I think period is 3-4 days late - not sure as dd is only 10 months & my periods only restarted 3 months ago & have been slightly irregular.

Bought a 2 pack of Boots tests & did one in cafe toilet because I couldn't wait till I got home. There was the faintest blue vertical line, but decided I was imagining things. Both previous pregnancies obvious +ve results.

Stuck the test back in its wrapper & in my bag because I really wasn't sure. Over the next half hour a still faint, but definite line developed - BUT now I've read that you can get a false +ve if it's more than 10 minutes since you did the test?

...should I hold off doing the other test from the pack till the morning? Not sure I can!

Hi,
Congratulations first! LOL

Those tests...I think they can say you are not pregnant when in fact you are, but if they register a line or + then you are pregnant!
I have three kids and as we had all kinds of fertility treatment tests etc I used loads of these and have become a bit of an expert! LOL So thin blue line with pee any time of day and you are pregnant!!!

Congrats

Fiona

My af is due in about 4 days or so, i'm having pg symptoms already but im just so confused why I only see the + sign in sunlight. I heard that clearblue are not very good, so now im confused which test to get... too many to choose from =/

nearlythree · 19/02/2007 11:26

Could be, starz. When I got pg with no 3 I did a test and there was the faintest of lines. I re-took it two days' later and it looked like someone had drawn in the line with felt tip it was that dark!

Congrats, Eeek!

FurryFox · 19/02/2007 11:19

If the line was definately there then I would say yes you are pg, even if the line was faint. They say you can't get a false positive.

Do you know when af was due? I would do another test in a day or so just to confirm

Starzrus · 19/02/2007 10:51

Hi, 2 weeks ago i had what i would think was implantation (pinkish discharge) but yesterday i took a pg test and it had a faint blue positive line when held up to the sunlight within the time limit, does anyone know if this is indeed a genuine pos? thx

Was just about to ask the same thing

amidaiwish · 17/02/2007 10:08

well?
what's the result this morning??

airy · 17/02/2007 02:04

I'd say it is a duff test, but I don't know that they'd refund you for it tbh. For all they know you could have messed it up and done it wrong?
Although how anyone could ever get weeing on a stick wrong is beyond me

VeniVidiVickiQV · 17/02/2007 01:54

NOpe. If the control window doesnt owrk then its a duff test, isnt it?

with DD1 i did a test and it was a very faint blue line...
then did one later that day and it was negative, nothing, zip
then did one before i went to bed and again, nothing.
the next morning: big fat blue vertical!

so, esp if you drink lots of water etc you must wait until the morning!! let us know but i'd be amazed if it wasn't positive

FurryFox · 16/02/2007 21:31

I got 17 cheapy ones from ebay last month because I am a terrible tester am hoping I won't need to use them all though but you never know.

Good luck for tomorrow (that is if you want to be pg ) and let us know how you get on

eekaline · 16/02/2007 21:16

No - never needed more than one before! (In fact I've only ever bought one twin pack before - the spare test was dug out of a drawer when we suspected dd was on the way!)

Trip to Tescos in the morning then! Bugger bugger bugger

FurryFox · 16/02/2007 21:14

Arghh how annoying. Have you got another test you could do in the morning? Sorry, not trying to encourage you even more

eekaline · 16/02/2007 21:09

Bloody HELL.

Done 2nd test (you knew I would!) & no vertical line OR line in the control window. Batch of duff tests maybe?

Can't think it's anything I'm doing wrong - both times have held stick in stream for 5 seconds, result within seconds 1st time - no result AT ALL this time.

Londonlottie is right - ignore my advice. I'm just getting impatient for you now

FurryFox · 16/02/2007 20:58

Been there myself. Then as soon as you do it and it's negative you wish you hadn't done it

If you think it might put your mind at rest then test - I know I would
