Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Missed your post about sperm mrsg if I were him I would speak to the GP and see what they say. If you are both still worried you can always pay for a private SA - ours was £100.

MrsG280516 · 24/11/2016 12:48

I totally love that picture Mouse hahaha!

sk1pper · 24/11/2016 11:21

There is an image for everything on Google !!

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 11:06

Hahaha. Nooooo. GrinGrinGrin
I searched ovary party on google

sk1pper · 24/11/2016 10:56

Mouse - did you draw that?

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 10:30

Skip well fliperly flip. Sorry about AF. What a little bitch!!!!

Sk1pper now that's what I'm imagining too.

Miranda tell her to F off lol

MrsG that is one sexy chart. I think this could be your month!!!

I don't think I'm gonna get my crosshairs as I didn't temp when I ov'ed. I'm almost tempted to put in a fake temp just so I get a line. Lol. Music here you go... oh and LSFX for you!!

Hugs and Flowers skip and skipper so sorry AF got you both. Here's hoping for a double skip BFP next cycle Flowers

Haha at your ovary party mouse Smile mine have been so grumbly too all week! No positive OPK still though - can't believe I got so flustered over that Hmm

Hep that sounds so stressful Confused yes hope you are managing to DTD amongst the pipes

Miranda I know exactly how you feel, do it in your own good time

Hurrah for your + OPK music I love getting them too Smile

Mrsg I'm no temper but that chart looks good to me fx

Kwick keep those toes warm remember your PMA mantra

BFP rain dance is on the cards.

MrsG280516 · 24/11/2016 10:07

Thanks sk1pper I'm just having a bit of a down day. Hubby came home from work last night and blurted out that he thinks there is something wrong with his sperm. I has always had a bit of a yellowy tinge and quite thick but now we are TTC he is worried there is something wrong and that we won't conceive because of that. I don't really know what to do about it Sad I don't want him to worry but after having a search of google it could be any number of things and could impact fertility. I sent him to the sexual health clinic last night to go hand in a pee sample to make sure it isn't an STI (although we have been together almost 5 years so would have had it a long time) then I'm just not sure where to go from there. Will a doctor send him for an SA if he thinks there is something wrong or would we still have to wait 12 months?

sk1pper · 24/11/2016 10:00

Mouse - I had the weirdest image of your ovaries getting a delivery of party food, and sitting there with party hats and blowers. Hmm

Hep - I hope that despite the turmoil of your environment you are still BDing like a mad woman.

Skip - I'm sorry xx do you think we are like long lost twins. The same name and AF hit at precisely the same time. I am suspiscious, going back to interrogate my mother.

Music - more than worthy of celebration! This is the kind of stuff I love to read about, progress is progress so congratulations xx

MrsG - so the optimist in me says that you have a really fucking nice chart. The pessimist says that it's just due to a hormonal increase that you're feeling sick and you're temps increased - but this too can be a good sign! Fx

MrsG280516 · 24/11/2016 09:45

Morning everyone

Sorry about AF Skip and Sk1pper FlowersFlowers

I'm sure your friend didn't mean anything harmful Mouse people just don't think before they speak sometimes.

Huge temp increase for me this morning although I suspect I may be coming down with something. I woke in the early hours feeling really sick and had to sit up and take some deep breaths before it went away Confused what do we think?

Musicgrrl · 24/11/2016 09:28

Oh no FXskip our messages crossed. So sorry that AF got you and in such an inconvenient and unapologetic way too! Glad that your DH is being sweet about it Flowers

Musicgrrl · 24/11/2016 09:26

Can I jump on here for a mini celebration - my first actually positive OPK. It's as dark as the test line on CD20 (late I know, will ignore that!). That has never happened to me. Not sure why it's a cause for celebration as it doubtless doesn't mean anything but it felt like an achievement anyway! Smile

FXSkip · 24/11/2016 09:26

oh Hep house stuff is such a shitey stress - its supposed to be so exciting and fun but its just messy and horrible (like TTC HA HA HA).

Well chaps, AF turned up just before I left for work with a big bang, like a punched-in-the-gut crampy, full-on flood kind of bang. ffs. Had a big cry and DH came over and said simply 'lets just boink more' which made me cry even more.

Sk1pper sorry it wasn't your month either. Onwards and upwards though - another opportunity to be healthy and get our shit together before babies

OP posts:
Miranda234 · 24/11/2016 09:21

I wimped out of testing yesterday, couldn't bring myself to do it and see it was negative, stupid I know - I'll force myself tonight. I'm shattered today, went to bed at 8pm last night but think I'm just tired as getting up early this week to look after my sisters chickens!!

mouse there's a lady I run with each week who every time asks me if I'm pregnant yet and that I should 'hurry up as I'm not getting any younger' I just don't reply anymore, don't know what she expects me to answer! She doesn't know we're trying, she's just started saying it as we got married a few months ago but I still think it's insensitive

Congratulations on the awards Jam!

