MrsC thanks for your info! It's confusing isn't it as the cheapie stick OPKs recommend exactly what you said about doing it during the day but the clearblue digital recommends FMU. I have tracked my ovulation for 3 months now with the clearblue monitor and I have never had a peak LH result on FMU... always later in the day (when I've tested at multiple times around my fertile window) so I would agree with the advice you've given. I think maybe because the clearblue digital also tests for oestrogen rise (well the dual hormone version anyway) they rely on FMU for that primarily.

So... I just learned something new I think.... I bought a pack of cheap pregnancy tests and cheapy ovulation tests, I'm gonna test for ovulation in a few days as AF is gone today and I'm convinced I ovulate early, anyway the pregnancy tests advise using first morning urine which I knew but the ovulation test specifically advise against using it as we have the hormone at a low level all the time and it could build up overnight and cause a false positive so it said to do it during the day, I did not know this although maybe everyone else did! Anyway thought I would pass on my new found knowledge!

Had quite a bit of that too grumpy and red! Hoping it's a good sign but still no sign of AF. I did come off the pill a few years ago just for a break, and it did take a month i think, so will only worry after that point :)

grumpy i also had thick stretchy mucus about 12 days after coming off the pill too! Still no AF though

I used to work at Mothercare HQ, they have a HQ shop which is end of season stuff or good samples that they chose not to take on etc. It opened once a week and was VERY cheap! There was a waiting list for pushchairs but they were like £20. Complete outfits for £1 etc. Shame i got made redundant!!

TMI alert.... Yesterday eve i had clear/milky sticky mucus. Not masses but at least something is going on down there

Jupiter How many cycles have you put into Ovia? I wouldn't stress too much about when it says your most fertile day is as it's just based on an average... any day from 5 days before OV is fine to concieve!

Grumpy might be pre-AF discharge if really thick? EWCM is sticky but thin enough for sperm to actually penetrate. Maybe you're gearing up for a bleed.

Timefortea sounds like good plan, can't imagine being pregnant would be a problem, let us know what GP says. You could easily lose bulk of that weight before March!

Jupiter also sperm can live 5 days after ejaculation so I would not worry sounds like you DTD enough!

My DH had a "oh my god what if this actually happens?!" last night. I'm 1DPO today (am counting yesterday as day I ovulated after getting peak on OPK the day before) and hope we DTD enough over the last five days. If it's not TMI we did it on -3,-1,and ovulation day yesterday. Ovia now saying that -2 most fertile day so hope we haven't missed the boat..this is all so complicated!

Wiggley It is very exciting! I have allowed myself £150 for tonights shopping spree! I have decided to get all the stuff for bottle making (As I am going to do a combination of bottle and breast fed). It is all on half price at mother care at the moment because Tommee Tippee are bringing out a new range.. but overall it saves like £150 buying the stuff on sale and SIL managed fine with it all! What OPK's are you buying?

Grumpy Do not panic it is EWCM! also you might be losing a pill induced plug, I did about 2 weeks before my first post pill AF which would line up with Ov dates... Time to get shagging!!!

Thanks guys! Well we DTD properly this morning (struggling to find a good phrase for this...) so it looks like "not actively trying" for us just means seeing what happens.. DH face afterwards.. "what if this works?!"

If / when AF arrives I'll start tracking with the CBFM aiming to conceive in may but not going to be upset if it accidentally happens in the mean time

Sounds like EWCM grmupy so you are probably in your fertile week/ovulating. Fingers crossed that's what it is!
