Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Sk1pper I'd be poas like a mad woman by that point!! Kudos to you for holding off.

Musicgrrl · 21/11/2016 11:37

I'm getting so excited reading this thread right now. I feel like there will be abundant BFPs in the next couple of weeks!

skipper those sound like great signs - I have no idea how you are able to hold off poas for that long!

skip can you get a refund??

sk1pper · 21/11/2016 11:24

Skip - I feel like clinging to you right now, I'm so glad I'm not the only one freaking out at the end of the 2ww. Why have you not got a control line though? Is it a dud test do you think? Will you use the second?

sk1pper · 21/11/2016 11:18

Period not due till Friday, I will only test if AF is late.

FXSkip · 21/11/2016 11:17

Sk1pper - FX for you otherwise I'd be going mad too! I felt really sick and dizzy this morning, so decided to nip to Tesco's (nearest shop) and get a couple of cheapy own brand tests. Sitting at work, crapping myself, waiting for the results and...........nothing. Not even a control line. I'm fuming, and then also remembered I ate a chocolate brownie for breakfast so probably felt sick because of that Blush and wondering where in the hell I left my sanity.

MrsG chart looks promising, and DTD was well timed - defo have my fx for you!

London thats not terrible timing - better pre-ov than post for sure!

Alexia I've been thinking of you a lot over the weekend. Take care of yourself, and keep your chin up. You're a tough one, I am in awe of your resilience.

Love to all you ladies!

And now I can smell peroxide but no one else can. Confused this is so fucking weird.

Oggy88 · 21/11/2016 11:14

That sounds like a really good sign, Skipper. When are you testing?

sk1pper · 21/11/2016 11:09

Sorry girls, I do need to catch up on the thread - apologies, will look through tonight.

I just wanted to say I'm getting another really bizarre symptom where my food tastes weird. Last night I was eating a plain hobnob and it tasted like orange peel/mixed spice and when I ate my cereal this morning it tasted like bacon. If I'm not pregnant then I think I've decided that I'm going mad.

MrsG280516 · 21/11/2016 10:49

Oh it was a dashed line because I didn't enter any CM... I think it was watery so now its a solid line. Yay! My pre-ov temps seem much higher this month on average compared to last month, wonder why that is. 12 days till testing date... I've got ICs this month though so might be bad and test from around 9/10dpo, oh the temptation!!

MouseLove · 21/11/2016 10:36

MrsG I'd say that was pretty clear!! Looks like you defo ovulated on CD11. I think you covered yourself nicely with DTD too. Yay!!

My chart is a mess. Sad
Since I'm having errors uploading...

Welcome back mewi sending hugs.

Gee you're right it's a horrible feeling. Sending hugs to you too.

Well. I temped again today. No real increase just a small one to 36c. Don't think my other issues are really helping me get an accurate temp. Sooooo I think next cycle I'll probably just OPK and keep my fingers crossed.

I'm at the rheumatologist later today so hopefully I might get some answers about my joint problems. The thyroid issue has been pushed back to my doctor so still no appointment at the hospital. Hmm

Londonjam · 21/11/2016 08:21

Hugs alexia Flowers so cruel to be so close and have it taken away. I hope you are okay and your next egg takes and sticks.

I had a near positive OPK yesterday on day 10 this is unheard of for me. In the year we've been trying the earliest I've had a positive OPK is day 14. This is really weird. We only DTD yesterday also, once. DH is now away until Wednesday if I ovulate tomorrow I don't think it will stand much chance

geeup · 21/11/2016 07:35

Thanks for the support everyone. I know I'm not the only one who feels like this. We just need to keep on keeping on...

miwelaisjacydo · 21/11/2016 07:19

Not been on for a while have been reading .... AF here 5 full days early. Am sick and tired of not being pregnant I feel like I'm loosing who I am.

HepKestrel · 21/11/2016 06:45

So sorry Alexia Flowers

Fx skip I know a little how you feel about the house. I think of little of why I was down earlier is that when i started planning the knew kitchen I thought I would be pregnant now..

Any way. PMA..... First flashing smiley face on my clear blue opk, so I still appear to be functioning again! Expect ovulation Thursday-saturday.

Unfortunately grumpyoldcat needs to go to vet today as large bare skin area on tail. Hopefully it's just because he has fouñd the building work as stressful as me..

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 22:33

Oh alexia. So sorry. I really had my FX for you. SadFlowers

AlexiaB · 20/11/2016 22:03

Awh thanks Mrs, really appreciate it! Well done on nailing the FW, everything crossed for youGrin

MrsG280516 · 20/11/2016 21:59

Oh Alexia I'm so so sorry FlowersFlowers sounds like you're feeling positive though ready for the next cycle, that's amazing. You're an inspiration Star

AlexiaB · 20/11/2016 21:51

Thanks for thinking of me Star, Music and everyone else. I'm sorry I've been MIA but I've been struggling and just needed to blank it all out for a bit. It's hard to come to terms with losing another pregnancy - being teased and then having it all snatched away again! I'll be okay soon. I'm just down and frustrated, like I know so many of you are too. I'm on cd2/3 and started Femara today so let's see how this cycle goes.

Good luck to all of you in the tww, I'll be watching closely. Looking forward to seeing some bfps! Flowers to FXSkip and everyone who needs it Flowers

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 21:32

I'll be temping again tomorrow. I didn't take it away with me. I'm not confident for a high temp if I'm honest with my seismic chart lol

MrsG280516 · 20/11/2016 21:17

I think they always fade quite a bit when dry Mouse mine look different the next day too. Have you been temping? You should see a good temp increase if you've ovulated.

Musicgrrl · 20/11/2016 21:10

Thanks guys. I usually O late - maybe CD19 - but normally my OPKs are on their way to dark by now. Hopefully I'm just a day or so later this cycle. I've kick started every other day LSFX and need DH to be able to keep up momentum to O!

kwik I got worried when you said testing too! It sounds like a lovely trip with your mum. Hope you find some nice bits for your place :)

Jam sadly the GP knows I had my implant out in April. Best case I could do is count April as one of my months trying when implant actually came out right at the end and hope they don't notice lol

FXskip FX for your poas this week. Hopefully your symptoms are a positive sign.

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 21:10

OH kwick you got me excited with your "testing" post. Bloody hell.

Skip I have my FX for you and Sk1pper - I have a good feeling!!!

Gee sending massive hugs. X

Jam awwww baby cuddles are so nice. I've not had any for years. Probably a good thing as I'd probably run off and steal it.

MouseLove · 20/11/2016 21:05

Ok. So here's a better pic of my OPKs all lined up nicely. I think CD12 at 9pm and CD13 I'd had too much to drink and didn't leave it long enough to test so they are lighter.

However. Weird thing. They all seem to have faded. When I did CD12 at 1pm it was soooo dark. And the same with CD14 but now they don't really look the same as the control line to me. What do you think?

DTD on CD6, 8, 11 & 13
