Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

How important is drinking water for TTC? Like what does it actually do apart from keeping you super hydrated?

FXSkip · 17/11/2016 15:37

Alexia I am so so sorry to hear that, massive hugs to you. As they always say, CPs are normal and a sign that your body is working properly and this one wasn't meant to be sticky. However, it doesn't help much to hear this, I know. Take care of yourself lovely xxx

Thanks everyone for your kind words, really helped to know half of you have been there before. I really think that's the earliest I've ever tested. Usually I wait until I'm at least a week late, as I believe I had a CP earlier in the year (before my BFP) but never tested as I didn't want to know. I KNOW I still don't want to know, but for some reason I just cracked. Back to normal scheduling today, AF due in a week and I'm NOT TESTING BEFORE THEN. In other news I finally worked up the courage to tell Fertility Friend I'd had a miscarriage and not even an apology from it - and there was me thinking it was Ovia that was the bitch!

Hope you are wrong alexia Flowers

sk1pper · 17/11/2016 15:03

Sage* not safe but safe works

sk1pper · 17/11/2016 15:03

Alexia - no! I don't want to believe it. Can you get a different brand of test or try a cheapie if you've just been using clearblue? I know I said I didn't want you to leave us for your safe advice but you deserve it. Keep us updated - when should AF be due?

AlexiaB · 17/11/2016 14:51

Yes Wanting Sad My tests have stopped progressing, I woke up to deep red spotting today with small clots (it had been light pink before), I've had more frequent bowel movements (sign of af) and I'm also suddenly not feeling very sick anymore. It sucks!

WantingBaby1 · 17/11/2016 14:47

Oh Alexia :( I'm so sorry. Are you sure?

AlexiaB · 17/11/2016 14:36

Almost 100% sure I'm having a chemical girls SadSadSad f*%#k my life.

Let me catch up and get my arse back on this bloody bus where I obviously belong. Good news is you're stuck with me Grin

sk1pper · 17/11/2016 14:19

Skip - don't feel so ashamed of yourself, we've all been there. You just want it so badly, it's not called the 2ww for nothing.

I'm 4dpo so I'll keep you company. No POAS for me unless I get some really weird shit happening to me but generally I'll get headaches, brown spotting, increased hunger and sore boobs 5 days before AF. If there's anything abnormal I might test...

MrsG280516 · 17/11/2016 14:02

Yes that definitely has tailed off Mouse did you do one last night? I reckon that would have been a blazing positive. At least you DTD and should ovulate soon, you're in with a great chance this month.

WantingBaby1 · 17/11/2016 14:00

Hi Mouse looks like you've had your surge - presume you were testing in the afternoon, not peeing / drinking excessively for a few hrs before? Remember the surge means ovulation will follow 24 - 48 hrs later so you're bang on time to DTD in Rome. Enjoy!

MouseLove · 17/11/2016 13:21

I'm in Rome!!!
But before I go off. I think I missed my surge with the OPK? What do you think. I know, my pics are RUBBISH LOL

Musicgrrl · 17/11/2016 13:01

Yay to a quickie Mrs!

FX please don't be disappointed in yourself. We've definitely all been there...

I can't decide what to do about vitamins this cycle. I want to give a B complex a go as I have read that it can help to extend LP and mine is currently only 8 days. But I've also heard that it can delay O and I already O late. So I thought I could start taking it once I have O'd this cycle so it doesn't mess that up. But then next cycle I'll just have to hope it doesn't screw things up and it takes a while to work anyway. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

MrsG280516 · 17/11/2016 12:43

Well DH has agreed to a quickie tonight before he goes off on night shift so SMEP is a go. Cycle day 10 today and with any luck I should get a positive OPK on Saturday!

WantingBaby1 · 17/11/2016 12:00

fx don't beat yourself up, we've all done this. When my friend told me she was pregnant I actually considered doing a test just to see. I was CD 14 so hadn't even ovulated yet lol. I took a long hard grip of myself and got back into reality as yes, my 3 day period meant I couldn't be harbouring a tiny baby! But you only have a few days until you can test properly, so relax as best you can. Your work is done, it's your body's turn now.

HepKestrel · 17/11/2016 11:52

Flowers fxskip

look after yourself. I deliberately try to only ever have one emergency frer in the house for this reason.

AF is about done this month.... roll on FW !!!!
though of course i am now coming down with some bug (swollen glands, aching joints, sniffles.....) hopefully my newly acquired cycles won't be buggered up too much

MrsG280516 · 17/11/2016 11:20

Skip its so hard not to test early, I know how you feel. I've bought some cheapies this month so I can test till my heart is content rather than having to wait to use a "proper" test. I do have a FRER left and an Asda one so if I get a sniff of a line I can use those.

FXSkip · 17/11/2016 11:13

Jam CD 7 you think? I'd be getting started on the OPKs if I were you - its far less disappointing than a HCG test when its blank and if you had a light period there is always a chance you could OV early....

Musicgrrl love when a delayed OV works out in your favour - get the sexy tunes on, or whatever gets him going!

So, I could have done with being talked down from the ledge this morning, but I shamefully did all this in private. I POAS. A real one, and then I sat and stared at it while NOTHING HAPPENED. And then I broke it open and stared some more and then cried. I'm 7 sodding DPO, I don't know what I was thinking. Other than that I thought for some reason I would be a scientific anomaly and get a whopping great BFP BEFORE any potential implantation had happened. WTF I am so disappointed in myself. I hereby return all of my previously awarded starky stars and kwick cake. I'm away to the back of the bus, don't mind me.

Loving so much about this chat right now. Need to do a catch up.

I love hearing about people who have got their BFPs after months of trying. You did well not to cry skipper!

Thanks for all the stamina and preseed tips! I think it is pretty hard on our OHs having to perform on demand. I am going to be aiming for every other day over FW. Alexia your biological sperm info is amazing. Please never leave us!!

I am going to be more liberal with the preseed next time and use the applicator. Will hope it doesn't scare DH too much. He likes what it says on the packaging - 'for seriously fun baby making'!

This month I am glad I O late. Been travelling with work and out for many social events this week so wouldn't be able to LSFX. Can't wait for Friday night when I'll be coming home to bed (probably not like that!) Mouse I wish the sight of me naked was enough for DH to jump me! Hope you have a great hol.

Musicgrrl · 17/11/2016 10:39

Ohh jam that's such a toughie! I can understand why you don't want to POAS but I'd be doing it if it were me just to know one way or another. Or just doing an OPK even! Ha. I have my FX doubly for you that you are!

MrsG280516 · 17/11/2016 10:04

miwelaisjacydo LOL. Erm nope Grin

Londonjam · 17/11/2016 09:50

I have a confession Blush I feel really weird this week - light headed, like I'm coming down with something, emotional, funny tummy . Not usually like this after AF. Had a light 2 day bleed which is also unusual. Now I'm having a proper psychological pregnancy in my head HmmBlushConfused

But I really don't want to test as I hate hate hate BFN so much Sad

It's very unlikely I'm pregnant. I did bleed for two days and my boobs are fine, I'm not nauseous. I just need to GET A GRIP.

It's day 7 so in a few days will start OPK s again. Seeing the next LH surge should snap me out of it!

sk1pper · 17/11/2016 09:21

How are you hep?

HepKestrel · 17/11/2016 08:52

LSFX kwick !!

EJ2009 · 17/11/2016 07:34
