Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

I feel exactly the same way about mn, I look forward to checking in here to see how you are all doing. I feel like you're the only ones who understand how I feel!

Vent all you need to hon, you've got an awful lot on your plate right now Flowers

FXSkip · 20/11/2016 20:47

Thank you jam your post means a lot to me, even though I don't even know you! Mn is so strange Confused I am so grateful to know that are understanding people to support each other for no other reason than a shared desire to procreate! I don't feel like a lovely person anyway, I just feel guilty about wanting to have a baby when DH is holding it together for his whole family. I just want to make him smile with a effing bfp that isn't going to turn into 3 months of hell!

Thanks guys, really needed to rant tonight Envy

Hugs gee sorry you're feeling low Flowers

Skipper nipple changes are really promising. Have done a LOT of symptom spotting in my time and I've never had any nipple changes. Keeping lsfx for you

Music can you exaggerate how long you've been trying?

Oh fxskip felt so sad reading your post. So sorry you're going through this with your mil. It's amazing to me you and your DH are going to care for her like this - what an incredible thing to do for her, I so hope you get back on the grads list soon where you belong FlowersFlowers

Baby cuddles with a one year old today - he was lovely to be honest. Just felt quite happy looking forward to having our own. DH also quite broody which was lovely to see. If that had been in my TWW I would have been bawling as soon as we left the house! Cd 10 and I'm quite calm. Impatient Envy but calm Halo

FXSkip · 20/11/2016 20:16

Sk1pper boobs sound good ha ha! But you know what they say - don't trust the boobs! Fx it's a symptom for you, I hope it's your month! Ff saying test on 29th, Ovia saying Wednesday, but my cycles pre-pg were down to 28days, which is today. So I guess if no af I'll test at end of month. Yea right, we all know I'm testing in the morning Confused when were you due?

FX for the FW-ers, sounds you are all getting them spermies at the right time so here's to some bfps in a few weeks!

Mouse - welcome home and you've timed your sex perfectly I'd say, now you've just got to sit back and wait. Really impressed with all you ladies scrapbooking your OPKs. It's a great idea!

MrsG - same for you, some wonderfully timed BD! Fx this is the one.

Gee - sorry you're feeling so down, it's always tough being around kids in the end of the luteal phase. Its really good you may get your referral soon though, I mirror what others have said - you want to think of it as a positive thing. There is nothing more you could be doing so don't beat yourself up about it.

Music - what pattern do your OPKs normally follow? Any reason you could have ovulated late? Sickness, travel, change in altitude etc?

Kwick - when you posted "testing" I was about to come over and smack you around the chops. But it's not a pg test it's an internet test. I dunno kwick, my boobs feel really strange this cycle. There is a fullness to them, it's quite pleasant. I've just been sat in the bath admiring them, my boobs are normally quite shit.

Skip - so many symptoms, when is AF due?

FXSkip · 20/11/2016 19:17

gee and jam sounds like lovely weekends, except for all the babies! I've been organising in my new place, we bought a new house a few month ago so just been slowly moving in, it's painful thinking that we bought this place when I was pregnant and was planning a nursery in the spare room, now it looks like MIL might move in until she passes away instead. Not really what I had in mind but can't possibly say anything to anyone IRL.

I'm cd28, 9 dpo, no sign of AF and snowy white bfns. I know it still early but I am having a full blown schroedinger pregnancy. I was so nauseous on Friday night I couldn't sleep, I'm emotional and spotty and crampy and I don't know what's what anymore. Waiiiillll!!!!

Just checking I can post from where I am.

Very tired - has been a long day!

mrs sorry about cystitis - get yourself to a Dr!

fxskip YOU ARE NOT BARREN!!! Please do not diss on yourself like that!
You are lovely amazing woman - ripe and juicy!

sk1pper DON'T TRUST THE BOOBS!!! Otherwise I am right there with ya - although in my case it is probably just the progesterone that is making feel odd

mouse for good measure maybe another DTD sesh is in order?
LSFX!!!

Sorry you are feeling low geeup Flowers

That's the spirit music!!!

