Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Just did my last test, 20 day bloods. OH and I have already got an appointment in 2 weeks time to get the low down on all the results.

sk1pper · 16/11/2016 13:07

Kwick - my mum always made pickled eggs. OH and his fam were always like ugghh but they are fully converted now. Grin good luck for today! Thinking of you

Skip - what a random mix of interesting dreams. I'm jealous, my vivid dreams are always nightmares.

Welcome scottish!

kwick · 16/11/2016 12:22

Hello, can I join you all?
Hello kwick fancy seeing you here Grin

Name: Scottish
Age: 28
TTC #1
Cycle: Not sure, been trying for 13 months now
CD4

My cycles are usually around 34 days long but last month was 45 days (suspected anovulatory cycle).

The thread title caught my eye and I thought I'd join you lot if that's ok? You seem like a nice bunch Smile

kwick · 16/11/2016 10:20

fxskip I don't think Gwyneth is all that - I mean who calls their child "Apple"????

I had my scan this morning: follicle 15mm, which still below 16mm (preferred size prior to treatment) however Dr is hoping there is a mature egg inside (which is the important thing) as I am on cd20. Oestradiol levels good, lining good. All systems are go!!!
So magic potion going in at about 11.30am and will hopefully be there to meet egg (my version of SMEP) Grin
Need to remember to get pineapple on the way home.

FXSkip · 16/11/2016 09:34

Star I'm sorry you're down. It hits all of us every now and then every day and although it feels like its never going to happen, it will. Just keep going, doing things that make you happy.

Sk1pper thats funny Grin I'm 5dpo and had super vivid dreams last night, dreaming that I was a) pregnant b) a helicopter pilot and c) looked like Gwyneth Paltrow. Woke up very confused and disappointed to find none of those things were true.

Kwick I've got everything crossed for you - this is going to be the one :) :) :)

Mouse good work, an oldie but a goodie Wink

kwick · 15/11/2016 21:27

mouse but you are making money!!! i want to become a YouTube star... but not sure what to talk about and I am not so photogenic...
This the first time I have selloed down and charted the OPKs like this but I may have HPTS in a box somewhere I am going to be that old lady that when she dies they cannot get to her as there are piles of clutter everywhere Hmm

sk1pper I have never been brave enough to try a pickled egg - although I love gherkins and pickled onions...

sk1pper · 15/11/2016 21:04

This is the one Kwick - good luck!!

Oh mouse stop it! Grin now I want to get a scrap book for my OPKs, I've been chucking them in the bin up till now.

I've just raided my pickled eggs, had a massive craving. OH was like 'oooh your pregnant' I'm like, nope just a late night pig. Also only 2dpo...

Londonjam · 15/11/2016 20:37

Lsfx Kwick!!!!!!

Mouse I stick mine with sellotape. I've got the last couple of months but binned the rest of the year. Can't be good to see those Envy

MrsG280516 · 15/11/2016 20:37

FX Kwick!! Grow folly grow!

MouseLove · 15/11/2016 20:29

Kwick so are you testing with FMU? I was told not to. I did mine today at 1pm.

Also, do you stick them to the paper using celotape. I'm such a fucking weirdo. I don't know why i need to know. And do you keep them all in a folder.

Oh and I checked. $4 revenue from my YouTube. ROLLING IN IT. hahahaha.

Well, trust my luck, DH is "tired" Envy

kwick · 15/11/2016 20:03

Oh and this is my OPK chart... but you know I trust the blood test the clinic did over these

Whoop whoop Alexia!!! StarStarStar

fxskip you are so amazing!! I love that you did all this analysis!!!

Hmm interesting article Alexia Hmmnot sure how that science figures with IUI - but you know at this stage of the game i just have to trust that the FC knows what they are doing!!!

Oh God fxskip please behave at work tomorrow... maybe consider talkng in food for everyone of course I am not suggesting bribery!!!

mouse enjoy Rome - such a wonderful city!
OMG are you a Youtube millionaire???? Wink

That is right starmist at my FC if after noon then cd1 next day. Flowers have loads of Chocolate and Wine and Cake and whatever this is: Biscuit

Ok so ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO!!!!
Bloods taken today have shown LH surge, I have just stabbed myself with the trigger and I have a scan at 9am and if follicle big enough IUI at 11.30 tomorrow... it is what it is but I really hope there has been a miracle growth spurt since this morning. The milk I had in office fridge had turned and I did not have time to have lunch (again).

Londonjam · 15/11/2016 19:22

I know exactly how you feel hon Sad it's so incredibly hard. Don't apologise for feeling low - it's heart wrenching and lots of us have been there too. Right now you feel hopeless and that's fine, take care of yourself and do what you need to do - speak to your oh or a friend or read your fave book watch your fave film - whatever you need to get through the next day or so. That's honestly how I felt just before AF - like I wanted to chuck the whole thing in. In a few days you willl feel better, I promise FlowersFlowersFlowers

Nicky883 · 15/11/2016 19:21

Flowersstarmist ! It consumes you doesnt it ? Is all i think about i keep imagining tellingdh i am pregnant especially a few days before af Hmmi know what you mean it feels like its impossible now !

sk1pper · 15/11/2016 19:16

Sorry Star - we get you, I think we all say were okay when we're not really. Flowers

Only get the OPKs if youre sure you won't stress over them. Maybe try and nail down the day you ovulate and then only commit to using 4 or 5 a cycle after that if your cycles are regular. Xx

Starmist · 15/11/2016 18:50

I thought I was ok but I'm not. It's so unfair. I'm sick of thinking about TTC all the time. I wish we'd started years ago. I keep imagining what it'll be like to tell people I'm pregnant but it all seems pointless. I just don't feel like it's going to happen. Sorry for being down.

Londonjam · 15/11/2016 18:26

So sorry star I was kind of waiting for your BFP this time not sure why. It's not too late for it still. Flowers

Starmist · 15/11/2016 18:07

Looks like AF is finally starting to properly show herself. Am I right in thinking if AF starts in the evening, CD1 starts the next day?

I've ordered some opks. Never used them before as thought it would add to the stress (have just monitored cm for the past 5 cycles) but feel I need to try something different.
