Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Takeaways galore sounds AMAZING!

Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 20:10

Wow MrsJ - DH must think it's Christmas!! You are motivated!!

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 19:53

The only thing that might interrupt progress is my diet. Having just moved into the new house it's been takeaway galore!!!

Claire - only just seen your post below!!! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Haha Misty my DH is a doctor so if he can't handle that then I think he's in the wrong profession Grin. Saying that he does always say obs and gynae is the last specialty he'd ever consider! I'm with you though I couldn't go prodding around to check myself, I'm far too squeamish for that!

Blimey mrsj three times in one day! You definitely mean business this month, go you!

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 19:30

Sat here with my legs up. Third time of the day. Do not want to fail this month!

Christ that's some togetherness you've got there ttc 😂😂😂 my hubs loves my foof, but only what he can do with it 😂 if I mention anything coming out of it, he's likely to puke... he's not particularly sensitive about what goes on biologically with women lol and I've got to be honest, neither am I 🙈 the thought of poking around up there to check myself grosses me out lol. I have thought about a mooncup though... my period usually lasts 3 days, 4 at most and only 1st day is heavy, just over 1 tampon (I only wear a tampon in work and pad in evening and overnight) Rest of the days is still one tampon, and panty liner in evening and overnight. Is there a flow limit/minimum for the cups?x

ttcnovice · 12/02/2017 19:01

On the topic of CM - I got DH to have a little look up there with his phone torch last month Blush. I wasn't sure if I even produce any because I've never noticed it before. He said he could see some up there though so the weirdness of it was all for a good cause Grin.

ttcnovice · 12/02/2017 18:59

Ahh claire fingers crossed! It would be such fab news if it is a BFP for you!

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 18:17

I do notice my cervical fluid. Usually first thing in the morning after my run. I am certainly not putting my fingers inside of me!! Freaks me out...gives me the shivers.

Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 17:35

Misty - I rarely notice ewcm either but like you I'm not looking in great detail. If by end of April I'm not pg then maybe I'll look into it a bit more. That would be 6 months ttc for me.

88claire · 12/02/2017 16:12

Thanks ladies.

Still kicking myself for giving up so early on not testing.

Also were supposed to be going out for drinks tonight and me and OH are both off work. So not sure what to do now! I haven't told him yet....

Misty

I use my menstrual cup to monitor CM which probably isn't entirely accurate but I think if it's there it's there and the body is producing it! Good luck for your fertile week!

Twisted

Good luck to you too!!

Fx for everyone waiting in the two week wait and coming into the FW!

MistyBxx · 12/02/2017 16:04

Me too! That's what I'm hoping anyway lol. I need to keep stocking up though as I'm on day 1 of fw lol. But even if I fill myself up, without ewcm, they won't last up there will they. And in regards to ewcm, does it have to be there when I pee and wipe? Or could it still be in there even though it's not coming out? Coz I've gotta be honest, I haven't ever stuck my fingers up there and done that pinching it between my fingers thing to see what's up there lol. So could I still be producing it even if it doesn't drip out? (only on one cycle have I ever gone for a pee only to feel something hanging down (gross I know, sorry) to look down and see actual stretchy egg white just dangling there (tmi!) rest of the time, I've never noticed it 😂

Claire I've got my fingers firmly crossed for you chick, it's a squinter but give it a couple more days!!🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

As for poas myself, I've just gone out and bought 20 opk cheap sticks. They were right next to the pg tests but I have NOT bought any of them! This cycle I refuse to test til af is late and that means having none in the house! Well I have one but it's an expensive one so not wasting it on my bloody symptom spotting haha x

Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 15:22

I read that too MrsJ.

Oooh claire fx for you xxx

88claire · 12/02/2017 15:16

I'm officially an idiot. STUPIDLY tested at 8/9dpo and got a line. It's very faint but I did it and had a bath so have no idea how long it had been there!

I'm putting it down to an evap.

That's it. Anything peeable is locked away for 4 days!

TTC - First time!
mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 14:45

I hate sleeping with it in and always inevitably get up in the night to wipe it out. Too wet and slimy for my comfort!

Read today that sperm can live for 7 days inside of you. Have DTD twice today. On top of everyday since Monday I must be seriously loaded up!!

OP posts:
Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 13:08

It is so nice to hear like minded people say what I'm thinking though!! 😂😂

MistyBxx · 12/02/2017 12:39

Hopefully! I have read that too! And I've always been a straight for a wipe kinda girl lol 😂 I prefer doing it in the night so I can sleep then and not think about it, in the morning I'm lying there thinking "swim! swim for your life lil fellas!!" Hahaha. Honestly we must be crazy what goes through our heads.x

Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 12:23

Yes I hate that too misty. But it's a hard habit to break as I've always gone to clean up afterwards. Not like straight away but always within 30 mins. Hopefully what MrsJ has read is correct.

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 12:15

Yes I do too. However - that's just all the mucus that the sperm live in. You should remind yourself that the sperm has actually already left the goo and gone where it needs to go. At least, that's what everything I've read says... My pregnant friend says she always went to the toilet immediately afterwards. 🙄

I went to loo straight after for all the previous cycles. This month I've DTD everyday and left it in for hours. Not risking anything!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 12/02/2017 12:03

So my fw according to Clue started today so dtd this morning. Didn't lie down for long afterwards, about 15 mins bum up on cushion but went for a wee after and lots fell out 😩 does anyone else feel horrible seeing it disappear down the loo?? Arghhh 🙈x

Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 11:13

Sounds like a plan & I am doing the same. Fx for us all x

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 09:26

What's the truth is right twisted! I have 5 different apps I use to hone in on FW. 2 say I start tomorrow. 1 says I start today. And 2 insist it's Wednesday. So what's the truth? I don't know. But I'll be DTD everyday anyway!!

OP posts:
Twistedsister7 · 11/02/2017 21:24

Obviously the advice varies depending on who you see. It's so frustrating for all of us ttc. What's the truth? I guess it is impossible to say but gah, I don't know what to think.

Just keep dtd I guess. I think if I get to six months I might make an appt & ask more questions. I have other health issues which will perhaps be affecting me. Although family planning nurse wasn't overly concerned. However my diabetes nurse wasn't impressed when I mentioned we were ttc.

The way I see it we may as well start trying but I am making valid steps in controlling my diabetes & would continue to do so should I become pregnant. There would never be a right time if you considered all life factors!

MistyBxx · 11/02/2017 19:18

Twisted I'm 32 and my hubs is 36 😂

Well I was told the opposite! Last went to docs last year and told her I was getting married in sept so was going to come off the pill in Aug to let it come out my system before sept. She advised against it and said I should keep taking it right up until my wedding day because her very words were "you'll be at your most fertile as soon as you stop taking the pill so don't risk it if you want to wait til you're married."
I took the pill til my last pack finished the last week of Aug and then just never started a new pack in sept and got married then.
So with what she said, I honestly didn't think I even needed to "try" at all, we had lots of sexy time over the wedding and honeymoon and it was only in Nov after another af I started thinking hmmm maybe it's not that easy after all!

mrsjkerry · 11/02/2017 19:15

I am 25, so young enough. Husband is 40. So could be him 😄