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 19:11

Oooooooooooo kwick. Argh!!!! FX

kwick · 20/11/2016 19:02

Testing

MrsG280516 · 20/11/2016 18:52

Yeah DH and I were saying there's not really much else we could have done this month. Assuming his swimmers are healthy and there's no other problems of course. The only issue this month is how early I've ovulated. I've read that with early ovulation the lining of the womb might not be as thick as it could be for implantation.

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 18:22

Music don't worry. You might have missed your surge in the night or a few hours after you tested? What time did you do them?

MrsG FX for you, sounds you had some awesome timed DTD!! Today is CD16 for me and I think I'll say 1DPO so into the two week wait for me. Yay!

Musicgrrl · 20/11/2016 17:26

Can I also vent that I was hoping for at least a gradual darkening of my OPKs given that I'm CD16 but they are close to nonexistent at the moment! Grrrr

Musicgrrl · 20/11/2016 17:00

So sorry you're feeling down gee. I can totally understand why, being in tww and going to a christening! Great that you have an appointment lined up - that's positive. Is this to review Clomid progress? Is AF due by then? Hope that the doctor is supportive and helpful.

I was felling a little bit down earlier today too. What with my short luteal phase I feel like I will definitely need medical intervention to conceive so this waiting a year to see a GP malarkey is a bit of a pain! But I cheered myself up by reminding myself that fertility problems are very treatable and I firmly believe we will all get there in the end Smile

Starmist · 20/11/2016 16:57

Gee sorry you're feeling sad FlowersFlowers at least you're on with seeing the consultant, I'm sure things will happen for you soon, hang in there xx

Alexia are you ok? I keep thinking of you xx

Nicky883 · 20/11/2016 16:51

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you skipper!

geeup · 20/11/2016 16:45

Hey everyone. Thanks for thinking of me music. No news really as I'm in the tww - 9dpo. Had normal sore boobs past couple of days and normal PMT grumpiness and temp dropped a little today so not feeling positive. Had a christening today and was holding a 5 week old - 2nd newborn cuddle in two days - so feeling pretty low and jealous to be honest. Got my next appointment with the fertility consultant on Wednesday so at least we should get our IVF referral soon. So sad today.

MrsG280516 · 20/11/2016 15:50

If you ovulated yesterday Mouse then DYD on Thursday is perfect, O-2 has really good chances of conception, just as much as O-1!

We DTD on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, I'm hoping that I ovulated Friday evening rather than Thursday but even if I did ov super early then we still have a good chance!

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 15:06

Here's the OPK.

Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP
MouseLove · 20/11/2016 14:57

Home from Rome this morning. Just did an OPK. It's white again. FX that I actually ovulated. Might have missed it though as we only DTD on Thursday. So if I ovulated last night I might have had geriatric swimmers lol. Gonna stick my OPKS all together later and decorate with washi see what the pattern looks like. I think I have a random light one amongst my dark.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Loving all your symptom spotting too, FX it's a good sign.

sk1pper · 20/11/2016 14:52

music - that does help thank you, I've relaxed a bit now :)

Musicgrrl · 20/11/2016 14:33

skipper I have had that raised bumps on boobs thing before. I think it is caused by progesterone so could just be a normal cycle but could also be a BFP cycle. Not trying to dash your hopes! Just trying to manage expectations Smile

Haven't heard from gee for a while. How is Clomid cycle no. 2 coming along?

sk1pper · 20/11/2016 14:12

7dpo, I think my body is just playing tricks on me :(

Oggy88 · 20/11/2016 13:52

Hmmm, what dpo are you, Sk1pper? Boobs and nipples sound like a good sign ;)

sk1pper · 20/11/2016 13:32

Ugh someone please slap me. I am going completely overboard on the symptom spotting - its really unlike me.

My boobs hurt (normally get in the week pre-period) but much more than normal and feel fuller.
My nipples are so big and have all these weird bumps on them, even OH was asking me what they are. Who knows...
I've been getting sharp pains/cramping in my left side for a few days, almost like ovulation pain but really intermittent and random.
And normally by now I've started my five days of brown-spotting but there is nothing - not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign.

Apart from the nipples, non of these symptoms seem right for pg...

sk1pper · 20/11/2016 11:30

MrsG - sounds like a bad case of it so you may need antibiotics. Try not to drink anything that will inflame it further like alcohol or coffee. Sorry, it absolutely sucks doesn't it?
