Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

MrsJk I'm the same! Af finished today just about and we dtd this morning 😂 when does your fw start? Mine is the 12th (or the 16th) Ovia and Clue both say different! So just gonna go for it this month and hope for the best lol x

mrsjkerry · 06/02/2017 23:04

Yeh I am also a symptom spotter! AF fully gone now so we jumped back in immediately and DTD tonight 😄 husband said to do it everyday this month...let's see how we get on!!

Mrsjkerry

I did a cheapie that came with my OPK'S and that was negative so I think I just had a long surge in the end!

OK here goes the two week wait..... I know I'm gonna be a terribly symptom spotter 😂

mrsjkerry · 06/02/2017 22:08

Claire - id do it from today now if you had a positive yday. Did you ever even do a pregnancy test ?

88claire · 06/02/2017 21:40

Just an update...

OPK this evening is very dark but no longer positive. Phew!

Do I count myself as in the two week wait from yesterday today or tomorrow? (First positive Friday, last this AM)

Thanks ladies!!

Ps. I'm doing a very good job at eating all the chocolate!!

MistyBxx · 06/02/2017 11:43

Hey girls! Hope you're all well!
So last day of af for me, fw starts Sunday! Back on the horse! The metaphorical one that is... although hubs does like to think he's a bit of a stallion 😂😂😂
Bring on a valentines conception!!😍

ttcnovice · 06/02/2017 10:30

Thanks claire I think that's what I'll do! I can stay in my little bubble of hope for a bit longer that way Smile. All depending on whether AF keeps away of course! Let's hope she's in on the plan!

Having to eat allllll the chocolate has got to be a good trade off for not peeing on anymore sticks surely?! Enjoy that Grin.

88claire · 06/02/2017 10:07

Oh and *TTC
*
I would save a test for when you get back from Prague. No point upsetting yourself before you go away! Enjoy it and have the test to look forward to when you get home Smile

88claire · 06/02/2017 10:04

TTC

My sister just got back from Prague and said she had the best time! Enjoy. It seems well timed to take your mind off things Smile.

You've just jogged my memory about last time. It does seem to correlate to what happened with the OPK'S. And you're right I know I can conceive. We're gonna give BD a miss tonight (were both exhausted) and I'm going to lock the OPKS away! I have one of those sweet boxes with a timer on. I'll replace the sweets with anything I can pee on 😂 just means I'll eat all the chocolate!

Keeping everything massively crossed for you!

ttcnovice · 06/02/2017 09:54

Claire the first thing I was going to say was are you 100% sure you can't already be pregnant! I know it seems unlikely that you'd ovulate so early, but it looks like you're following the same pattern you did last time? Massive fx for a lucky BFP! If not, I would just carry on BD'ing when you can until they start to fade again. You know you can get pregnant so maybe you do just have a long LH surge for some reason? Ttc is just so confusing isn't it, who designed the whole process, someone sack them Grin.

Claire and mrsj no news yet (12DPO today). This will probably out me but never mind... I'm putting off testing because it's my birthday tomorrow! DH and I are going away for it later today (Prague - can't wait!) and I've packed the tests (along with tampons that I'm so hoping I don't have to use!). My dilemma is if I test tomorrow I could possibly get the best birthday present ever, but then I could also get the worst if it's a BFN and ruin the trip for myself in the process Sad. Really don't know what to do!

88claire · 06/02/2017 09:48

MrsJKerry

Totally read that wrong. Glad AF is gone! But still Fx for March! Still half asleep and baffled by rogue OPKS!!

88claire · 06/02/2017 09:42

Mrsjkerry

All second urine or later, only possible way I could be pregnant Is if I ovulated a few days after the miscarriage bleeding stopped. Lines 100% darker than the control (see pics, the top is sat morning and the bottom is today's). Tried Google and nothing really except suggesting PCOS which I definitely don't have!

Sorry to hear it's a new cycle for you Fx for March! Smile

mrsjkerry · 06/02/2017 09:32

TTC - any news!!

Claire - I have no idea. I've always struggled to get a positive! 100% can't be pregnant again? Have you googled this question? Are the lines actually as dark as each other? Are you testing first thing in the morning? I always get positives first thing...I believe they are false.

As for me, AF ends today. So on to a new cycle! Anyone with me??

TTC

Have you done a test yet?! Waiting with crossed fingers!! Smile

88claire · 06/02/2017 08:51

Good morning ladies!

So there I was thinking my body was finally getting into some sort of rhythm.

I got my first positive OPK on Saturday PM (blazing confirmed by static smiley on a clearblue dual hormone). The lines have got very slightly lighter since then but still very very positive (much darker than control line), have tested twice a day up to this morning.

I was really hoping it would be fading by now! It's getting exhausting BDing and even OH had to be convinced yesterday.

Has anyone experienced prolonged LH surges or blaringly positive OPKs? Any advice whether I should continue BD?

