I have to admit I have been obsessing over ttc for 5 months. I've had 3 cp and been devastated. I've had sore boobs for 10 days and dizziness. My AF is due today, so I took a test. I'm not too sure if I'm seeing things.

Relax. This stress is not going to help create a nice healthy environment for you and your baby. There's NOTHING you can do either way but you can help this pregnancy by staying calm. Really try. X

mamarach26 · 29/11/2016 23:47

Everyone keeps saying "just relax" but I haaate not knowing. I've told my mum now, just hope I don't have to tell her I'm not again Sad how are you?

You're doing the right thing. Taking the vitamins and trying to resist testing is much better for you, although I know it's so much easier said than done!
Fingers crossed AF stays the hell away from you!

mamarach26 · 29/11/2016 23:16

Thanks for your reply, I'm doing a clear blue one in the morning. Just to see if the weeks match up.. I know I shouldn't but I'm in limbo yet again. I just don't want to see AF I'm still taking vitamins and eating super healthy just in case.

I think I'm going insane..

The changing brands won't give you any idea.

When I had one of my MCs and was trying to get negative tests, one IC batch was so feint but another was really dark. I actually went to docs saying it was a new pregnancy as one batch was giving me barely there and another really dark. Hope it works out for you this time xx

mamarach26 · 28/11/2016 22:57

I'm so sorry Sad it's such a horrible feeling isn't it. The good thing is ovulation comes round every month so just practice until it's here again. I'll keep you in my thoughts, I have convinced myself it's gonna happen again just to prepare myself for the worst. I'm not gonna test till next week now. How many weeks will it say by 6 weeks? 4+ I should be a pro at them by now.

2ducks2ducklings · 28/11/2016 19:24

Well, after two days of very little bleeding, I had allowed myself to think a teeny bit positively. Big mistake!
Bleeding starting again tonight and the cramping has returned with a vengeance!
When will this nightmare end?
I just want the BFN, if that's what this is gearing up to, so that I can focus on getting my BFP!
I tell you what though, I'm not testing until I'm at least 3 bloody weeks late next time!

mamarach26 · 28/11/2016 09:54

Yeah that's what I'm gonna do, and I'm gone buy one every few weeks cause if I have them in the house I'm like a woman possessed! I'm not gonna do anymore till next week now, I promise! Halo

Bumplovin · 28/11/2016 09:50

Congratulations! Don't test every day you'll go insane. I got a clear blue digital and tested every 10 days it went from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks to 4+ that put my mind at ease then I had a private scan at 8w which really helped as we saw a heartbeat and it made the wait from 8-12 w for the nhs scan more bearable xx good luck best thing U can do is relax hard as it is stress is not good for baby so just focus really hard on trying to keep calm and eat well, take your vitamins etc xxx

mamarach26 · 28/11/2016 09:41

I know I'm making it worse, I'm acting like a mad woman! I'm gonna buy clear blue today and wait till mid week to test. Then I'll stop, I would be 5 weeks now wouldn't I? My last AF was 22nd October.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 28/11/2016 09:22

Definitely don't lie to get an early scan! It's way too early for it to show anything genuinely reassuring and it's also completely immoral; I am always shocked (and very judgemental) when I see women recommend it on these boards. Resources aren't infinite and you're clogging up a system with women who actually need the scans in it.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this worrying and upsetting time, but I agree with Sonnet that I think the daily testing is making it worse not better.

MrsBobDylan · 28/11/2016 09:13

It's a different brand of test, so you can't compare -you've had some strong positives, I know it's hard, but try not to test again for at least a few days.

FruitCider · 28/11/2016 09:12

Oh bless you! I remember being like this after my MMC - I took a test every day until I was 8 weeks pregnant and had a private scan Blush order some sensitive tests from eBay if you feel the need to keep weeing on them, otherwise you will bankrupt yourself Grin

Sending you positive thoughts and a very UN-MN (((hug)))!

mamarach26 · 28/11/2016 09:07

I can't lie to the doctor hahaha! Blush

Sonnet18 · 28/11/2016 09:07

You're using different brands, some are more sensitive than others. I had originally said test everyday if you think it'll help...I'm now thinking it isn't helping. Testing everyday will not change the outcome. Going for a scan at 4 weeks pregnant will not show a heartbeat or baby so again, won't help. Sorry, but I am afraid you need to find ways to relax and try to just wait it out as best you can. I've been in your position and know how hard it is.

AmyC86 · 28/11/2016 08:54

Go and request an early scan (say your bleeding or something) that might put your mind at rest.

And I have a really itchy belly button!

OP posts:
mamarach26 · 27/11/2016 20:46

Yes to all those things! I'm gonna get a pack of two clear blue tests the digital ones, so it's a clear pregnant or not pregnant. I don't even wanna tell my mum yet, I've told her the last two times then have to tell her I'm not.

OP posts:
2ducks2ducklings · 27/11/2016 20:37

Will do, last AF for me was the 20th October (not including whatever the hell has been going on the last week).
I secretly bought another 4 sainsburys tests today, so I've got enough in stock to last until Friday now!
Knicker watching has turned into a full time job for me and I'm sure I've got some sort of friction burn down there because of all the time I spending wiping, just incase! It's really enough to send you into a nervous breakdown isn't it?!

mamarach26 · 27/11/2016 17:32

It is torture, I'm on knicker watch every day at the minute so I feel your pain! I also want to be prepared for if I had another cp. I'm 5 weeks I think last AF was 22nd October!
Keep me updates 2ducks2ducklings!

OP posts:
BagelDog · 27/11/2016 16:09

Both the last two tests are nice strong positives. The tests are not an exact science so a bit of variation in the colour doesn't mean anything, as long as they are still clearly pink lines then try not to worry too much. How many weeks are you? Would getting a (private) early scan help to settle your worries once you get to six weeks or so?

2ducks2ducklings · 27/11/2016 16:06

I'm right in the middle of this constant testing nightmare!
Your tests look extremely positive OP, congratulations. I do however, understand exactly how you're feeling regarding testing everyday given your history.
I'm in a similar situation, a positive result the day before AF was due but with constant bleeding since the day I was due on. Sometimes fresh, red blood but mostly brown old stuff when I wipe. Since I'm so early on I can't be scanned until the 7th December. I'm on the edge of a breakdown during this wait. The only thing that is giving me the slightest (and I mean the tiniest) speck of comfort is to test every day. I want to go into that scan knowing if it's all over. I do not want to be blindsided if at all possible and would prefer to see the lines fade and eventually get negatives to giving myself false hope.
My husband is dead against this and thinks I'm torturing myself.
So I really understand and empathise with you OP and I have everything crossed for you that things go according to plan.

mamarach26 · 27/11/2016 09:52

I know what you're all saying. I'm gonna drive myself insane aren't I? I just don't wanna start bleeding again, nothing i can do about it though is there? I have one test left I'll do it mid week and just try and relax!

OP posts:
Gardencentregroupie · 27/11/2016 09:41

That line is very dark already, it may be that it's not going to get any darker and any variations in shade may be due to variations in the amount of dye in the test strip.
