rahrah - for you a new thread!

OP posts:
ammylovesolivia · 17/02/2007 19:38

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm not ttc at the mo- just learning!!

I'm not stressing but I am excited!! I suppose because I'm not ttc at the mo I just want to learn about my cycle a bit more for when the time is right (summer). I just cannot wait to see the hike- wish it would come!!

Thanks again guys, I'm sure I'll pop in reguarly with odd questions

rahrah1 · 17/02/2007 19:27

Any one seen MrsMcJnr....MrsMcJnr...MrsMcJnr??

fettle · 17/02/2007 19:17

Mum03 - sounds hopeful, but don't be too overly positive, until you've done a test. As people have said it is possible to have high temps during AF and to have odd AF's, but I do so hope you are right!! I really felt hopeful for you, so maybe it is not all over!!

Glad everyone on here seems to be being quite positive at the moment - I do like this thread, and we do seem to be having quite a high success rate at the moment - keep it up!!

Greedy, been thinking about you a lot - I hope you are ok? Monday is not long now.

Thanks for worrying about me everyone, I seriously am fine, just not very full of beans - probably did feel like this when pg with DD, but didn't have DD to deal with then! and DH was living in Northern Ireland, so I was alone in the evenings and able to just go to bed, so I don't suppose I notice the first few weeks go by!!

Ready, you are definitely not cold-hearted bitch - almost the complete opposite - also don't focus too hard on OPK's - I've not yet heard someone say they are reliable - all I've heard is waste of money in relation to them. the salivoscope thingy is supposed to be better, but you've managed to get MrsMc to sell hers to Rah!!!

Ammy, I have heard other people say that OPK and temp charting can delay ov, but as ready said, I'd say it is over-stressing about TTC that could have an effect on ov, rather than actually taking your temp. If you find yourself stressing about it, then it is probably not for you, but I think once you're in the habit of it, it will become second nature and you won't think about it. as I'm not allowed to the pill, have a phobia about IUDs, I'm thinking of using temping/charting as a form of contraception, once I finally manage to have my babies!!

take care all
xx

angelfire777 · 17/02/2007 18:47

Seaside thanks for your reply, I am glad its just not me that would find this confusing!

Ready. I hope you get a line again tomorrow. I have no idea what could be going on as I havent used opk's before but keeping my fingers crossed for you to ovulate. At 5am my temp was 36.16 pre adjustment. And at 9am preadjustment was 36.27.

Ready · 17/02/2007 17:24

Oh, and no line at all on the OPK just now. A little confusing since I have had 3 days of faint lines. We'll see what the temps bring over the next few days... could this be annovulation?? Bad timing if it is

I am going to get all spruced up for my meal out now, hope everyone is having a great saturday??

Ready · 17/02/2007 17:18

The adjustment guide is just that really, a guide. Some people find that their temperatures do not change much, or some more so, and so can't rely on adjustment. What was your temp at 5am pre adjusment??

Try not to worry

seaside72 · 17/02/2007 15:53

Hi angel - I would prob go with the first temp (5am) but then 2nd temp looks more in line with yesterdays temp I defer to the more experienced - lottie, ready etc!

Rahrah - 36.7 CD27 9DPO (3rd cycle ttc)
Honeyapple - 36.7 cd29 14DPO BFP! (6th cycle ttc)

Hello everyone!!!!

Didnt have a good morn with temps. My usual temp time is 8am but woke up at 5am and because of the 3hrs needed to take basal temp decided to take it.
It was 36.44 (after adjustmentfor the 3 hrs). Then I thought I would have a lie in and didnt set the clock and woke at 9am and took it and then did the adjustment and it was 36.16. I have done all the correct adjustments that they say but the temps are vastly different!!!!!!!!! Very confused. How can I be sure I am getting the correct temp?????? Any ideas as to which one to use?

rahrah1 · 17/02/2007 13:47

If any one sees MrsMcJnr...MrsMcJnr....MrsMcJnr...MrsMcJnr

Can you send her my email address, as per below... Or tell her I was trying to contact her but have not signed up to CAT.. will sign up if she insists, but won't use it really.

