TTC - First time!

Claire I have been told frer are most reliable as can test 5 days before af. Clear blue also but I got what looked like a line earlier this week but nothing on frer. Apparently blue line tests are notorious for squinty lines that aren't lines whereas pink ones like frer are better & clearer.

Morrisons own are pink lines & £3.50 for two. No early testing though.

God I use the app so when I go to reply I forget what I'm writing to who because you can't look back!!

Maybe it is ovulation but I did a OPK yesterday and it was negative :( maybe i will try once I'm home from work or just DTD like you said 😀

Twisted - Sounds like you're not having a great time at the moment! Just don't write it off completely and enjoy yourself at your parties. We can't stop our lives whilst we are trying to conceive! I don't drink at all but I weight train a lot, so will not be going easy with that until I get my BFP X

I'll be testing tomorrow with a cheapie and it still no AF I'll get a FRER... Are they the best brand? Not clear blue?

The spotting has stopped completely since this morning but I read cramps mean it's not implantation and I've been quite crampy.

Would any pregnancy test show anything a day after possible implantation bleeding anyway?

Hi Twistedsister7 - I'm desperately TTC too and am trying hard to stop myself from testing too early.... I'm on CD 24 today with the dreaded AF due on Tuesday 20th.... like you I really want a BFP for xmas and am so impatient to get it, i want to know now.... the last few days of the cycle are just so long.... grrrrrr. I have clearblue pregnancy tests at the ready and from the information on the pack and from what i've read - you're more likely to get an accurate result the nearer you test to your period due date..... hold out as long as you can hun....

Guys I am work sick with this damn cold that won't shift & I did a frer. It was negative. Reality check.

Down but not out. I have one frer left & I am damn well not going to use it until after af due (Monday). I have two Christmas parties & whilst I won't drink excessively I'm going to enjoy them without thinking 'but I could be pregnant'. The odds are not on my side anyway with a negative frer & the timing plus other health factors like betting type2 diabetic & overweight.

I promised DH, and myself, that if it didn't happen this time I would focus on myself & my health rather than obsessing over ttc. We'd still actively try but I won't obsess or get my hopes up. An early new year resolution.

Is anyone else testing today/tomorrow. Fx for you all xxx

charley sorry you're feeling down today but don't forget it's not over until AF arrives. What is it about your CM that makes you think she's on her way?

I'm a bit confused today. My symptoms had all but gone apart from a little nausea, but then I got a dull aching boob pain back last night which is still here today. Could be because AF is due, but I've never had boob pain before, and have no other PMS symptoms at all today. Usually the day before AF I break out in loads of spots, but if anything my skin is clearer than usual! Psychology has a lot to answer for if AF does arrive on time tomorrow!

Amz your maybe ovulating? I would DTD just incase!

Well DH woke up this morning and told me he thinks I'm a little different and has a feeling I'm pregnant. I went to the toilet, checked my CM and it looks like AF is likely to appear today I really got my hope up for nothing again!

Hope it's not AF Claire.. It doesn't sound like it tho! 👍

glitter- well that's a good sign if AF hasn't shown her ugly faces! If you're usually on time it is very strange! You could be to early still to get your BFP.. When you next testing?

TMI alert when I've been checking the position of my cervix I have had some egg white CM there's not to much but I was unsure if it was maybe a sign of AF or pregnancy? Has anyone had that? X

I've been reading but not posting as I didn't feel like much was going on this end .... but...

I've had Ovia for a while, even before thinking about TTC so I could monitor roughly when AF was due and my average cycle has been 28 days apart from once it was 29!

AF was due on Tuesday 13th and still no sign! Now cycle day 31 according to app! I did a test on what I thought was 6dpo as I was going on holiday for the weekend and it was BFN obviously!

I've not really had any symptoms ..I don't think, though I had sore boobs on and off last week but maybe it was in my head/ AF due symptom, this morning I've woke up with a headache and not a lot to report regarding CM throughout

Also when updating daily, Ovia is just moving my previous so called fertile window when I tell it AF has not arrived ..so it making it look like we DTD at a better time than originally thought

What the hell is going on with me?? Just unusually late surely? Don't want to get my hopes up
I hope this makes some sort of sense

I did a cheapie ebay test yesterday but it was negative and didn't today as I thought it was AF so will wait until tomorrow and see what happens..

If it's not AF I will go and buy some better testes.

Just had a child vomit all down my front at work and am now wearing paper surgical knickers... Excellent start to the day!

Dangle a friend of mine came off the pill, didn't have a period at all and then 4/5 months later she was pregnant! Our bodies are weird and wonderful things!!

Hope it's not AF Claire. Are you going to test before your Xmas do?
Been a week since my last pill, no withdrawal bleed yet. My friend came off her pill in August hasn't had a withdrawal or period since! That would kill me!

So I convinced myself last night that the spotting was AF to avoid disappointment.... This morning I got a some pinkish discharge when I woke up and then I got to work and hardly anything just some brown stuff (sorry TMI). It's probably my body giving me false hope and I wish AF would just come if it's going to!

Hellish day at work today so hopefully that will take my mind off things until this evening. Work Christmas party tomorrow so I'm hoping I have a result either way

My next ovulation day is the 23rd December which weirdly enough is the date I lost the baby last year. Spooky.

TTC that's interesting.... although I don't want to get my hopes up and spend more on tests, I can imagine if I'm late I'll be straight back out to testing my DH keeps saying to me it will happen when it happens, but he's constantly asking about ovulation and dates and every time I say something hurts, it's 'oh you might be pregnant'. We have our little nephew at the weekend and he coo'ed over everything he did and we all fell asleep curled up on the sofa very cute. It breaks my heart to see him suddenly so ready and it not happening to be honest.

claire I know what you mean! DH was shocked he'd got through 5 years of medical school without realising you had to DTD at specific times to get a BFP! Either he skipped all his obs&gynae lectures, or he was having me on to encourage more sex!

I know a few of you are on the December bus thread too - a poster on there earlier today said she got a BFN on a FRER in the morning, but had BFP's on two other brands (one a digital CB) later that day. Interesting!

I'm just hoping it won't turn into a full blown period. At least if nothing comes of it this month I'll know what to look out for... This is cycle number one and I wasn't expecting anything for a few months!

charley that's the best approach to take I think - if we assume it's not our month then it's a bonus if it is, and we won't face more disappointment if it's not!

So I'm not sure what's going on... I spotted today but it's very slight streaky and mixed in with eggwhite CM... I spotted 9 days ago which I wondered was ovulation bleeding... Could this been implantation spotting? My period isn't due for 5 days (albeit with irregular cycles but that's an average).

Anyone had anything like this?!

I'm also massively bloated and nauseous!
