Does TCOYF allow you to put previous cycles in??

Ready · 18/02/2007 16:17

Thanks for doing that for me Lottie. I think I am definitely going to have to get the TCOYF software. Maybe before the end of this current cycle.

So CD14 huh. CF was creamy on 12 and 13, and I had EW on 14 and 15 then nothing noticeable on 16. We had sex on 8, 10, 14,15,16,19,26. Clearly not enough

That month I had written OV as CD15 because of the temp dip on 14... what a tool I am.

Lottie, thanks for info on TCOYF and FF.
Seaside your dads a musician? cool! what does he play? I bet you do have healing hands. The only thing that stops people usually is that they have doubts in their ability!! i would also like your cranio-sacral therapists address please as mine moved abroad and I have been looking for one. Oh I so love the sychronicity of the whole cranial thing! . I am on Mac too, so it will have to be FF then. Just had a look and it looks so complicated!!!!!

I think Lotties is right Ready. Its a positive thing to learn as you can now take control and do something about it. Easier said then done the whole relax and it will just happen thing though and I dont think you are a control freak about it. I once heard a brilliant thing that I try and live my life by it was, " you need to try and knock on all the doors but dont kick them down". This means to me that you try everything possible but when you have done that you need to sit back and trust a little.Does that make any sense? I also add a little bit on of my own which is have a little peek through the letterbox - but that is because I am so nosey!!!!!

seaside72 · 18/02/2007 15:16

Oh go on Ready - it will be good practice for TCOYF - then you can join us on the chartspotters thread too!!

I am angry at myself for being such a dufus really!! Just told DH that we may have been slowing the pace too early, told him we had to do it every day for the next 3 days, he seemed pleased by the latter comment

Lottie, you are right, it had made me realise I was making the chart look like I thought it should, not how it actually did (if that makes sense?)... So the OPKs were not a total disaster, although, shouldn't I have got a +ve yesterday if OV today??

Seaside, I do love my little booklet I said all along that I would get the TCOYF software if not successful after 6 months.

seaside72 · 18/02/2007 14:41

Me again - Ready why dont you put your info into Fertility Friend - thats what I did yesterday (yes I was bored!!) - I think you have the boots chart and thermom like me - I just transposed my little booklet into FF - granted - I only put in this cycle - but it was satisfying - (I am still keeping my little booklet going!)

Ready · 18/02/2007 14:36

Minxi, I really wish I could just forget about it, especially considering how useless I seem to be at interpreting my own chart last month. My mum keeps telling me I need to relax and it will happen, and I know she is right, but I feel that if I don't chart, and think about ttc, then I will feel like I haven't done enough to be proactive and how can I possibly expect results without action. Does that make any sense at all?? Or does it just make me sound like a control freak? I am, though

seaside72 · 18/02/2007 14:35

I think you can put past cycles in to FF? - when you start if you go back to the month you want to begin with then you can input alll the info.

I would have gone with TCOYF software but it is not mac compatible

FF is free for basic membership - and then costs for the VIP options - if you are going to pay it looks like TCOYF is way better value

seaside72 · 18/02/2007 14:31

angelfire - wow - healing how intersting - I have always thought I might get into massage or something one day - my Dad is a professional musician and used to swear I had healing hands whenever he had a headache or shoulder pain. (but then he is my Dad!!!)

lottie- yes I would thoroughly recommend my cranio-sacral therpaist she is the best I think - the only thing is she now works out of Harley Street (used to be SW15 when saw her -much more convenient) and has Harley Street prices (£70 a session ) to match?! But if you want to give it a go I will give you the details - I have sent many other friends there and most have been thrilled with the results.

Thanks for the link to the chartspotters thread! have posted on there now too!! - Now I understand the 2 threads!

rahrah - I would def give it a try for the IBS if nothing else - it totally worked for me ( although you have to get over the embarassing sounds that will emit from your stomach, intestines, etc while they work on you - at first I was hideously but soon got over it - when my therapist explained it was all the organs trying to get back in the right places and release/relax.) That is mainly why I am trying to go again now - I have had first IBS symptoms in years last month and think it may be due to TTC stress - so want to get rid of it and hopefully the therapist can have a go at my ovaries too!!

Ready · 18/02/2007 14:30

Lottie, I think you are on to something, I have been looking back at my charts (I wish they were online now, so I could get a second opinion) but it is possible that I have ovulated on CD16 on a couple of other cycles. So it's very possible that we have been concentrating a little too early
Last month for example I thought ov was on cd15, but now I think I was concentrating on the previous chart, pains and EWCM more than the current temps. And while we had sex on CD16 we didn't have it again until CD19, so if we'd perhaps got one in on CD17 it might have made a difference?????
Same with the cycle before, on CD14 I had EW and on CD15 a temp hike above my coverline so thought it was ovulation on CD14, then it dipped a little on CD16 (still above coverline) and hiked again on CD17 (are you still with me ) and again we did have sex on CD16 but then not til CD20... I have drawn in a higher coverline which makes ovulation on CD16 more likely
The 2 cycles before I am certain I ovulated on CD15.

Sorry for the waffle but I am so

Mum03, you certainly made me giggle!! Thanks for that, I needed a pick me up today

Rahrah, "...but honest" not sure whether that is a good thing. I hope so. I am certain that you will make a wonderful mother!!

angelfire777 · 18/02/2007 14:13

P.S. Can you put in past cycle?

angelfire777 · 18/02/2007 14:13

lottie how much does FF cost?

minxi · 18/02/2007 14:06

Lottie - I too am feeling rather rubbish but had lovely evening out with Dh then had to rummage around in bag to throw any money at the babysitter - can't be sure what I said to her but think she's probably used to drunken mothers [naughty]!!

Ready - don't give up...it took me 9 months with DS1 and 11 months with DS2 to conceive! plus my dh worked away (same as now actually) I didn't do any opk's temps or anything just forgot about it

DS1 was a honeymoon baby - went away for 3 weeks and that was when it was - with DS2 I had just got back from Australia with DS1 and without DH and fell the weekend I got back... just forgot about dates etc!

this time (to have 3rd and final - am I mad) I have actually been trying for 25 months but took 18 months off that as think thats how long it took me to get depo out of system and now I am obsessing with charts and god knows what else!! My dh thinks I am mad and thinks we just need more bd ! away in April so maybe thats when it will be .....

keep with it and just relax
