Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Its horrible mrsj I am happy for them but feel so crap for myself. Every time someone says 'I've got something to tell you' I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's no another pregnancy

mrsjkerry · 03/02/2017 16:35

Hi wishful. I feel the same about my best friend. Every time I think about it I get so upset. It's not fair that others can have so easily what you want..

Major breakdown today. A friend told me she was expecting (in her words it was a big shock) have cried constantly for about 2 hours 😢 why is it the folk who don't plan can fall so easily but when u plan it its so hard. Feeling absolutely gutted and DH doesn't help much

MistyBxx · 03/02/2017 14:09

Thanks twisted xx mrsJ I've worked it out and I'm actually gonna try again this month (Feb) it would be next month that would result in a December baby 😂 Christ, I can't even get dates right, how on earth am I gonna figure out my opks haha.
I'm defo gonna look after myself, gonna do a Clean 9 this month to give me a kick start and carry on eating well from that, and up my gym attendance from once to twice a week! Defo better for baby, and as you say something else to focus on lol x

Twistedsister7 · 03/02/2017 13:04

Sorry to hear MrsJ & Misty.

I don't know if it's all in my head but AF & symptoms seem to be increasing each month & it's totally confusing!!

To distract myself this month I am focusing on my own health. Order a fit watch thing & downloaded My Fitness Pal. It only helps right? (And gives me something else to obsess over).

I'm sorry to hear people are suffering mentally, it isn't nice at all but so many suffer in silence. Please rant away on here & know you'll get sympathy & support.

Here's to the next cycle.

mrsjkerry · 03/02/2017 12:16

Misty- you're right about a December baby, but I can't bear to stop trying for a month! Especially with my friend being pregnant it would be great to be at the same time!

Sorry to hear AF came for you. Mine came too this morning. And with a vengeance.

ttcnovice · 03/02/2017 11:11

Don't worry mrsj my DH is exactly the same, the way their brains work baffles me on a daily basis! Mine will take rubbish out to the kitchen, walk past the bin, and put it down on the worktop Angry just what kind of thought process do you have to have to do that? Hmm

Sorry about AF for you both twisted and Misty SadFlowers

Twistedsister7 · 03/02/2017 09:02

I'm out, the witch is here 😡

MistyBxx · 02/02/2017 23:24

Oh bless you mrsj... that's men for you though. They just don't get it, I don't think they own common sense, my hubs does stupid shit every day that I could bollock him for 🙈 my pet hate is when he makes toast/sandwich and just leaves the bread on the counter. Just leaves it. Open. Sometimes I don't see it til the next day. Whole loaf dried out and stiff! He does the dishes (to be fair to him) and then leaves the sponge sat floating in a bowl of dirty water... just squeeze out the sponge and pull the plug! Arghhh drives me wild 🙈😡 I could go on! Don't let it get to you, you're legit allowed to have a go, don't worry. But do remember that your hormones and disappointment may be adding to your rage!
I'm feeling pretty down tonight myself chick, af has totally hit me hard 😔 but we have to stay positive! I know it's hard. I was just saying now, I'm gonna give a month a miss now. I don't want a December baby lol and I think I need to give myself a break coz babymaking is supposed to be fun but I'm getting obsessed which isn't cool!!😳xx

mrsjkerry · 02/02/2017 22:51

Misty, TTC - I am feeling so down. Huge arguments tonight with my husband. I think because I'm so angry and fed up about my period coming and being in our new house only two days is so stressful as everything is in boxes and it's chaos everywhere.

I yelled at him tonight because he put the stuff from the washing machine onto the kitchen floor before putting it in the tumble dryer. Why would you do that? The kitchen floor is DIRTY! So I had to wash it all again. AIBU??

ttcnovice · 02/02/2017 20:01

Ah mrsj sorry you're feeling down Sad don't worry it will happen for you! Misty is right all we can do is try our best and the rest is just sheer luck I think! You're not out yet remember xxx

I'm not symptom spotting much but I've been having the strangest sharp pains today quite low down. It feels as though there's lots of little needles inside my lower abdomen just pricking away at me every now and again! Confused No idea if that's even a thing in pregnancy but I'm going to add it to my "maybe" list for now I reckon.

mrsjkerry · 02/02/2017 19:26

Beginning to feel it'll never be my time!! No point in even testing this month as AF is definitely on its way tonight 😔

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 02/02/2017 10:17

MrsJ you have NOT FAILED at all chick, please don't feel like that, failing is implying you're doing something wrong which you're not, there's absolutely nothing else you can do except dtd with your partner on/around ovulation, that's all any of us can do lol and the only thing we can control. Everything else is up to fate and nature, so don't feel like a failure and she's a success, it was just her body's time and is going to be your time too soon!!🙌🏼

I honesty think I'm out girls, there's a difference between cramps that could be something else and af cramps I think, my cramps are literally like the af is just there, about to pop out any second haaa I've been to the loo about 5 times this morning just for a wipe coz it feels so close!! But I'm accepting of it now... messed up my opks this month anyway so shouldn't have been so hopeful! But it's not a failure, our bodies are amazing and this af is just letting me know I'm still working properly 😜 x

88claire · 02/02/2017 09:52

Thanks Misty and TTC

We did the deed last night and there has been no bleeding during after or this morning so hoping that's a good sign!

TTC I hope this is your month... Signs sound good to me! I was nauseous pretty much as soon as I conceived... Im still nauseous now but putting it down to the vitamins I'm taking... You never know though!

Misty.. Thankyou! I know lots of people who just looked at a man and fell pregnant! Frustrating isn't it!

mrsjkerry · 02/02/2017 09:29

TTC - I am massively envious and angry even that I've failed where she's succeeded!

