Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Omg mrsjkerry and tuxie, I can't wait til you guys test!! I'd be totally convinced if I was you so fair play to you if you're still trying to keep calm haha 😂
Oh I know Marie, I see them all the time at the mo too, you're bound to feel like that but just think how awesome you'll feel when it's your go!!
All quiet with me, not noticing any symptoms other than slightly achey boobs but I'm aching all over after 2 hours of absolutely dancing and raving on Monday night haha. And I always get sore boobs a long time before af arrives anyway so just looking forward to hearing off all you guys now 😝x

Marie90 · 22/02/2017 09:43

Arrrggghhhh! There are baby announcements EVERYWHERE at the moment! I can't seem to log into fb without there being another 12 week scan photo, or 1st child with a t-shirt saying "I'm going to be a big brother/sister".

I know I'm being completely unreasonable, and I'm happy for them, but when you're in the middle of the tww and there's nothing you can do to find out whether your of or not it's so frustrating!!

😂 Please don't judge me for being a bitch lol!

ttcnovice · 22/02/2017 09:25

Mrsj and tuxie you both have promising signs!

Glad you enjoyed the gig Misty

CD16 here and yet another "high" reading, that's the 6th one now Angry. I feel like giving up on OPKs because it's really stressed me out this month, but then again I want as clear a picture as possible if I do end up needing to book a GP appointment. Catch 22 really!

tuxie11 · 22/02/2017 08:49

mrsj only folic acid which was about two weeks ago when I first started 😊 Other than that no major change in diet except eating less as I haven't fancied it! Was really bloated at start of 2ww

Boob movement sounds good - mine haven't been tender at all just fuller and my nipples have gotten bigger.
In regards to CM I was dry and then had a few days of lots of thick white CM

Period due tomorrow so I feel like I'm going to be on period check which is ridiculous as my cycles are usually I know on the day if it's gonna turn up. 🤞🏻

mrsjkerry · 22/02/2017 08:12

Tuxie just had a thought. Have you started taking any supplements or cod liver oil or anything recently? When I started taking omega 3 I got oily skin...but obviously fingers crossed it's a sign for you!!

OP posts:
mrsjkerry · 22/02/2017 07:55

Boobs feel fuller but not tender yet as they usually get before AF. Also fairly dry on the Cm this month. Is this a sign of anything...? 😄

Hey girls! I'm back!! Kings of leon was absolutely amazing! I had a few wines and absolutely danced my socks off, sung along to every song (I'm beyond super-fan and have been for 15 years lol) my body is aching top to toe, feel like I've had a workout! It was outstanding 😍
Back to work and normality tomoz, I'm on such a downer 😭
Looking forward to Friday to kick off the bfp's!!
I'm currently 5dpo and not noticing any symptoms or looking for any!
I had ewcm for a couple of days after I think I ovulated MARIE and I wondered that myself but it's stopped now, no idea when it stopped lol.
Mrsjkerry I argue with hubs alllllll the time like that. I can't believe I married him sometimes lol doesn't mean I don't love him or we won't work it out, just means I want to kill him sometimes. I'm a drama queen though so sometimes I do actually want a divorce (in my head - we've only been married 5 months, but together on and off for 13 lol) I too worry about stress affecting things, I listen to a lot of things on YouTube, if you type in "stress relief music" and "anxiety relief sleep music" loads of things come up, headphones on, deep breaths and try to relax.
Hope everyone is doing good :) xx

tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 21:31

Good signs twisted! Keep rested and I've got my FX that it's a lil one on its travels through!

Marie, sounds good on the exercise front. I think above all you have to listen to your body. If it's normal to be active then carry on but seeking advice is always a good one. When I get a positive I'll definitely ask about what's good or not. Better to know than not!

mrsj - agree 100% aunt flow - what even is that?! I'd rather just call it a period. The mind boggles.

And yes misty hope the gig was fun! I'm just having a lush (cosmetics!) bath to make me smell divine to take my mind off this disgusting acne that's covered my face Sad

mrsjkerry · 21/02/2017 21:21

Misty how was your gig??

Twisted you are not alone! Sat here reading through other online forums about all women who got BFPs and what their symptoms were. There's even a forum where women give details on the symptom they had each day after ovulation!

Tuxie I agree I hated all the acronyms at first. PPT makes more sense. AF is the one I hate!!!!

Marie I'm due af on 1st march as my lp is short Confused(based on previous data). So frustrating.

I've already decided I'm way more tired than usual (and it has nothing to with a busy time at work).

Marie90 · 21/02/2017 18:23

It's good to know that you guys exercise too... I've got a V.active job and a bit paranoid that it will affect TTC. Once I do get my BFP I'll be checking with the gp about how much I should be doing etc but until then I don't really want work to know we're TTC!

Twisters I'm 3dpo too and keep having to tell myself that I'm Not getting symptoms as it's so early!! It's weird how the brain makes our bodies think we're feeling stuff when it's way too early to tell! Is your AF due 3rd March too?

Wow tuxie11 they seem like very positive signs!! Fx for you! im also glad someone else thinks BFP is an odd term!! 😂

tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 16:54

Just read my reply back, deffo meant cramps not craps 😂
Thank you ladies, it's cycle 1 so I know we will be v.v lucky if we do, still holding out the universe working in our favour!

