Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

I am about 10-11 DPO. Boobs massive but a usual AF symptom. Due on Saturday according to Ovia...

ttcnovice · 01/02/2017 12:55

How many DPO are you now mrsj? Got to admit I considered testing this morning and I'm only 7DPO Grin

MistyBxx · 01/02/2017 07:14

Don't do it!!! Just wait til Saturday you'll feel much better 😂x

mrsjkerry · 01/02/2017 06:56

Itching to test...

Good luck Misty - hope it was just too early for you! You're not out until AF arrives remember. I did think about implantation cramping but it'd be too early, everything I've read has said it doesn't start happening until 6DPO at the earliest. So quite confused about it really!

MistyBxx · 30/01/2017 11:06

Thanks ttc, I only used a cheapy stick one but I read the back and it picks up the hormone in

ttcnovice · 30/01/2017 10:26

Try not to be down about the BFN Misty - even if you're 10DPO it could still be too early to show up. What type of test did you use as they all have different sensitivities too!

Something strange happened to me yesterday - I had some mild(ish) cramping so was convinced I was going to wake up with AF a whole week early. Nothing so far though and no further pains/any other symptoms. I'm only 5DPO so I can't figure it out, I never get any cramps any other time apart from the day before AF. Surely it must be a bad sign though? Sad

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/01/2017 23:34

I'm with you on that one mrsjkerry, I have had some chemical pregnancies which were basically like the worst periods ever but I had a positive test so that's why I know they weren't normal periods. It's not worth testing early although I'm guilty of it myself so often!!!

MistyBxx · 29/01/2017 23:31

Yeah I will defo wait til sat morning. I honestly don't know what made me do it, totally impulse!! I regretted it straight away! But I'm gonna forget about it all now and wait until Saturday morning defo!xx

mrsjkerry · 29/01/2017 20:40

Like Claire I also had a positive early on once, and then what followed was an extremely heavy period six days later, so I figure it was a pregnancy that didn't catch on. I always remind myself: testing early can result in false negatives, making you feel shit. But also, they can show false positives too as it's early. Apparently many women get 'pregnant' and don't even realise it because by the time they test or their period comes, they've lost it already. Moral of the story - test from the day AF is due!! I'll be eagerly waiting your news on Saturday

I started TTC with my DP (age 32) September on holiday, turned 27 in November and conceived in December! Now I'm one month pregnant Smile

MistyBxx · 29/01/2017 20:24

Well I was going to do Friday originally coz I wasn't sure I could wait til Saturday lol but if you're doing it sat morning, I've got no interest in testing again now haha so i can easy wait til then!! I'm just annoyed coz I'm literally so impulsive, I don't know why I did it, i had no reason to, I know I'm early but I do feel out now. But I will defo give it a week, would be good to be 100% sure I guess. Thanks chick x

mrsjkerry · 29/01/2017 20:09

@mistybxx try not to think about it that way! You're not out yet. And even if it is a bfn this month, you know you can try again! I am still waiting definitely until period due. Too much going on with the house etc to worry about it right now! Do it with me on Saturday or something!?

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 29/01/2017 19:24

Omg I just took a test! Bfn of course 😩🙈 I'm so stupid lol I was just on another thread saying I'm going to hold off testing til next Fri (af not due til either Thursday, Saturday or Sunday next week...) then all of a sudden I needed the loo and before I knew it, I was peeing on a stick! God I'm so impatient!
And it was negative. I feel really down now which is silly coz I know I confused my opk and didn't dtd on all the right days this cycle, so chances were slim but you know when you just hope?!?
And I know it could be too early, I may not have enough hcg yet and I should wait til af is due but now I've tested, I just can't see it suddenly changing in a week 😂 I ovulated 10 days ago (at most - could be 7 or 8 days ago) but in my mind bfn is bfn. I'm just so annoyed with myself, I wish I could have kept going in my lil what if bubble a little longer! As if Sunday nights aren't depressing enough 🙈xx

MistyBxx · 29/01/2017 12:13

Bluebell headspace is amazing, I was recommended that by my work's counsellor. It is good if you can get into it, but from there, I began looking into meditation and positive thinking a lot more and came across hundreds of fab things on YouTube which I now listen to every night with headphones as I fall asleep, search relaxation music, anti-stress, binaural beats and isochronic tones and frequencies, I definitely think it helps. You can even have 5-10 minute morning meditations on there to listen to before you get out of bed to set you up for the day :) xx

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/01/2017 11:55

Hi mrsjkerry
I don't think you should worry, anxiety affects a lot more people than I ever realised when I was younger. I get troubled with it from time to time. I've been recommended the Headspace app for mindfulness thinking, although haven't had chance to use it properly yet but it might be something you wanted to look into. Remember we are all here for a chat if you need to vent. Thinking positive thoughts for you. x