I am at parent's evening tonight anyway. Though I do have a clear blue in the bathroom cupboard...

ttcnovice · 02/02/2017 09:20

Hi Willow welcome Smile it's amazing how much it can take over your life isn't it! You're in the right place anyway as it's definitely all us lot think about! Grin

ttcnovice · 02/02/2017 09:19

Sorry you're having such a rubbish time Claire Sad it seems like you're having to deal with one thing after the other at the moment doesn't it. Please feel free to rant away at us anytime you need to!

Misty you still never know so keep positive! It's annoying that early pregnancy symptoms are just like pre-AF symptoms isn't it! Fx for you still.

Mrsj it's tough feeling happy for someone close when they announce versus the pang of jealousy isn't it. Or is that just me Blush

My quick update is just that I'm now 8DPO and woke up feeling very nauseous. Really trying not to pin any hopes on it as I did have some nausea in my first cycle of trying, but this is so intense it's making me think maybe... Staying positive anyway but not too positive so I don't get disheartened again! I can't help but feel that this month seems different though arghhhh!

MistyBxx · 02/02/2017 08:26

Don't test! Rather nature show her ugly head than that damn line 😔 I know how u feel though, one of my besties is pg after a 1 night stand 😳 after these last few months I really don't know how anyone can get pg by accident lol 😂 obv I know if happens but like wow... i do wonder why I ever went on the pill haha (jokes... kind of)
Welcome to the rollercoaster willow!
Well my cramps are pretty intense today, af due any time today-Sunday!x

mrsjkerry · 02/02/2017 07:54

Best friend just told me she is pregnant - without even trying! Very happy for her obviously but now the urge to test myself is even stronger. Trying to outweigh how crappy I feel now versus how crappy I'll feel with a BFN...

Willow25 · 02/02/2017 00:32

Hi, I am 25 and hubby and I are trying for our first. I've browsed many a forum but this is my first post as, like you MrsJKerry, I'm at risk of driving the husband mad. I think it's maybe different for men but ever since we decided to come off the pill in Nov I've felt somehow different and it's always at the back of my mind. Excited to be chatting with people in the same boat! Smile

MistyBxx · 02/02/2017 00:31

Oh Claire chick you sound down in the dumps and who can blame you, you've had a shitty time. So glad these boards exist so you can rant away, don't apologise! Really hope things settle with you soon xx
News with me is I tested bfn last Sunday, I know it was early but I don't feel it was wrong. I've also just discovered tonight that when you come off the pill, you get af symptoms pretty much from ov onwards 🙈 literally been thinking I'm pg last couple of cycles (this one included) based purely on how "early" and long-lasting af-like symptoms have been! Didn't realise til tonight that the pill was making my af symptoms appear like the day before and first day of af... and that was it. so of course these days, pill-free, boobies are aching a solid week before af is due, tummy bloats, cramping starts a good 5 days before af-day and I'm like wft?! I'm pg, defo!
But nope! It was just the pill making my symptoms so short lived before, by most accounts, af does actually start rearing its ugly head like 5dpo onwards! I'm gutted but at least now I can stop symptom spotting and thinking it's something other than af because it's too soon for af... note to self... it's not too soon, it's normal lol 😂
Af is due to arrive tomorrow or Sunday (2 different apps lol) and it feels like it's nearly here and based on last Sunday's bfn also, I think I'm out of the game this month.
Hopefully your cycle will settle asap and you can take a deep breath and start again xx

88claire · 01/02/2017 23:06

Hello ladies.

I'm Feeling a bit fed up. Still bleeding on and off three weeks post miscarriage which has stopped regular BD with my OH. Frustrating as the OPKs haven't changed from an almost positive in ages (I think almost positive is normal for me). I did get a positive 10 days post miscarriage and assumed I couldn't ovulate that soon.

Went to the GP today who wants the early pregnancy unit to rescan me but I can't bring myself to go back there. Last time as I was waiting to hear the results of bloods to confirm the miscarriage this lady came out flaunting her scan around yelling how amazing everything was. I burst into tears and one of the nurses had to ask her to be a bit more aware of others. I've decided as the bleeding has slowed I will go if it starts again.

Blood tests show a low phosphate which I think is to do with vitamin D so need that rechecking too and my mum has just been diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Mucus doesn't make any sense i had some EWCM but mixed in with white thick clumpy stuff (sorry TMI) so I can't chart that and my temperatures are all over the place so that's no good either!

I'm feeling really sicky in the evenings and have no idea what that means.

So feeling generally crappy and haven't got the faintest idea where I am in a cycle now. I'm praying it settles down after my first period.

Sorry for the rant. I'm sure things will settle! I'm just a bit of a control freak and not knowing anything is getting to me a bit!

How is everyone else doing?

Twistedsister7 · 01/02/2017 21:23

Hi all. Fx for all testing in next few days.

I myself am due AF tomorrow according to Ovia & have the usual sore boobs & some cramps but not as bad as usual. Last few cycles I've been a day earlier than Ovia but nothing yet. Also mid way through tww I had the weirdest cramps & also have serious wind issues (sorry). It's unusual for me so here's hoping. BUT we only dtd once during fw so my sensible side is saying don't get your hopes but I suppose it does only take once.....

I'm currently away & no tests to hand. Could buy one in shop but DH says not until I'm officially late. He's right of course but grrrrr.

ttcnovice · 01/02/2017 19:37

If you've got a FRER I'd go for it in the morning then! Saying that, I've just picked up a pack of Asda's own brand tests (two for only £3.50) and they even say you can test up to 4 days before AF which is quite good really.
