My last period was 18th November. Usually spot on cycles and no bother whatsoever with bleeding in between

Quick check of calculator says I should be ovulating right now - we are not actively TTC but wouldn't mind if we did..

Now this today - sorry Sad..not heavy enough to be a period?! Is this what spotting is? Only blood when I wipe, it's pink/reddy so fresh blood; not brown..nowhere near enough to soak a pad or anything

Any ideas?

TMI (photo inc) and very sorry..

Would people be reacting like this if it was a photo of a nosebleed? What's the Germaine Greer quote - if the thought of tasting your own menstrual blood makes you feel sick you've got a long way to go to emancipation?

sonlypuppyfat · 01/12/2016 19:56

I had lots of brown blood when I was pregnant and everything was fine. It's nice to see you're getting lots of support Hmm

Chitterlings · 01/12/2016 19:55

Navy, you have not had anything constructive to add.

Please go and find a lovely thread to post on where Father Christmas is real, everyone gets on with everyone in their families (esp their MIL), and women don't ever see blood on toilet tissue.

How are you tracking your ovulation? I 'thought' I knew when I was but apparently I was ovulating far earlier than that (right after the period) and I was pregnant and didn't know it and had an implantation bleed like that. Almost exactly 2 weeks before the next period was due. Worth testing?

ClopySow · 01/12/2016 19:53

Because you keep mentioning me in your posts and asking me more questions. I'm happy to stop whenever.

CookieLady · 01/12/2016 19:53

Op, ignore the twits complaining about the pic.

herethereandeverywhere · 01/12/2016 19:50

I was referred to a gynae for bleeding between periods.

It could be:

  • hormonal fluctuation leading to mid-cycle bleed
  • Hormonal fluctuation leading to early/late period and this is the beginning
  • implantation bleed assuming sex was the correct time before it (google to see when that would be)
  • due to some sort of physical scratch/damage which happened during sex
  • a problem with the cervix which is bleeding, usually after sex or vigorous exercise.

Keep an eye on and note of symptoms. See GP if they persist and are not normal for your body/cycle.

Ankleswingers · 01/12/2016 19:49

It looks the same colour as the implantation bleed that I had with DS1.

Good luck OP

Haha! Have you read your own posts navy?

FannyFifer · 01/12/2016 19:45

FGS, it's a bit of blood on a tissue, I could show you all a way more tmi manky photo than that.

OP, don't mind them, could be implantation, could be wee bit of blood from a uti, just keep an eye on it & see GP if worried.

Littleballerina · 01/12/2016 19:43

I love that people are clutching pearls at a bit of blood!
Go to GP if worried op. And remember that when experiencing 'lady issues' you should sit in a dark cupboard until it's over rather than asking for advice on mn.

Deadsouls · 01/12/2016 19:42

Oh god GROW UP people complaining about blood on piece of tissue, it's totally natural and normal. Jeez, there's a lot bloody worse on the internet or tv.

Anyway OP, it could implantation bleeding. I had the same and some pains in my uterus. Turned out I was pregnant.

Leave the thread if it offends you. Or hang around and point and stare. Whatever makes you miserable.

Grin I think that is my favourite ever MN post.

She specifically wrote TMI and said there would be a picture included... What did you expect? Don't be so soft people! It's a bit of blood she's concerned about!
Some people spot when they are ovulating, it could be implantation bleeding or it could well be spotting for no particular reason. The female reproductive system is just confusing. X

BastardGoDarkly · 01/12/2016 19:31

Well then don't click on a TMI... SORRY... PHOTO INCLUDED ... Thread?!

Move it to conception OP, you'll get more understanding there.

Oh FGS, OP stated TMI and photo included in the title. Why would you click on it if you are easily offended.

How is something that is seen by most women every month offensive??!!

Tis I haven't got any advice to offer, but please don't feel bad about your post.

Soubriquet · 01/12/2016 19:25

I'm not disgusted. Not at all

But I would rather know what the photo was before I clicked on the link
