Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Mrsg I used to need antibiotics to clean up cystitis Confused those sachets wouldn't sort it. Keep an eye on it and keep guzzling water.

Londonjam · 20/11/2016 11:22

Walking you say kwick? I love a good walk! Will bear this in mind

Fxskip we are at the in laws for the weekend, up in Yorkshire which is lovely. We're seeing DH s old best mate from school - it's his little boys 1st birthday (muchos babies to get through - actually feeling fine about it now and hoping I get a cuddle). Then we have Sunday tea with mil and fil, aunts uncles cousins. Will be lovely Sunday really. What are you up to? **

MrsG280516 · 20/11/2016 09:52

Sk1pper I've had some Asdas own brand cystitis relief sachets the past two days (sent hubby out for them and he said they were the same ingredients as more expensive branded stuff) but it doesn't seem to have helped. I've had it about two or three times in the past few years and it just tends to go away after a week but it hasn't this time.

sk1pper · 20/11/2016 09:42

mrsg - what have you been taking for cystitis? Do you have some cystopurin? It's really really good and you can get it in boots or pharmacies, some larger supermarkets. Otherwise you need to drink an absolute ton of water to flush your system out and introducing some friendly bacteria will help fight it, yakult or something.

FXSkip · 20/11/2016 08:16

mouse hang in there! You can get multiple surges remember, so you might by trying to ov now, but it might not happen for another few days iyswim?

Gah it's so easy to dole out the advice! My advice to myself would be: 'chill out, skip, you're only CD 28, you've had perfectly normal 38 days cycles before, stop peeing on sticks and get on with your life,' what am I doing? Peeing on all the sticks and feeling desolate, bitter and barren Angry

Who's doing nice things today?

Morning ladies. Can any tempers have a look at my chart please? FF thinks I ovulated on Thursday since I had a temp increase but I still had a very strong OPK on Friday and got some ovulation pain on Friday evening.

Plus my temps have been all over the place this month so the increase on Thursday could have just been "normal"? I had hot flushes yesterday which were similar to last months 1dpo, I was boiling all day!

Sorry if this is TMI but I've had cystitis for about two weeks, I've been hoping it would just clear up as it has before but thinking I'm going to have to go to the docs tomorrow. Could that be messing with my temperature? I don't really feel unwell or anything...

kwick · 20/11/2016 05:31

mouse on of my FC doctors said walking is very good for follicle growth - dont think it would delay ovulation.

music I am off to Denia near Alicante. My mum knows - she has been lifting all the cases, bless her! Without sounding like some very well to do person: we are visiting my flat - I used to live there and bought at the height of the market, just before the crisis hit - so rather than being able to sell I had to hang on for dear life. This week we are making some furniture changes so hopefully I can get a higher rental next summer Confused

Londonjam · 20/11/2016 00:42

Keep at it mouse
Fx for higher temp tomorrow EJ

Londonjam · 20/11/2016 00:40

Starmist ME TOO omg I'm so glad it's not just me! I'm having dizzy spells got headaches I can't stop yawning I'm emotional and this stupid idiot voice in my head is like ooooooh what's this???- and yet I had my period and a BFN EnvyHmm actual insanity is setting in Envy

Here is to our pelvic scans showing up waving secret babies we never knew were there Wine

Musicgrrl · 19/11/2016 22:21

Where are you off to kwik? Hope you have a nice time? Does your mum know that this is your tww?

MouseLove · 19/11/2016 21:54

Nope kwick. CD10 OPK was as white as snow. I just take my prenatal vitamins. I've been doing a lot of walking the past 3 days so maybe my body is just taking its sweet time. This is cycle 2 off cerelle pill and cycle 1 was 50 days!! Shock So I'm just hoping I'm at least ovulating. Today is CD15. I got my first positive on CD12.

kwick · 19/11/2016 21:34

Of course you have not insulted me sk1pper!!! I have a cunning plan that I will lose weight whilst pregnant Wink

ej I am so sorry you are feeling down Flowers

Have a bit of a right side pain... think I may have overdone the pineapple!

starmist I see the cray-cray has got you good! Nevertheless I hope that your dream comes true.

mouse are you taking any meds? Mine is like that but it is because I still have the HCG trigger in my body.

