Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Pug, Alexia,Kwick - stay as long as you like, were not ready to loose you yet. Xx

I just had blood when I wiped, I think I'm about 3dpo. That's too early for implantation right? It could it be from the cyst. Ugh fucking body!!

Pugmummy87 · 08/01/2017 22:03

jam sorry your DH has been a bit of a douche. As others have said though, men don't always think about things like we do and maybe he just doesn't realise. I would think that sperm would be more affected by regular drinking rather than the odd night out, but I'm no expert. Hope you manage to have a chat with him.

Flowers to kath and Harriet

kwick your macaroni cheese sounds lovely. Hope you are doing OK.

Good to hear from you alexia. I think it's a positive sign that your temp has stayed up and I'm sure you will get an obvious positive test very soon.

I tested again this morning and the test line is definitely darker than 2 days ago and slightly darker than yesterday. I am trying to not get to hung up on darkening lines as there are so many variables that can affect how the line appears and I fear it will drive me mad! However, I could see the test line developing within about 30 seconds this morning, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

I feel otherwise well, ??starting to feel a bit nauseous or I just seem to be more hungry as eating seems to get rid of the feeling.
I don't feel quite ready for grads thread just yet.

EJ2009 · 08/01/2017 21:17

Mouse - thank you for the positivity. I got the opk & ewcm but nothing after, i.e. temp or symptoms to indicate it ever took place. I have a lot of post ovulation symptoms usually

MouseLove · 08/01/2017 21:03

Oh Alexia, when you come over to the grads can you gently coax kwick with you too. No jinxing exists, PMA PMA! I feel fine but DH has noticed I'm going to the loo more, I'm in laalaa land really.

I really fancy mac and cheese now. Sods lol

sk1pper · 08/01/2017 20:49

Macaroni cheese is my death row meal. Love it - yours sounds delicious Kwick - especially with those veg sides xx

kwick · 08/01/2017 20:27

Alexia hang in there!!! Bloody hope AF stays away!!!

mouse I am struggling to keep my eyes open... think I will have (another) early night. How are you feeling?
Macaroni cheese went down well - I also make signature sides of oven toasted tomatoes with garlic cloves; wilted spinach and mushrooms with red wine and parsley. Normally have left overs for days - but I was more restrained this time and it is all gone!
Macaroni cheese not as nice as usual as bro has got even stricter and can only use vege cheese - so no gruyere or emmental.

AlexiaB · 08/01/2017 20:24

Mouse oh yeh don't worry about those digi. They're notorious for messing people around and causing undue stress. I think you're right on track :) Are you having an early scan to get dated? I want to join the grads but I'm too scared I'll jinx myself

I suppose if it's having a positive effect then you keep temping. I'm guessing you'd stop once you're happy with your test?

I'm ok, not feeling much different but having cramps. Some bad but short ones on Friday. Then had a mini panic with my clear blue dud test. I'm still showing 2-3 but I'm not worried. This is normal. I just need to keep focused and positive (in every sense.) x

Let us know if you decide to test again!! X

AlexiaB · 08/01/2017 20:09

Harriet I used them for 2 cycles and hated them. I never got a peak reading even though I ovulated (confirmed by ic opk and temps). I think it's because my surge is short and typically happens in the afternoon. They have worked for others on here though so fx they work for you. Back up with ic's if you can. They're also ridiculously expensive, feel like I should have just burned £60 instead.

harrietm87 · 08/01/2017 20:05

So I spent about £45 in boots on clear blue digital opks today (still not cheap even with 3 for 2) EVEN though I have about a million cheapie opks already. Why am I such a sucker?? Has anyone used them and are they any good?

AF still in (very) full flow but getting prepared!

AlexiaB · 08/01/2017 20:05

Music thanks for the pep talk Smile I agree and that's why I haven't tested again and have been fine relying on my temps and no af. I'm 12dpo so want to wait to 14/15 to test again. Hope you're ok?

Lol Mouse I know but it's comforting atm. I'll keep going until I see a nice strong line. How are you feeling? Xx

MouseLove · 08/01/2017 19:44

Alexia you trooper!! But really, stop temping. You'll drive yourself mad. That's still a really nice high temp. PMA PMA PMA. That line will darken. I know it. X

sk1p another cyst blow out? Are you bloody ok???? I wonder if you're producing multiple eggs each ovulation? X

Kath, your attitude is inspiring, I'm happy for you to get the ball rolling. It's one step closer! X

Kwick... can I have some of that mac and cheese please. My absolute favourite!! How are you feeling?? X

EJ, like the boobs, never trust the OPK. I didn't get a positive on my BFP cycle. X

EJ2009 · 08/01/2017 19:44

Jam yes i think i usually ovulate so hoping its a one off. I'm maonly concerned now with how long my cycle might be.

kathrino i was discussing something else with the gp recently & ttc came up. She has told me to go back in April with dh if no luck by then.

