Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

No feedback yet, Jam, no. My appointment got pushed back a week from its initial date to 5th Jan so I'm going to have to wait it out a bit longer.

Feeling pretty positive but might get a sneaky blood test in next week just to double check ovulation did happen.

Got a nice family weekend planned in the meantime which is going to be a lovely way to take my mind off it all. Hope you're enjoying the festive run up Xmas Smile

Musicgrrl · 08/12/2016 22:49

Hey alexia all good here thanks for asking. 14dpo today. Seems like it should be later already! Still no symptoms other than being a bit more tired and spotty. And being more out of breath walking up stairs. Although that's possible an indication of my fitness levels... Going to poas again tomorrow to check progression but stop temping. FF told me off for doing it today! How is your tww going?

To jump in on the boob discussion - mine are never sore. Not with AF and not with BFP now either. It's like they have no nerve endings at all!

On the comfort food discussion that is me most days. I seem to find an excuse for cake and chocolate whenever I can. It's not good... ChocolateCake

EJ sorry to hear about the accident. Hope all is okay.

jam hang on in there and PMA!

FX for all twwers! StarStarStar

Londonjam · 08/12/2016 21:50

Hello penguin good to see you lovely did you get any feedback from the scan? I hope all was well. Great news on the OPK and DTD sounds like you are doing well. Fx for you ! Xmas Smile

Londonjam · 08/12/2016 21:47

Kathrino our flat has wonky pots and bowls on a few shelves now - I love it. Also made some Christmas tree tiles which are proudly on display Xmas Smile

Alexia I'm 12 DPO today AF due saturday xx

InspectorPenguin · 08/12/2016 21:46

Hey folks, just checking in.

Only two days to go, Jam, you can do it! Not long to go until your GP appt now which must be a relief. I don't get to talk through all my results until early Jan and I'm getting impatient!
Would be lovely to see some pictures of your finest ceramic creations if you'd like to share?

Fitness: I definitely need to improve this as well. I stopped going to the gym and running when I had a bad chesty cough a few weeks ago and I haven't gone back. I keep thinking there's not much point when all the Christmas festivities are just around the corner Blush

Boobage: I don't ever get any sore boobs either and wonder what it would feel like. If I do ever get that in the TWW it's bound to get me overly excited...

EJ sorry to hear you've had a bad few days. I hope things have picked up since Weds and you're feeling happier now.

Sk1pper hope you are feeling free and liberated with your relaxed cycle. Same to you, Binky, hope the relaxed approach wins the day for you.

Fingers crossed those temps stay raised for you FX. I have a lot of admiration for you lot who take temps daily. I tried it a couple of times this month and failed miserably - the stress of knowing I had to temp stopped me falling asleep! Hmm

Kwik once again I am in total awe of your crazy schedule and your incredible strength and determination. Honestly, you're an inspiration and possibly descended from the Duracell Bunny.

So I had my HSG and pelvic scan last week on CD11. I got a positive OPK in the evening of CD17 and they are still very positive tonight on CD19. Hoping that 48 hours+ of positives is okay and not some sign that my polycystic ovaries are playing silly buggers.

We've REALLY been trying extra hard for a successful month this month; lots of DTD since the first positive OPK. DP has been an absolute trooper!

Can't do much else now as I'm not going to see DP until Saturday and then we're at my parents', but certainly can't say we didn't give it a good go.

Friday tomorrow - woohoo!

Londonjam · 08/12/2016 21:45

The wonky bowls are amazing. Seriously anyone interested just Sign Up to a course it's the best thing I've done. It's three hours a week and it's utterly absorbing all I think and feel is clay for that time Halo

Nicky love stay strong you'll get there and that's all that matters FlowersFlowers

sk1pper · 08/12/2016 21:42

Thanks, I'll get myself some of that this weekend. Mmmm!!

Kathrino · 08/12/2016 21:33

sk1pper, I found the gin in M&S at the weekend. It's so good - I think a splash in a glass of prosecco come Christmas will be delicious. And this is probably why I need to get healthy in 2017...

sk1pper · 08/12/2016 21:21

Nicky - sorry hon Flowers don't give up though! It's tough but when life gives you lemons, you gotta make lemonade. Turn this whole thing on it's head, you're on the right path to fixing this. It won't be much longer till you have your BFP.

Kath - rhubarb gin and tonic sounds AMAZING. Where on earth did you buy rhubarb gin? Sorry not at all helping here I know

Alexia - coffee and cake is my go to treat when AF arrives. Sometimes I think you just need to let go and binge otherwise your body feels like it's being tortured. Is there some exercise you can do to combat the weight gain. I am absolutely loving Yoga so would strongly encourage you to try if you haven't already. Or just go for a romantic walk at the weekend with your OH? And totally DTD in the woods or something Grin

Mouse - hope you're feeling a bit better now and managed to slip into your pjs!

Hi binky!

HepKestrel · 08/12/2016 21:06

Flowers Nicky

Kathrino · 08/12/2016 20:00

Oh Nicky, I'm so sorry. I don't think it's what any of us expects when starting TTC. Sending lots of good thoughts your way Flowers

Nicky883 · 08/12/2016 19:41

London i am 8dpo . I dont think i ll be testing really dont have the heart for it
Just got an information pack from
The fertility clinic and it made
Me Feel so low . Cant believe it has come
To this Sad

Kathrino · 08/12/2016 19:06

Mouse, I've always read that missionary is best but I guess anything where you're not fighting gravity is helpful!

London, love the idea of a ceramics course. It must be so much fun to be able to use bowls that you've made yourself.