Thanks All

rahrah1 · 17/02/2007 13:44

I agree with that!

seaside72 · 17/02/2007 13:42

Why oh why are PMS/AF symptoms so similar to poss BFP symptoms? - why couldn't it be that if you were BFP you would be insanely happy, pain free bouncing boobs, full of energy etc Its God playing another cruel trick on us!

rahrah1 · 17/02/2007 13:41

But if I did ovulate on the CD16.. means my body is going back nearer normal cycles for me... Just concerned with lack of CM.. so will buy up the grapefruit juice at my local supermarket!

rahrah1 · 17/02/2007 13:39

I am getting cramping and sore boobs... Therefore think period is due in next couple of days which does co inside with FF chart now.
I feel really emotional too... also another strong indication... I am pissed off already and its not even here!

seaside72 · 17/02/2007 13:38

Dont worry Ready - I a sure FF got it wrong anyway!! - I think I ovd CD13, but hey ho!
I have always been annoyingly textbook - in all my 11 TTC cycle ( yes count them 11 !!! ) apart from the fact that my cycle length seems to fluctuate a bit (shortest 24 days - longest 31 days).

Ready · 17/02/2007 13:34

crossed posts with you there seaside... I wondered why you hadn't told me off for teasing you

seaside72 · 17/02/2007 13:27

Weepootleflump - sorry about AF - but bring on another month of charting! Was saying to mum03 earlier - I have been studying my TCOYF book for the past 24 hours and it seems that some peoples temps don't drop immediately on CD1 but can drop more gradually - staying higher than coverline for quite a few days

Oh Ready - we don't think you are a cold hearted bitch at all!!! - totally the opposite always kind and helpful with good solid advice - much appreciated!

I have just added my Fertility Friend chart to the chart spotters thread. Have a good oggle!!
Rahrah - well done on posting your chart too

I am feeling OK about TTC - trying to occupy myself with positive action - off to see GP (again) on Monday - 12 months TTC and 16 months after coming off pill - hopefully he will start some tests - cunningly I have made the app for CD21 so am going to demand blood test to confirm I have ovd for sure. If he says no - I may stage a sit in!!
Then monday afternoon I am off for cranio-sacral therapy (which has always helped me in the past with a multitude of issues from bad back to IBS)
I am also ten days into my Natural health docs new tablet regime - 12 massive horse pills a day (bleurghhh)

Can you tell I am getting impatient now - I think it might be cos my best friend just told me she has started TTC this month and I just know she will be calling soon with a BFP - which will be so amazing but I will be not to be preg with her and I know she will be reluctant to tell me as she knows we have been TCC for a while.

Anyway- still trying to be + temp is up - (lottie you are hot too - yay!) but not sure if that may be cos I can feel a horrid cold arriving - bit snuffly, throat tightening up and feeling nauseous - why do I only get sick in the 2ww when I don't dare take anything???- then AF arrives and I am so as could have popped all the pills and felt better way sooner!

Ho hum- sorry for the essay!!

Ready · 17/02/2007 13:26

Oh and I just wanted to tease Seaside (in the nicest sense!) for having a textbook cycle... OV on CD14 - get you!! Fingers crossed for a BFP at the end of it!! Well, a week after

Ready · 17/02/2007 13:24

That's better Thank you for indulging me mum03!

Not sure which is worse period pain or MIL?? Actually... period pain goes away quickly with paracetomol... so much easier to tolerate I feel for you weepootleflump ((hugs))

Rahrah, FF puts your ov at cd16, so I was only 1/2 days out are you happy with the earlier ov date??

What a glorious day it is!! Off out for a chinese tonight, treat night.

mum03 · 17/02/2007 13:06

Weepootle - sorry to hear that aunt flo arrived with your mother-in-law! But can you be my cycle buddy this month? . I was feeling all lonely on cd1 with honey going pg on us all!!!! My temp didn't go down immediately either, but as we were discussing earlier, it can take a while. Still here's hoping our next cycle is the last one for a while

Ready - Whoops missed that one! so here we go - no ready you are not a cold-hearted b-, is that clear enough or do you want me to shout it louder? Or perhaps we should all say we love you ready !!!!