Have to go to bed in a minute - my mum and I are getting up at 3am - very early flight tomorrow.

Musicgrrl · 19/11/2016 21:09

Mouse so jealous of your dark OPKs! I never get anything very dark but fortunately temping shows that I do ovulate. Otherwise I think I'd go crazy!

MouseLove · 19/11/2016 20:42

Possibly right, when I'm home tomorrow wahhhhhh I'll take a nice pic of them all lined up in a row lol

MrsG280516 · 19/11/2016 20:38

Star I would probably start around CD10-11, for 28 day cycles I think it's recommended to start at CD8. Totally up to you really.

Mouse that looks a bit lighter than yesterday's so maybe your surge has happened and it's just going down now!

MouseLove · 19/11/2016 20:30

Got this again today. Shock The never ending dark OPK lol.

Starmist · 19/11/2016 20:20

Ladies what CD do you start opking? I thought my cycles were 31 days long but my last 2 have been 33 days long. According to the instructions for a 33 day cycle you should start on CD 16 but that seems so late... should I start earlier anyway seeing as I'm new to this?

Here's some craziness for you... I have my pelvic scan on Tuesday. I've had some random dizzy spells over the past week or so & I've been imagining I'm one of the small number of women who are actually upduffed but get regular AFs. At my scan I'm picturing them telling me I'm preggers. Ridiculous!

EJ2009 · 19/11/2016 19:34

Musicgrrl. - im normally a 14 day luteal phase kind of woman. Ive had a few cycles with haywire temps and this one looked better until today so im hoping i wake up tomorrow and its up again. I have a little moment when i darent look at the thermometer Grin

Miranda234 · 19/11/2016 18:13

Sorry my posts seem to make no sense with the conversation, I seem to take so long to write one that new posts get written in the meantime Blush

Miranda234 · 19/11/2016 18:06

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone 😊

Tenner ah it's nice to have someone at the same stage, FX for you 😊 which cycle day are you on?

kwick thanks for the info on pineapple, I didn't know about that!

Wow you ladies all seem pro at this with your charts etc, I haven't done anything like that yet. I have bought some cheap OKP's which I'll try after this cycle.

I have had weird pains this week, I went for a run on Tuesday night and about 1km in had to stop due to intense pain, felt like really bad AF pains which I thought it was, it went away when I walked for a minute but it was intense enough I thought I was going to be sick. Then today, I laughed really hard (actually at the post about nipples 😂) and felt a really strong pull on my left side. I know I'm probably over thinking it and AF will probably show up soon but I find it so hard not to assess everything my body feels! Never thought it would be this emotionally exhausting trying for a baby!

Hope you've all had lovely Saturday's

Musicgrrl · 19/11/2016 18:03

EJ 10dpo is not too late for an implantation dip. But it's annoying that all you can do is wait for tomorrow's temp Confused Can you do something nice this evening to take your mind off it? How long is your LP usually?

EJ2009 · 19/11/2016 17:59

I had a really depressed morning this morning. Im 10 dpo and my temperature plummeted below my cover line. I then had to meet my heavily pregnant friend and her toddler don for lunch. I came home and cried for so long that dh asked me to stop.

To cheer this post up though, i just had the most far fetched symptom spotting - i went downstairs and smelt dh's stinky doritto crisps and felt sick at the smell. My first thought was ooohh sensitive to smells..... and my second thought was, no one finds the smell of cheesy processed food appealing so im back to count down to af again.

Musicgrrl · 19/11/2016 17:41

Hi everyone - just place marking as it feels a while since I chipped in. There's lots of LSFX action on the thread so I'm excited for the next two weeks. Hopeful for at least a couple of BFPs!

Alexia thinking of you and hoping you're okay

sk1pper · 19/11/2016 17:06

Kwick - sorry I hope I haven't insulted you. I described this woman as overweight because she was really really huge, unhealthily so. I honestly don't even know how she managed to have sex to be honest let alone conceive. Anyway, I shouldn't think about it - I don't know her life or situation. I know there are many medical and mental reasons for being that overweight too.

MrsG280516 · 19/11/2016 12:39

Jam well it took me by surprise but I think we managed to cover it, we did day 5,8,10,11 so FX!
