Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Period not actually due until 13 December but bright pink spotting today - very fresh blood. Ovia suggesting it's also time to take a pregnancy test for some reason. Despite period being 9 days away. Should i get my hopes up...can you bleed from having an internal cut from sex maybe? Confusedbit fed up

Yeh I do 3 when they start looking darker too. I think yours was probably during the night TTC do another BD if you can just incase Wink I bought a thermometer last month, but I haven't got round to using it. Think DH would think I was mental using it every morning haha! Although if nothing happens this month I might do.... but I'm quite happy that I know when I'm ovulating now and think we're doing it at the right time, just need some of the swimmers to get in there!

ttcnovice · 04/12/2016 14:09

Thanks MrsG glad to know I wasn't being excessive yesterday then!

I had a slightly stronger line yesterday morning so done another one around 9:30pm last night - that was the strongest I've had but still wasn't quite positive. It was fainter when I did this morning's at around 11am, so I wonder if it's possible I missed the surge overnight?

MrsG280516 · 04/12/2016 14:01

With OPKs I can really recommend doing more than one a day once they start to get darker, you could be missing your surge. Once I got an OPK that was almost as dark as the control line I do morning, afternoon (it straight after work) then late in the evening.

ttcnovice · 04/12/2016 13:40

I've been reading a lot about OPKs not working on everyone so I'm trying not to put too much emphasis on them to be honest! DH is wanting us to be as relaxed as possible about it all at first, but it's so hard not to obsess isn't it!

Is anyone charting their BBT and finding it more reliable? Not sure whether to give that a go instead!

Twistedsister7 · 04/12/2016 13:37

I have had two days of not quite positive OPKs & im losing the will to live. I just want it to be obviously positive Confused

charley2016 · 04/12/2016 13:05

My OPKs were funny this month too! I had a positive Thursday morning, negative Thursday night and then positive again Friday morning with a bit of spotting Confused so I'm going with Friday for ovulation and therefore 2DPO today. Only my second cycle but was much more prepared and DTD 4 days Mon-Thur so we shall wait and see.... good luck everyone Smile

Glitterbubble · 04/12/2016 12:34

..this month sorry

Glitterbubble · 04/12/2016 12:25

Hello everyone!
Can I join too?Grin I'm 25, nearly 26 TTC #1 DTD on final day of FW and only 3dpo according to Ovia ...so not even even really first official cycle and not expecting anything to happen unless I'm extremely lucky!! But I've been lurking mumsnet obsessively ever since so thought I would get involved now before starting official cycle 1 next month!! Grin

ttcnovice · 04/12/2016 11:54

Hi everyone can I join please?

Currently day 17 of our first TTC cycle after our wedding in September. I'm 23, DH is 25.

I used OPKs every day last month just to start to keep track - all negative. Read something online about using them at night instead of with FMU so have been doing both, but all very negative again until last night when it was quite a strong line, though not quite positive. Fainter again this morning though still with a line there, so not sure what it all means to be honest! We've been DTD almost every day just in case - twice last night - DH is not complaining!

Huge congrats to those who have your BFP's already! Here's hoping for the rest of us to join you soon Smile

mrsjkerry · 04/12/2016 08:35

Congratulations to you both! I am due to take a test any day now but have been stung too often by taking one early, so am stubbornly waiting Grin

Congratulations to you both. Keep us updated.

I feel like I'm finally getting in sync so fx it happens soon. Good luck to all.

MrsG280516 · 02/12/2016 16:25

Congrats firsttimer! How lovely Smile

firsttimer12345 · 02/12/2016 16:13

Congrats Mrsg! We have tested again and got a BFP too! Due 10th August. Can't believe it's happened so quickly.

MrsG280516 · 02/12/2016 16:05

Anyone else testing soon? I had a BFN on Monday at 10dpo then I got my BFP on 12dpo! So don't worry about those early BFNs Smile

If all goes well we have an estimated due date of 15th August!

firsttimer12345 · 29/11/2016 07:22

I think my mind is playing tricks on me. I can see a super faint line this morning!
Also been having a lot of stomach pains though :(

How is everyone else feeling today?

gemmarey85 · 28/11/2016 19:10

Hello everyone!

Ok, so here's a little about me:

31, first time TTC with DH! I came off the mini pill 14 days ago and no withdraw bleed or proper AF as of yet!

I promised I wasn't going to get obsessed but the crazy has already started...

I have gone through 10 OTPK kits and constantly checking my CM against google images-WTF?! I don't know when my cycles will start and I am so impatient!

Feel like I am already going baby mad?!?

Anyone else just starting this journey???

firsttimer12345 · 27/11/2016 19:37

Gosh aren't bodies confusing....
AF due here on Tuesday so who knows what will happen!

alwaysnumber1 · 27/11/2016 19:17

evening everyone hope your all ok.

things are still strange here lol
late AF
normal AF
stopped as normal then had a day of AF then stopped again

on and of im getting cramps still
doing the test strips each day to find the right time and so far nothing
should be aproaching my normal Af day but being late last month im guessing it will be a differnt time this time around?

Twistedsister7 · 25/11/2016 11:11

Still no AF & no BFP. Could my body have reset itself after implant removal on 7/11? I was having periods in the last year on implant and pretty regular so I assumed it would carry on as is.

As mentioned below I had some bleeding 20/11 through to 22/11 so hoped implantation but now seems not. I also have pain alternating between lower right/left side, frequent urination, and tiredness.

Out of sheer frustration I also did an ovulation test but bfn too.

I don't know what else to do, I like planning & hate not knowing now when I might bleed.

Anyone experienced similar?

adriana0pal13 · 24/11/2016 07:27

Sounds confusing mrsjkerry.
twisted, hope the wait doesn't drag too much for you.

Hi guys, just thought I'd introduce myself.
28, just stopped taking the pill (after 12 continuous years) so started the withdrawal bleed last night.
Bought some OPKs which I won't touch (ha) until a couple of regular cycles.
Also downloaded Ovia but I'll primarily be using this to track my cycles without relying on it to much for ovulation prediction.

mrsjkerry · 23/11/2016 21:40

Ovia just totally changed my fertile window to last week based on my data entry today!! I'm very upset as now I feel I've missed my opportunity...

OP posts:
Twistedsister7 · 23/11/2016 18:24

Tested again & pretty sure it's negative. No more testing until next week which would be two weeks sine dtd.

Twistedsister7 · 23/11/2016 12:59

The more I look online the more I think my 'line' was too far down the strip. Probably evap. But will try again if no real AF this week.

Twistedsister7 · 23/11/2016 12:48

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture as I was telling myself not to get my hopes up. I'll try again tomorrow & see if any clearer.

How far apart do the lines appear because they seemed quite far apart but this is literally my first time testing xx