Welcome back bunny :)

I've been so unhealthy recently (as I sit here sipping a rhubarb gin and tonic...). I've decided that 2017 is definitely the year when I get myself together which can only be a good thing from a TTC perspec. Before then, I'm going to enjoy Christmas obviously ;)

AlexiaB · 08/12/2016 19:06

Sounds good Skip fx for another high temp tomorrow too! With you on the effort thing. I've annoyingly gained some weight since ttc because of the sadness (verging on depression), loss and awful roller coaster ride it's been. Not a drinker, smoker, coffee/tea drinker but I do comfort eat sometimes which is awful Who doesn't love toast and chocolate when they're feeling shit?

Welcome back Binky Flowers nice you have you back with us.

Ceramics course sounds blissful Jam. How many dpo now?

Sorry your body is being a twat Mouse. Missionary and doggy style are apparently best for reaching the cervix.

HepKestrel · 08/12/2016 18:57

mouse positions which give deeper penetration ..... Failing that, stick to the fun ones Wink

harrietm87 · 08/12/2016 18:19

Aw londonjam what a lovely idea - I want to make wonky bowls!

I don't normally get sore nipples for AF but before my MC that's how I realised I was pregnant - they were so tender I thought something was wrong with my bra!

Londonjam · 08/12/2016 18:13

Skip such a good point, God imagine. The only upside for me is that failing to conceive prompted me to finally sign up for the ceramics course I'd thought about for so long. I've really been loving it. No baby but plenty of wonky bowls 👍🏼

Welcome back binky

Mouse I have not tested either Hmm I am worlds biggest poas phobe. No corner for me!

MouseLove · 08/12/2016 18:09

I've had tummy ache alllllll day today. MEH!! Back is playing up again too. It's like my body just wants to piss me off constantly. I know it won't be another few hours until I'm home and can put my pjs on. Blar.

Re the boobs. They've never been sensitive. I mean, I might jump if you twiddle the nips but never have been one for sore boobs. Maybe that's what the problem is? GrinBlush

My DH asked what the best position was last night. Totally out of the blue. And after we had DTD. I said probably missionary? But none are probably better than the other??

HepKestrel · 08/12/2016 17:47

Welcome back Binky! Hope you have lots of festive gun this Christmas WinkGrinWink

We all need a break from time to time

Binkybunny13 · 08/12/2016 17:40

Sorry I've been hiding ladies- been feeling pretty shit with it all and just needed to have some time off MN to get my head together. Anyway, after a few days of crying at the drop of a hat and stewing in my own misery, I'm back, and just read the epic number of posts I've missed!

Moose I'm so pleased your results came back with such low risk. Hope you have a relaxed pregnancy from here

Music great news- congratulations!

Am joining the more relaxed approach this month- have told DH that we are DTD every other day the whole month (I'm not OPKing or going to push for everyday DTD in FW) and he so far (well last night!) has been agreeable to this. With the last couple of my cycles being unusually long I'm not going to try to predict what's going on and just have Christmas and new year, try to sort my new job and then hopefully before I know it I'll be pregnant right?

Good luck to those 2WWing! Let's have some more BFPs!

sk1pper · 08/12/2016 17:03

Skip - you're right, I feel the same about a few things. Like I've done nothing with the house since moving in 3 years ago...that's why I'm forcing myself to get my bathroom fixed before Xmas. I need the distraction and I'll just keep putting it off otherwise.

I'm off to Yoga now, but I'm yawning before I've even begun. Last time I nearly fell asleep at the start, it was quite embarrassing.

FXSkip · 08/12/2016 15:30

Morning Alexia I'd say just keep all the windows open if you are using any sort of harsh cleaning fluid to avoid excessive fume inhalation. But I'd say that no matter where you were in your cycle!

This morning my temp was up - from 36.12 at the dip, to 36.20. So a minor raise, hopefully it continues tomorrow! It seems unlikely to me that it will be my month. I had a funny thought this morning, if I put as much effort as I do for TTC into, say, losing weight or being good at my job I think my life would be massively different. Sad

AlexiaB · 08/12/2016 15:10

Just a quick one as I'm currently deep cleaning the house. No idea if that's a good thing to be doing in the tww or not!? Lol

About boobs... When I had anovulatory cycles my nipples/boobs were never sore/tender. When I ovulate my nipples either get sore leading up to O and during the tww, or just in the tww. Word of warning to others if their boobs aren't sore, it could be nothing as everyone's different, but I'd get checked out to see if you're O'ing or at least temp or do opks for a couple of cycles to make sure you're getting a temp rise and LH surge.

Hep hope you get the house sorted in time!

miw that was hilarious Xmas Grin

Sorry to all those struggling at work, especially you Kwick Flowers

Mouse I haven't tested yet far too early I just had a random urge to! Apps are only good at predicting things if you're regular, opks and more BD is a good plan Wink As for finishing after DH, I only do that in the FW. Only did it once this time though. Will aim to do it lots more next month if not successful this month.

EJ hope you're feeling okay, sorry about the accident FlowersFlowers

Skip hope the chesty cough clears up quick. Did you get a temp rise today?

Music how are you doing hun?

Good luck to all those testing soon Star

sk1pper · 08/12/2016 12:01

EJ - I'm exactly the same!! Got the worlds smallest boobs but in the final week of my cycle, my OH can brush my boob with his elbow by accident and I'm like crippled over in pain. He always thinks I'm taking the piss Angry

EJ2009 · 08/12/2016 10:24

mouse - my boobs are always unbearable in tww. Like hurt to walk downstairs and nipples sensitive so im aware if i brush them when dressing. Ive barely got any boobs either so its not like they get in the way or bounce about. Funny though this month i ovulated yesterday and today only mildly sore. Usually neon flashing we are here by cd 15.