I had this happen last month and I was pregnant but there's absolutely no way I can be pregnant yet. Not enough to register on anything yet anyway.

Why is nothing simple with me?!! Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm now worried as I'm on a late shift we can't BD tonight and worried I'll still miss ovulation!

Thankyou ladies! Hope everyone is well!

ttcnovice · 05/02/2017 08:45

I haven't yet mrsj just because I found it much worse seeing a BFN the previous two cycles than I did AF actually coming. I think I'll test on Tuesday if AF hasn't arrived by then, but I'd like to hold out until Wednesday really!

mrsjkerry · 05/02/2017 08:13

Morning TTC. Have you taken a pregnancy test?? I would have done so by now!

OP posts:
ttcnovice · 05/02/2017 07:37

Morning all Smile

11DPO here and not much to report. Still getting nausea (but I had some in my first cycle too), am a little more tired than usual, and had stitch-like pains low down in my abdomen on 9DPO but nothing since. No other symptoms currently, either pre-AF or otherwise.

AF due tomorrow/Tuesday according to a 12-day luteal phase, but that would only make this cycle 25 days, so I'm not too sure whether to trust that? Does your LP definitely not change? Previous cycles have all been around the 28 day mark, but I did ovulate early on CD13 this month.

Cakes140481 · 04/02/2017 12:25

Well iam out iam 35 with four girls Smile need any granny advice on knitting iam here

ttcnovice · 04/02/2017 12:17

Those are unmistakably positive claire yay! Love that you're lying with your legs up in the air Grin this thread makes me feel better about my own craziness!

88claire · 04/02/2017 11:11

After what feels like weeks of negative OPKs I got these this morning. Just convinced OH to do the deed and currently lying with my legs in the air 😂😂😂

OVIA had the dates spot on if this is ovulation even with a miscarriage.

Fingers crossed!

MistyBxx · 04/02/2017 10:24

Same. Gonna go for it in Feb then ignore March coz I don't want a December baby anyway haha I know that sounds silly, like I can pick and choose, I don't appear to have that luxury 😂 but then in April I'm gonna go for it! I may do the odd opk about half way through the month to get an idea but I'm NOT going to obsess, it's getting me down lol. I agree with the docs though, I'm going to go in about May if nothing has happened and add a few months onto my trying time so they will take me seriously. Terrifying prospect but not as terrifying as having a problem and never knowing about it 😳x

wishfulthinking21 · 04/02/2017 08:57

This is my last month of monitoring everything. It gets soooo stressful trying to think of everything. Think I've got to the stage where if it happens it happens if it doesn't do I really want to go to docs n see if everything is ok? I'm not sure I do tbh would rather not know xx

mrsjkerry · 03/02/2017 23:48

Nice post misty! My husband says to me "stop with all the kits and fertile week business and let's just have lots and lots of sex". Maybe he's right. I might bin the OPKs and Ovia next month and see what happens. Though I do like knowing what's going on and they've become a bit of a crutch. Hate doing things blind 😄

MistyBxx · 03/02/2017 22:20

Oh girlies I know what you mean. I felt so down last night but I can't let myself wallow too long, I'm one of those people who others never believe "get down" I'm so bubbly and positive all the time then when I'm sad, I don't want to show it and it is hard putting a face on all the time. As I mentioned before, one of my besties who's a year older than me, got pg from a 1-night stand! I'm gobsmacked like how does that happen? I can't believe it lol. Then there's the ones you speak to who are like "oh my hubby only has to look at me and boom I'm pregnant, we had just decided to try and along came baby, first month!" Again I'm like what? But what I notice about everyone (or most) is that they really don't think about it too much. I mean, I've been on MN now for less than a month and I love ranting lol and I love all the support and nice words that strangers share with eachother :) we women are special and caring creatures! But... I do think it can get obsessive. That's why I'm going to stick to the cycle and do one more month of opk and tracking and everything doing it all properly and if I don't catch this month, I'm definitely going to go on a break! I came off the pill end of Aug, married in sept, and until Nov, I hadn't even downloaded a cycle tracker! I had no idea you could only get pg on ovulation (or what ovulation was lol) I didn't know anything about fertile weeks, nothing! I just thought you need to have lots of unprotected sex so I did and it was FUN lol 😂 every time we did it, I thought oh is it this time?? It was exciting not knowing tbh. I mean, I'm not saying go in blind (especially if any of you are 30+ like me I'm 32) and obviously it didn't work or I'd be 4 months gone by now lol. But I do think our maternal instincts are driving us a little crazy and if we are getting down about it, that in itself is detrimental! It is wise to know when we are fertile and/or ovulating but I do think we need to step back now and again and take a deep breath. We are MADE to be mums we deserve to be happy while trying to become them 😊 so cheesy as it sounds, and I hope I'm not coming across condescending or patronising but give yourself some time to wallow and then open those legs again (the baby-making version of 'get back on the horse' lol) and enjoy it 😍xx