Musicgrrl · 08/01/2017 19:27

Alexia no spotting or AF is fab. I know because of your short LP it seemed like you should have a strong positive when AF didn't show but remember that a lot of people here hold off testing until 13/14dpo or even later so please don't be downhearted by faint like that early. Hope the distraction is going well Smile

Flashinthepan · 08/01/2017 19:24

Thanks for the hugs and love. Had a good weekend. Just trying to think what will be will be. Trying the whole PMA thing. And hopefully acupuncture will continue to help regulate things as well as trying skippers suggestion of Fish oil and vitamin e. I think I'm having phantom pregnancy symptoms because I've been stressing so much. Going to start going to yoga for some relaxation. Hope everyone else's weekend is good/improving. Hugs to anyone who needs/wants them.

Kathrino · 08/01/2017 19:05

Thanks guys, I'm not really that upset about it as I think I've already accepted that it's not going to be as easy as just DTD and getting a BFP. Just keen to get started with the tests etc so we can work out what the best route will be for us.

Kwick, I'm holding out for Sherlock tonight (even though I haven't really liked it since the first series) but yeah, bugger all otherwise.

AlexiaB · 08/01/2017 18:58

jam so sorry your DH did that to you. I'm sure he didn't do it maliciously but I completely understand you feeling like he's not on your team. He should be trying just as hard as you are, especially as he's the one with the issue. I would be angry too! Hope you get it sorted soon Flowers Hope the funeral goes as well as can be expected.

Kathrino ahh I'm gutted for you Sad So sorry lovely FlowersCake Hope you have a nice fuck it day lined up.

Pug great PMA! And how lovely to see those words! Hope you're doing ok.

skipper the cyst sounds awful. HOPE you're not in pain anymore Flowers

kwick enjoy your family lunch! Hope your macaroni goes down well Grin

Binky really hope it's not af, but if so I'm sending you lots of love Flowers Hope you can still enjoy your trip.

Sorry EJ. I hope it's just a one off anovulatory cycle for you. They are very common but I know that doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

Orange hope it's still too early for you!

Sorry I can't reply to everyone individually but I'm sending big hugs and Flowers to everyone who needs it, especially you Bluebird. Hope you come back soon xx

I've been trying to keep myself distracted this weekend. No af or spotting still (3 days late now) but I didn't test today. I couldn't handle it. Temp was 36.80. I'm focused on making it to 14/15dpo then I'll feel more confident.

kwick · 08/01/2017 18:40

Really sorry kathrino Flowers

Is it just me is there nothing on TV worth watching? I hate to say it: I am bored!!! but not so bored that I am gonna do my tax return

Londonjam · 08/01/2017 17:49

Sorry kath I really thought you were another BFP this month 💐💐 better luck next cycle hon

Hippychic79 · 08/01/2017 17:37

Jam - I agree a one off shouldn't affect sperm quality that much although I'm no expert xxx

Flowers Kath xxxx

Kathrino · 08/01/2017 14:06

I wouldn't have thought that one session would have a huge impact Jam, it's more likely to be the** people who drink always over the limit constantly where there's the biggest effect.

AF has definitely arrived so I'm cycle 14, CD 1 now. Next testing day is 7 Feb.

Pyjamas81 · 08/01/2017 11:55

I think it affects everyone differently jam, but I don't think that one binge drink will affect things too much, it would be more of a problem if it was regular drinking. DH had a MEGA session the night before is SA and it was all fine, if that's any comfort. But I do see why you're annoyed!

sk1pper · 08/01/2017 11:54

Kwick - I looked into PCOS but I have none of the classic symptoms. I'll take a look at this though - thanks xx

Londonjam · 08/01/2017 11:49

💐💐💐 EJ sorry no egg , how frustrating. Is this a one off for you? Hope you get back on track v soon

Londonjam · 08/01/2017 11:46

💐💐💐skipper that sounds really painful. Have you mentioned this to your gp?
