I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

I'm at the stage when a month off the shagshagshag thing would be a relief, but yes, you are right. And those glace cherries really are f*cking disgusting.

duchesse · 24/02/2007 20:59

"Dancing on Ice"? Beansprout, I doubt it could go downhill from here. Which I suppose is reassuring. At least you're not ovulating this week while your husband's away. That would have been the cherry on the cake.

Dh is away for a week. Doesn't need to be away but has wangled a training course in Scotland (we are in London). Leaves me and ds and yep, I'm ill. Could I be any happier?

Plus, am entering TSTW (copyright Duchesse) territory. Not that I care of course, or even hold out much hope, but it's something to hang over me.

I'm at my parents' for a couple of days and they are watching "Dancing on Ice". Good grief....

Impatience · 24/02/2007 16:23

Lulu, I'm pleased you got to explain yourself.

I am SOOOOOOO tired, and dp has been working all day, and ds has been very demanding, and somehow in a couple of hours I'm going to have to doll myself to go out for posh dinner and be all interesting. Bugger!

Oh no, that's my 5 min break over! Oh poor me. Back to the screamer.

lulu1414 · 24/02/2007 13:19

Hi all- last night was OK, actually. I managed to say how I was feeling about it all this morning, so feel much more understood! Grump levels still high, however!

Catbabymummy · 24/02/2007 13:16

Dh and I are busy decorating...

Impatience · 24/02/2007 12:29

NO!

Busy, tired and grumpy. Full-on tantrums from ds and so much to do. Failed to get car tax. Harumph.

duchesse · 24/02/2007 11:18

It's awfully quiet in here today, gals. Everyone hip-hop-happy? Spring springing etc? Gagh!

I'm so glad you finally got a positive OPK, Impatience. It also means that everything is in fine working order in the ovulation department, which can only be good news. I'd have thought the cheapo LH detectors would be just as good as the shop-bought ones though. At least you have something to aim at now, even if you have (maybe but not yet) missed this month. The Wed one may work yet.

Er..not that I'm trying to sound hopeful at all, you understand, nor even buoy you up.

It's a real shame that she can't give you the support you need. Perhaps going out for cocktails instead is a good idea. At least you can keep volunteering to go to the bar (and stand where you won't get served for ages) if they insist on talking about the friend's scan.

How crappy. I hope it works out ok.

lulu1414 · 23/02/2007 17:09

They are- she is one of my best friends, but has not been great about all of this. I think it has surprised her how upset I have been and for so long- I am usually pretty tough. Argh- maybe I'll just go out for cocktails instead!

Impatience · 23/02/2007 17:07

Lulu, I think you need to tell them. 5 months isn't very long at all. And people just don't understand that a mc of any kind is still the death of a child, and that hurts. Poor you.

Are they the kind of friends you can have this chat with?

Impatience · 23/02/2007 17:05

Thanks LL, of course you're right. My lazy brain told me that my temp hike this morning meant I ov'd yesterday so don't bother. But that hike could have been a blip. I did do a tough run then come home to a huge glass of wine! Lazy brain shut up, LH-LL has spoken.

lulu1414 · 23/02/2007 17:05

They may do, but I think they think since it was almost 5 months ago I think they think I am (should be) over it. Probably don't realise how sensitive I am about the scan photo either (I wierdly? carried mine around until a few weeks ago)

Impatience · 23/02/2007 17:02

yikes Lulu, that sounds tough. Do they both know about your m/c and the fact that when you came home from your scan you'd found the baby had died? If not, you need to tell them, and do so before that friend turns up with her scan pics.

If it were me, I'd want to say that sitting talking about the friend's scan was really hurting me, but that that doesn't take away from the fact I'd be happy for the pg friend. Hopefully, given that you're all friends, you'd all be able to both congratulate her on her good stuff, and commiserate you for your bad stuff. The two are separate, and hopefully they would both see that.

surely they both know about this, and might tone it down for you?hopefully anyway.sorry i dont have much help, but i hope you will be ok

lulu1414 · 23/02/2007 16:54

OK- sorry to change the subject, but need a bit of a rant... Here is the situation... I am going to stay over at a friend's house tonight and I know that her sister (also a friend) is coming by because she just had her first scan. I am so terrified of going over there as I know it is going to hurt like c--p because I will just keep thinking of how when I came home from my scan I knew my baby had just died. I am happy for her, but worried that I won't be able to hide the hurt... What to do?

Impatience · 23/02/2007 16:53

Thanks you ever-so-LHy one. My LH test was only positive at 10pm last night, and negative at 4pm yesterday and 10am this morning, so your 2 days impresses me!
How does your cm tally with your LH and temp rise - when does it go?

I've had no cm today (apart from the measly deep-mining results) and cervix feels pretty closed. I'm tempted to not bother treking over to inseminate, except that I am on my last few months now so should just do it. Afterall, this LH suggests that I should be ovulating perhaps tonight. We only got one other insem in, on Wed evening, so go on and slap me about and tell me to pull my finger out () and go.

(Thanks for letting me hog the thread with ttc chart type chat - I can't face going over and chatting with all the upbeat bound-to-conceive bunnies)