MistyBxx · 29/01/2017 11:45

Oh MrsKerry it's horrible when you get anxiety like that. Before the wedding, I was getting almost panic attacks, random heart palpitations and an urge to scream or cry and just feeling overwhelming distress for a few seconds... I'd wake up in the middle of the night heart pounding and sweaty as if I'd had a nightmare that I couldn't remember. My job is really stressy though, and we have a counsellor we can book to chat to, so I did that. It helped a lot, I thought it was the wedding I was stressing about but when we got down to it, turns out it went a bit deeper than that (nothing too serious) so I'd defo suggest having a chat with someone, you may think you're stressing about something in particular which may turn out to be a cover for what really getting to you. It can defo be detrimental to ttc also, coz when we are stressed, when your anxieties are high, your hypothalamus releases signals to your pituitary gland to prepare your body for a fight/flight situation which is a chemical reaction and literally messes everything up, so if you don't catch this month, don't blame yourself, you haven't done anything wrong, it's science and chemicals, but obviously all the more reason to seek a bit of guidance on how you're feeling chick coz you want to look after yourself. Big hugs to you xx
In my news, no more symptoms but boobies still very sore, nips look the same though, no colour change! Due af either Thursday, Saturday or Sunday next week. As I say, my boobies hurt bad for about 9 whole days before af arrived last month too so I'm not expecting anything. And no more substances down below lol xx

mrsjkerry · 29/01/2017 10:57

Hello everyone.
Moving house tomorrow and suddenly become wracked with anxiety. About money, family agreements, 'what-if' questions etc. Does anyone else go through these spells or is it just me? My husband maintains it's unusual and I should see someone.

This month has been a worry month, and they say that can interfere with TTC? So although we DTD all at the right time and everything, I'm sure stress may play a part if we are unsuccessful this month.

Any other news this morning? @mistyb it's so hard not to think...'could this be a sign...' I do the same. Last month I was convinced I was pregnant I wanted to download other pregnancy apps 😄 hope all is well with everyone xx

Hey everyone, so I THOUGHT I had a smidge of implantation bleeding tonight... I nearly fainted lol I'm either 10/8/7dpo and I was like omg, could it be?? It was on the tissue when I went for a wee and was literally one tiny browny stripe when I wiped.
BUT (and this is a bit gross, sorry) I get slight piles lol 🙈 not the dangly grape type, but just very delicate up there and it bleeds a little if I don't drink enough water and go to the toilet (gosh I'm a delight aren't I) and I've noticed a bit of blood there today too so then I realised it must be from that when I saw it earlier.
Maaaaan I promised myself I wasn't going to symptom spot this month!!!xxx

Slinkery · 28/01/2017 19:59

@mrsjkerry My husband was the sensible one, he wanted marriage and the house first and I'm glad we waited. It feels like the right time...but I still pestered mwaha! I am very excited.

mrsjkerry · 28/01/2017 18:46

Haha! Slinkery he would've been happy if we'd had a baby in the first year! He's from one of those backgrounds where you have kids early (20) and never really get married or buy a house. He has kids from a previous relationship and he had those at 22. It was more me! I told him in no uncertain terms we were doing the marriage and the house first!!!

OP posts:
Slinkery · 28/01/2017 18:34

@mrsjkerry I am 27 and have done my husbands head in talking about it. He has finally agreed to start trying, I've been pestering for years 😂

MistyBxx · 28/01/2017 11:29

Yeah last month mine went crazy over a week before my period, and for years on the pill I NEVER had sore boobies, and since I've been off it since August, last month was the first time I'd experienced soreness so was convinced I was pg!! Then af arrived like clockwork 😔
It seems I'm getting different symptoms every month since coming off pill, first cycle hit me like a truck, the cramps and heavy flow was NOTHING like I'd experienced while on it! Then next cycle I had headaches and dizziness, cycle after that nausea made an appearance and last cycle was the agonising boobs! Allllllll of which are pg symptoms hahaha. So I'm honestly not expecting anything, the boob-ache has arrived about the same time as it did last month so just waiting for af now. Not even tempted to test this cycle lol gonna wait til at least sat 4th Feb.
Ooooh it's good that nobody knows your private baby plans!! No pressure! And then you can just be like "surprise!!!"x x

mrsjkerry · 28/01/2017 08:38

Last cycle I got tender breasts nine days before period was due. My period is now due in seven days. So sounds about right.

I've seen my trainer with a pregnant woman before, and also checked his qualifications online the other day and it says he's a specialist in antenatal and postnatal, so no need to ask yet! I don't think anybody expects a baby from me for some reason. Other than a couple of my friends who I told I was TTC anyway!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 28/01/2017 00:33

Haaaa they will be 😂
Oh that's mad Mrsk! I get it all the time! I mentioned to my trainer the other day about exercising in ttc/pregnancy, just out of curiosity really and he was like yeah it's fine etc then he was like "oh so are you currently trying?" Like looking me dead in the eye asking if I'm totally AT IT with my husband, I went bright red, I was like oh! Ummm well umm I'm hoping ummm well yes, no, well see what happens! I have a real issue saying "yes we are trying" it just makes me cringe 😂👊🏼
My boobies are also slightly swollen and a bit tender but I'm due AF any time between next thurs to next sun (cycle totally buggered this month lol) so I'm not hopeful. Don't "FEEL" pg at all. Not that I know what pg feels like lol xx
