Just want to say to anyone testing before AF due, please remember that some people don't get BFPs until a lot later.

I tested the day AF was due, and 2 days after that and both tests were negative. I was so down about it and convinced myself AF was just around the corner, got the normal AF cramps etc but she didn't arrive.

5 days after the last test I took another test and it was FINALLY positive - on CD42. My HCG levels were obviously too low to be picked up for a while - everyone is different.

So if you are taking pg tests at 6/10/14 dpo, and tests still saying negative, there is still a chance you could be. It's a case of waiting to see if AF arrives or not.

We all get desperate to see two lines, we know how soul destroying it is when they don't both appear, but try to be optimistic until AF actually appears . Then if she appears you can drink a LOT of wine 🍷

Make sure you are in a good frame of mind before taking a test so you are prepared to deal with it if it's not positive. I totally couldn't face another BFN after the two others I initially took - hence it took me another 5 days to pluck up the courage.

Sorry just wanted to say that as I know how bad people take it when they get a BFN really early on (me included in that).

10dpo here but no symptoms atm so holding off a few more days just because I'm sick of looking at BFNs

It's possible. If you can spare a test and you won't be really gutted by a negative I'd say it's worth a try! :)

Hi Okydoke, in my previous two pregnancies I got positive tests 11/12 dpo so I would say it is possible

Ovia has my fertile week as 3rd to 9th of december so im guessing im about 12dpo? 2 days til ovia says my period is due too. If i tested now is there a chance id get a bfp at 12dpo?

So I'm on day 4 of flashing smiley faces on my CB OPK, but have ewcm since yesterday. Have dtd every night for last 3 nights 🤞🏻

I caved and tested two days prior to anticipated af ... big fat negative ... So upset right now . After years of trying not to get pregnant, how can it be so hard. That said my oh works a lot and we only dtd once in my fertile window, so I think I should give myself a break . Still gutted though.

I've gifted my unused tests to my close friend who is a week late and also TTC. Given that we've both had fertility problems, it would be so awesome if she is pregnant too.

You are all being very strong not testing too soon. I on the other hand have just splurged on a clear blue digital to use on xmas morning (14 dpo)

I want to test too Luckily (or not?!) I have absolutely no way of getting a test.

Symptom spotting is ramping up here. I even asked DH to feel my boobs and he said "You're either pregnant or about to have a really big period."

Ahem. We have become slight experts on this it seems.

Hi Ksk - how long are your cycles? Sounds like your pretty much in tune with your body so I'd start dtd every other day if you can. My cycles are 29 days and I got a smiley face on cb opk on day 15. I read that you optimise chance by dtd 2-3 days before you ovulate as it gives sperm chance to mature - but the process is so complex and varies for everyone so my advice would be baby dance as much as you can - hope this helps and good luck xxx

I'm still crampy which is weird, i tend to only feel like that around ov or imminent af. This last cycle has proven otherwise! i'm now day 7 so gearing up for fw. So with the clear blue opk am i right that you start dtd once you see flashing smileys until they go away?

Thanks lovechild and kskifred. I'm not feeling positive. Although I've felt twinges and light a tight feeling down in that area for the last few days. Just wish I knew what was going on. Going to try not to test tomorrow but it's so tempting isn't it. It's such an expense! I have a family so tomorrow so i need to work out how I can get around not drinking just in case. Fingers crossed for the tww OhB!

OPK definitely negative now, the darkest one must have been a positive...

I guess that's me back in the tww. Still going to carry on every other day to account for the extra Christmas food