OP posts:
weepootleflump · 17/02/2007 12:55

Weepootleflump - 36.96 CD1 (4th cycle ttc)
Mum03 - 36.7 cd3 (3rd cycle ttc)
Angelfire - tbc CD11 (2nd cycle ttc)
Ready - 36.17 CD15 (6th cycle ttc)
Iwillbepg - tbc CD15 (9th cycle ttc)

Seaside72 - 36.89 CD19 6DPO (11th cycle ttc)

Rahrah - 36.7 CD27 9DPO (3rd cycle ttc)
Honeyapple - 36.7 cd29 14DPO BFP! (6th cycle ttc)

Hi everyone, I'm afraid I'm not able to get on much as I've got MIL staying for a week ! Which is partly why I haven't been too happy but since AF came this morning I realised it was probably a bit of pmt as well. Don't quite understand why I haven't had a temp drop though?

Don't really know what's going on with my cycle atm - it seems to be getting shorter every month. Once MIL goes home and things get back to normal I'm going to look at starting a chart, so I'll pick your brains later.

Hope everyone else is OK. Will catch up properly later.

OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Just noticed honeyapple's BFP!! CONGRATULATIONS

This is brilliant thread - it gives me such a lift to see the BFPs. Keep them coming, hopefully you'll be next Rahrah.

rahrah1 · 17/02/2007 12:18

I have post my chart on the other chart watchers thread...

Ready · 17/02/2007 12:16

Afternoon ladies! I am still waiting for the positive on my opk, the line was darker yesterday, but still not close to the control, so we shall see what this afternoon brings. I take it from the lack of responses to my comment about being a cold-hearted bitch that you all do think that of me. So I am going to do what I can to change that!!

Minxi, fingers crossed cycle bud, it would be great to graduate together I suspect you would test earlier than I would though?

Angelfire, Hope all is well?

Ammy, I don't think that temping and OPKs can delay ovulation. However, if you are stressing yourself out about it all, that can affect ovulation. I do think that if you are having EWCM, then you should start to see a rise soon. Some women don't have a temp hike either, so don't expect it to shoot right up, some temps just rise more gradually. until you have a completed chart to peruse, then please don't worry about it.

Lottie, finger crossed for you, your warmer temp is a good sign!!

Mum03, That ClearBlueFairy made you spill all your wee Like I said, on this occasion, I would say it is ok to test, just to take away any uncertainty. Whatever happens, we are all here for you. I am still waiting for my brokers commission!! I've been so busy these last couple of days, which has been good for not thinking about ttc!! Oh, and apparently you can only make your photos available to mumsnet mates only, not your profile. Which is a shame. I knew I hadn't dreamt the facility up completely

Honeyapple, if you try to leave, there may be some kind of hostage situation

Rahrah, I'd say go for it with the faint positives, just to see what the chart looks like when you do. Or even, take that option out as if you weren't using them, and see what happens on temps alone?? Let us know.

Seaside72, how's it all going?? feeling positive still?? fingers crossed!!!

Greedy, I love the zoo.. Chester zoo is my fave, went there about a month ago (I know, sad, we have no children, and no excuse to go!) and there was a teeny baby elephant (I say teeny, he was still bigger than a great dane!!) SOOOO cute though.

Weepootlegflump, another high temp?? Hopre you are feeling calmer. Everything ok??

Iwillbepgbydec07, you are quiet?? Is all ok??

x

greedyforbabies - lol about the email address and Viagra... but ummm might be fun..
How do I post my chart on there then?

londonlottie - yep I brought 50 for £11 off ebay... so ultra cheap! The previous month I had no idea when I would be ovulating and brought 5 for £20 and ran out before I did.. typical... so though if I brought loads I could test twice a day.
