if I remember correctly, ended up with a c-section after a 24 labour or something. Believe she had him Nov 28th or very very close to that date. Promise I'm not a stalker, just have a good memory!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 16:00

Quick random question for all the oldies on here, does anyone know when Starky had her baby/what she had?

sk1pper · 06/01/2017 15:48

Alexia - your symptom record is amazing. Unfortunately I've had nearly every symptom on there at one stage or another in the 2ww. Ho hum!

OH and I registered for our marriage today, I was so nervous when she was asking me the questions. I have the postcode of our previous address and I nearly had a mind blank when she asked me OHs surname. I hate it when I get like that! We also both spent 10 mins looking at toddler clothes in Next, a women came over and asked if we needed help and we both burst out laughing. We know she meant with the clothes but we were both thinking something different.

AlexiaB · 06/01/2017 15:33

Lol girls! Feel quite Blush at some of it but here goes...

LOADS of super creamy CM, very white and wet. Saturated my underwear, especially at 6&7dpo.

Night nausea. 3 times between 1dpo and 7dpo I woke suddenly feeling sick at around 1.30-2am. I never actually threw up, just had weird burps and gas and weirdly always had to do a no.2. Bizarre!

I got some sore stopped-me-in-my-tracks shooty stabby pains on the top left side of my pubic bone late 5dpo and into 6dpo.

More creamy, wet CM 8dpo. Bad headache 2 days in a row (8&9dpo), regular odd twinges, gassy. From 7dpo had a cold/runny nose despite being boiling hot constantly. No sore boobs the whole tww but boobs feel a bit bigger.

Butterfly feelings 9dpo, mild period cramps 10dpo.

Congratulations pug and keeping my fx for a nice strong line tomorrow alexia!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 15:31

Sorry Ginger i see you already found that thread!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 15:31

Thanks skipper and kathrino. Definitely not TMI Alexia we need to know what we will (hopefully) be in for soon!

Kathrino · 06/01/2017 15:27

Alexia, surely you know by now that nothing is TMI for this thread?! I'd be very keen to know your symptoms if you're happy to share.

Winging, so many people are ill at the moment with really nasty colds. Look after yourself! Flowers

Flash, it's not pathetic at all! Having been through what you've been through, it's no wonder that you're worried. I'm glad the GP was able to help reassure you though.

This afternoon is really dragging. There's only so much time I can spend knicker checking...all my clothes feel really tight too but I think it's just a combo of overeating and spending the last few weeks wearing clothes with elasticated waists...

sk1pper · 06/01/2017 15:23

Flash - fish oil and vit E are definitely safe. I've written in my book not to take Vit E during your period...can't remember why. Probably induces it more. Make sure it's fish oil not cod liver oil. Cod liver oil is very harmful to pregnant women and you don't want to risk it.

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 15:23

Ginger this is a great thread, my first and favourite, but if you're looking for some extra support for TTC post MC, there's a thread for that too, which I'm also on and you might like to have a poke around on there too.

I just spoke to the GP who said that as I'm having regular length periods, she's not super concerned about a few days light spotting but that if I want to see someone I can go and she will refer me to the community gynae. But she was reassuring and said they didn't see anything worrying during surgery so there's no reason to think it will happen again. I know it's pathetic I'm just desperate for any kind of reassurance!

Pugmummy87 · 06/01/2017 15:22

winging I think we dtd a little more, we dtd 0-3 0-2 & 0-1 in fertile window, but had regular sex before and after. I think they key is dtd on 0-2/0-1. Gives time for the sperm to get to where they are needed, ready and waiting for the egg.
Oh and I used my ovusense sensor which I think really helped in predicting ovulation and then confirming it. Who knows, could have been a total fluke!

Also, the only other thing I have noticed is my resting heart rate has increased! I wear my fitbit all the time and in the last 6 days it's definitely gone up.

alexia I think I can see a faint line too. Definitely try with fmu tomorrow!

geeup · 06/01/2017 15:19

YES WERE INTERESTED!!!! (Well I am Grin)