TTC, that sounds positive. I stupidly assumed everyone ovulated (hence the reason for a period) but did some quick googling and realised it's not quite that simple! I could be wrong isn't clomid used for potential ovulating issues?

I'm sure there is no way the GP will know if you've been trying for 6 months or 12, so lots of luck to you & Twisted that you get your BFP soon and don't have to go!

How ridiculous is the term BFP? Why on earth is it not just PPT (positive pregnancy test?) I don't get it haha!

Twistedsister7 · 21/02/2017 16:31

Tuxie that does all sound promising so fx for you.

TTC I will also be going to GP after 6 months as nearing 35 & I am also concerned that my Luteal Phase is 9/10 days which I have read is not ideal for ttc.

ttcnovice · 21/02/2017 16:26

Tuxie I'm not too sure really! I think if we haven't got a BFP by cycle #6 then I will book a GP appointment, but supposedly they won't do any tests until you've been trying for 12 months. Not sure if that differs if you suspect you're not ovulating normally though.

The only thing that's keeping me positive about it is that I've read that with anovulatory cycles (cycles in which you don't ovulate) often differ hugely in length from normal ones. That's keeping me positive as all of my cycles are very regular around the 28 day mark, but who knows, it's all guesswork isn't it!

Your symptoms sound very promising tuxie! You're being very restrained too waiting until Thursday for the FRERs, I'm envious of your willpower Grin. Will be keeping my fx for you!

ttcnovice · 21/02/2017 16:20

Thanks Twisted it's very annoying that our bodies can't be more predictable!

I had to laugh at your internal dialogue about symptom spotting I'm afraid Grin that has been me every single month so far! At least we're all crazy here together!

tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 16:18

TTC Sad will be a huge bummer if you are only O every other month. Is there any way you can test for it or not? I'm so new to the whole ovulation thing I have no idea! Flowers for you I hope it become more clear

I've only just ordered 2x FRER tests to be picked up on thurs so I can't. I'm actually really apprehensive about it 🙈 I've had some unusual things I've never experienced (just developed oily acne over night after always having alright but dry skin) and my boobs & nipples have gotten bigger (usually a a/b cup so quite noticeable!) other than that, I've just had some dull AF type craps so things have kind of eased off so no idea what to make of it all!

It is a bloody maze of emotions & signs I swear Confused

Twisted - don't think your crazy. Some people do get some symptoms v early on😊

Twistedsister7 · 21/02/2017 16:04

Ttc I'm sorry you're feeling confused. I honestly still haven't gotten my head around it. No positive opk for me but I was low on stock so I'm hoping I just missed it. My body did the usual around o day so I choose to believe.

I have type 2 diabetes & been advised to stick to diet & exercise but reduce intensity as needed. Nurse says pay attention to your body & it will tell you (she's so laid back).

I am also symptom spotting at 3dpo. I will never learn. The voices in my head argue like ooh it could be a sign/don't be so stupid women. Driving myself crazy here.

ttcnovice · 21/02/2017 15:40

Tuxie I've been OPK'ing since my first cycle TTC. Have so far managed to confirm ovulation in cycles 1 and 3, so you're right that there might be a pattern. Cycle 2 I used the IC one step OPKs that I found really difficult to use, so just thought I may have missed my surge, but if I don't get a positive this month on the CB's then it does look like I'm only ovulating every other month. Would be devastated Sad. Going to carry on testing though and see what happens! I don't notice CM so can't really use that as an indicator unfortunately.

How are you getting on, any temptations to test yet? Smile

Marie I'm not the most sporty, but I tend to swim as exercise and have still been doing so as normal so far.

mrsjkerry · 21/02/2017 15:05

I go to the gym every morning before work. I have been running at a much slower pace. I am cancelling my personal training sessions this week as they are intense and he always finishes them with 200 abs. So I'm still exercising, just not as hard.

OP posts:
tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 13:44

marie - I go to the gym 3/4 times a week. I've just been doing things lighter, not pushing the cardio too much, lighter weights but I have stopped all ab workouts for the time being. I think it's good for you to stay as active as possible Smile

Marie90 · 21/02/2017 13:22

Is anyone on here sporty? If so are you giving up your sport whilst TTC? Or when you're PG? Are there any guidelines on playing sport when TTC? Confused

tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 13:18

ttc how many cycles have you been OPK-ing? I'm not very well researched on it but maybe there is a pattern? Don't be dis heartened, keep doing it, perhaps it's just taking a while longer this cycle. 🤞🏻 For you, and sending some positive thoughts to you. What does your CM say?

mrsjkerry · 21/02/2017 12:46

So someone on maternity leave has brought their 5 week old baby in today. Everywhere I look these days there are babies and pregnancies!!!

OP posts:
ttcnovice · 21/02/2017 10:28

Morning everyone!

Bit stressed out/confused here. Had yet another flashing smiley "high" reading on the CB OPKs rather than a solid "peak" reading. That's day 5 of highs, when last cycle I got the peak after just 2 days of high. Quite worried that I'm not going to ovulate at all this month as it's getting quite late on in the cycle now (CD15). If I'm only ovulating every other month then it's going to take double the time to conceive Sad. Feeling like it will never happen now.

MissMango100 · 21/02/2017 08:37

Me. I'm 8DPO. Unfortunately....I haven't spotted any!