Sorry for your AF sk1pper our bodies are cruel but good for you for your positivity

HepKestrel · 24/11/2016 08:35

hi binky

kitchen is finished, but some painting to finish in the dining room today/tomorrow.

unfortunately, the boiler and hob have decided not to work, so will be waiting in for engineers today .....

have had to rearrange meetings at work, which is not what i needed right now.

sob.... I want my house back !!! With functional heating and hotwater ! I can't even light the stove because of the painting ... and possible gas supply problem.

am due to ovulate this weekend. OH gets back tonight after finally moving out of his flat to move in here properly ! Honestly, I don't mind if it doesn't happen this month:
house stuff has been stressful, but i am now functional again.

Musicgrrl · 24/11/2016 08:31

mouse your chart sounds promising - can we have a peek?

jam that's amazing! Congratulations! And I would have done the same with the booze - that is not an opportunity to waste Smile

Sorry skipper but glad to hear new diet has helped Flowers

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 08:23

Ahhhh Sk1pper sorry about AF, you really are an inspiration for positivity. Shit situation and you take a lesson for it. Thank you for being uplifting.

Skip at the time I'm sure you meant well, I'm really wary and cautious about the wording I use now when talking about it. Especially after hearing so many stories here.

I've woken to a massive temp spike, more tummy ache and stabby vag pains - my ovaries are probably having a reawakening party including fireworks and mini pizzas. Roll on the weekend!!!!! Envy hope everyone has a quick Thursday. X

sk1pper · 24/11/2016 07:53

Mouse - she means well, remember people who haven't been through this have no idea how heart-wrenching it is and she has no idea of your situ anyway. Well done for staying composed though.

Jam - well done! I think you can be forgiven for having a little celebration, your eggs will be fine. Who knows, maybe this is the spark that makes one grow.

Kwick - PMA, I have a good feeling about you! Xx

Skip - Ugh no no no. I hope you're still in xx

I'm out by the way, AF arrived this morning... some cramping but it went within 5 mins. This is looking really positive, seems my gluten free, milk free diet has solved many issues for me.

geeup · 24/11/2016 07:33

Well done jam - great achievement! And big hugs to you mouse-your health is the most important thing. Your DP loves you and needs you healthy beyond anything else.
Whoever is logging, please can you put me down for cycle 20, due Dec 20th please.

miwelaisjacydo · 24/11/2016 07:01

Well done Jem 😀
Moose 💐

FXSkip · 24/11/2016 06:48

Congrats Jam that's great news - well done you StarStarStar

mouse best to look at it pragmatically - even the most well meaning friends can come across insensitive. I myself have said (in the past) hurry up to a couple that I knew were having IVF - I totally cringe now that I know just how hurtful it is.

Welcome back Binky and fingers crossed for you kwick remember how often we've had Bfps from people who were convinced they were out! Me on the other hand, I've had a temp drop last 2 days that I tried to ignore because I was cold (!) but pretty sure it means what it means. I just wish af would hurry up now.

Londonjam · 24/11/2016 00:47

Kwick stay positive find that PMA

Mouse ah people can be so insensitive Sad

Thinking of you penguin and others mia

I am on a major high tonight. I won three awards for the product I launched last year! I'm in marketing and moved jobs within the company for a launch. It's been a massive success and tonight all three of my entries won bloody industry wide awards! Can't believe it!!

Can't remember who asked, yes we got a shag in this morning. Can't imagine the champagne tonight will be doing my eggs any good but hey ho, maybe I'll be one of those "conceived whilst out on the piss" women Hmm

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 00:28

Just got back from a gig. Went with DH, DS and her partner and a friend I've known forever. She blurted out....

"I can't wait for you to show me a scan pic, hurry up and have some babies, I don't want to be a 40 yr old god mother."

I froze. I wanted to cry!!!! I replied with "Well, it's not for want or trying, it might just take longer with my health problems, my thyroid alone probably needs to be fixed and then my joint/back/pelvis/knee problem needs to be stabilised." I muttered on quickly hoping she would get the hint.

"Well it would be a shame if you didn't have babies, because you and X are soulmates, the kind of people who should be having kids." And then took a massive swig of her beer. I had to escape to the loo, take a minute and compose myself.

Probably doesn't help my knees have been sore since Monday when I had to twist and hold positions for X-rays. So I just gave that excuse when I came back a bit sniffly.

I think it was the reality check I probably didn't want but needed. My body is probably not in the best shape to carry a baby right now as much as I desperately want this I need to be realistic. Probably doesn't help that I'm 33 in a week. Sad

kwick · 23/11/2016 22:05

skipper what a frickerty fcuk Flowers
I just had a Hycosy a few months ago. At my clinic it costs £550 - but I think you can get for around £400.
Procedure was as follows: speculum in, catheter in, speculum out, internal scan in, dye/foam in, PAIN, internal scan out, catheter out, PAIN.
You should get the results there and then.
Take paracetamol BEFORE!

jam hope you have LSFX!!!

That is me mrs I have MN and adult colouring books Grin

Sorry geeup Flowers

fxskip I believe your stats are defo worthy of kwick Cake

geeup I am an "intervention all the way baby" kinda gal - at the end of the day you want a baby - not sure it matters how it comes. If you leave, I would have to and I definitely do not want to do that!!!

Hiya binky hope you had a great holiday! I was wildly symptom spotting at the weekend but now I have a sinking feeling it will be another BFN....
