I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

i know, i was just a tad...... emotional

duchesse · 06/03/2007 22:27

They prob meant "lucky to be still alive", but that's really not what you want to hear when your dreams are being dashed.

She also knew I'd just had an erpc (sorry, didn't make that very clear)

the nurses just kept telling me how lucky i was, i sobbed all the way to theatre and while i was being knocked out, and was asked to calm down

duchesse · 06/03/2007 22:23

wonders if Aitch was at the Royal Devon and Exeter for her surgery

My recovery nurse was phoning the delivery suite as I woke up, to check on the progress of her nephew's partner's labour. Like she couldn't have waited the extra 5 minutes till I was taken back to the ward. Yes, she did know I was awake.

impatience, the nurse who woke me up from surgery for my second ectopic pregnancy actually said that to me.

duchesse · 06/03/2007 22:20

Anybody, ANYBODY who starts ranting about wanting their pregnancy to be over from about 28 weeks onwards. ffs, you know when you sign up that it's for the full nine months, so why try to find the get out clause after only 6? Surely it's better for your kid to stay in the extra few weeks?

Similarly, anybody who organises a social caesarian at 37 weeks without any medical indications

'count your blessings! I wish I'd never had my 3. You're better off without'em'

lissielou · 06/03/2007 22:14

never mind, you can always try again!

grrrrr

Impatience · 06/03/2007 22:13

Ah, good tip, thanks!

Anyway, enough serious chat over, where're more reasons to slay the merry b'dusters?

lissielou · 06/03/2007 22:08

good idea. the social worker who was assigned to us made it v clear that we had to come to terms with our infertility first.

Impatience · 06/03/2007 22:07

I think adoption is a wonderful thing to do for a child, and society. (now how wanky does THAT sound?!) What makes more sense than people with the desire and ability to love and care for a child and children who desperately need those things to team up? It's common sense! I'm really up for it. Just need to close the book on this incessant failure first.

lissielou · 06/03/2007 22:04

the main reason was ds coming along, but we are re-considering now if we get bad news from the specialist. cant afford IVF unless we use dhs grad loan in 4y

Impatience · 06/03/2007 22:02

Lissie, did you decide not to go ahead with adopting because ds came along? Would you go for it again, whether or not you have any more bios?

beansprout · 06/03/2007 21:58

Sorry officer, but I was just trying to tell her how difficult I'm finding the whole process and she said, "well, they do say, if you want to give God a good laugh, tell him your plans" (true story).

No jury would convict.

lissielou · 06/03/2007 21:58

ooh ill try the morphine today, feeling mellow

beansprout · 06/03/2007 21:56

Yep, circles over the eyes and a general round quality to all letters, even those where it really isn't necessary.

Right. Crack pipe anyone?

lissielou · 06/03/2007 21:55

its natures way....

let me at them!!!!!!!!

AitchTwoOh · 06/03/2007 21:55

it wasn't meant to be...

AitchTwoOh · 06/03/2007 21:54

at least you lost the babies early, so it didn't hurt as much. [not comforting]
