MUM03, Like I said on an earlier post only 51% of women can detect pregnancy up to 4 days prior to AF due date. It's says it on the advert so must be right! I had a test at the hospital when I was expecting Bertie, did not know at the time and it was negative. So it just does not work on every pregnancy. I would take it that your not pregnant, so you don't do any more tests, but then if your period is late...well I would go test crazy!
Sorry you did not just get your BFP.. It's not fair.. Stamp Feet

Morning!
I have removed the bfn from the list Mum03- we really dont need to keep looking at it! Far too early days IMO.
My temps possibly on a downward trend...
hope tommorrow they will stick at 36.7 and no descend further. TBH we did no shag nearly as much as I would have liked. One more go next month for a late November baby, then I'm going to put my TTC boots up for 2 months. (or so i say now!!)

weepootleflump · 14/02/2007 07:55

Mum03 - for your bfn, but early days yet - hope early testing just doesn't work for you.

Can anyone help with disturbed readings... This morning I woke up an hour earlier than normal and didn't think I'd get back to sleep, so took temperature- it was 36.88. I did end up falling asleep again and woke up at normal time, took temp and it was 36.55. I have gone with the first temp as it is in line with the first few I had PO (my last couple have been disturbed readings. Have I done the right thing? Hope this makes some sort of sense!

Thanks MUM03... Will be testing soon.. YAY! Good luck!

mum03 · 13/02/2007 22:42

Yay rahrah! I knew you would try and catch me up soon in dpo... 5 dpo already, wow you are almost half way through the 2ww and you didn't even know it!

I have not decided when to test yet, I may have a moment of weakness when I get up in the morning, but maybe not... it is a bit early yet as fertility friend says I will only be 11 dpo tomorrow, 3 whole days before af due to arrive. I was hoping that honey would crack and test first, but it looks like honey is made of stronger willpower than me. Perhaps I will be good and wait til Saturday when af is due. Then I can do the test and af will feel free to arrive immediately! (or maybe not???)

I better go to bed or I will be wrecked in the morning. Night all....

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:54

THANKS READY>.... You are a STAR!!! I feel so much better already!

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:51

that should have been "Rahrah's chart" to emphasise that I wrote that. V tired. Must go and get in my PJs. x

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:49

How mental is this, I have written Rahrah's chart on the page so I don't forget it's not me - if my dh looks at it, he may just think I have cracked up

I think your temps definitely show ovulation Rahrah The only reason I thought 17 was because of the pre-ov dip really, and I am not experienced enough yet to be certain. But then I do think it would have been late on 17 so that is still within the egg life window for sex on 18.

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:41

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO.... I have ovulated then !!!!!!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO.....

Thanks Ready!!!!!!!!!!! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! !!

I'm So much happier now!

We had sex on CD18 so hopefully thats when I ovulated...

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:33

So 17 or 18... which gives the egg plenty of time to get fertilised and implant itself Fingers crossed for you xx

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:31

Ok... I am by no means right. But... I have sat here like a nerd, and drawn out your chart on a spare page in my booklet and to me it looks like you ovulated on CD17 or CD18.

I have drawn your coverline at 36.4 (using the instructions in my book, not sure if it would be the same with TCOYF??) The temp dip on 16 and 17 look like possible pre-ovulation dips, then a dramatic hike on 19. I think more likely ovulation on late on cd17 and then the hormone wouldn't have released enough to make your temp rise as much as you see on 19 (am I making any sense?? - hope so)

I think you should ignore your temp on cd21 as it dips below the coverline, but that could have been for any number of reasons, so best to ignore it, mark as a disturbance perhaps??

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:24

Which was CD17

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:24

We got there on the 7th... it was boiling..

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:21

what day did you go away again?? cos you said the house was warmer??

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:14

These are my temps... If someone can work it out I would be grateful, i don't have a clue from the temps:

CD Temp Date

1 36.2 22/01
2 36.9 23
3 36.4 24
4 36.4 25
5 36.3 26
6 36.1 27
7 36.2 28
8 36 29
9 36.2 30
10 36.3 31
11 36.3 1
12 36.3 2
13 36.3 3
14 36.3 4
15 35.9 5
16 35.8 6
17 36.1 7
18 36.2 8
19 36.6 9
20 36.5 10
21 36.3 11
22 36.5 12
23 36.7 13

It could of been CD18???with the temp hike CD19?? What do you think? Had two very low temps on day CD15 & 16
We had sex on CD15, and that is when I saw faint lines on OPK. and had sex on CD18

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:01

I will work it out and get back to you.

Ready · 13/02/2007 20:47

I agree with Honeyapple , 36.7 is a good-looking temp considering your lower temps RahRah. A good sign hopefully

honeyapple · 13/02/2007 20:09

36.7 seems a pretty good high temp to me rahrah... especially seeing how COLD you've been.

honeyapple · 13/02/2007 20:08

I didnt get much action this month either Rahrah- only a couple of hits during "fertile period"... DP was too bloody drunk at perfect moment.... however, i know from experience that frequency dont always mean a BFP/ and vice versa...
so how many days post OV do you reckon you are?

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 20:01

Also I think it was around the time we were about to go to Wales and DH was 2 tired the night before and the night after... That was 2 days of not doing it around ovulation... Damn the husband!

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 19:59

OK... I think maybe I ovulated quite a few days ago then. I got faint lines..... I am really pee'd off as been weeing on those sticks every five minutes and every time they were negative I got upset! Any positive test will do me at the moment!!! It would make sense more than ovulating even later this month and I got a higher temps form about 5 days ago... but not dramatically. I also did not get any ovulation pain this month... but it could of come down a different tube??? I also did not get any eggie CM..maybe I just wasn't overly fertile this month. But fortuantly all my hormones were tested this month, so if there is anything wrong they should be able to tell.

I telephoned the clinic yesterday, as the tests I had today were only part of many he did (I think he did them to shut me up!) They said that they will only contact me if there is something wrong. But I think I will get my bereavement midwife to check for me..as it will wind me up not getting definite confirmation... IYKWIM...

fettle · 13/02/2007 19:45

Hello!!

temp drops tend to happen on day of red bleeding for me, so I have a couple of days spotting with high temps, then a drop on what I count as CD1.

If you can last to 18DPO with 18 high temps, you won't need to test, as you are officically pg according to TCOYF!!! Therefore, I would test a few days earlier myself - sorry Ready!! but having said that, in a way it is better to find out later on in pg, as if you find out before you are even 4 weeks, the first 12 weeks lasts forever!!! With DD, I didn't test until 21DPO (don't ask me why I didn't notice that I'd had high temps for that long, but I'd had spotting for 2 weeks, so just thought I was having a weird period!)

Anyway, fingers still crossed Mum and Honey - no temp buddies thread over there, but is a TTC graduates thread that we are all on - we'll save some space for you all!!! Won't be long til you are all with us.

Lottie, sorry to hear you are not doing well - DP/DH's don't half choose their moments do they? I hope you are having a better evening?

Take care all - got to check on supper.
x
