Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Mouse I'm so sorry, thinking of you Flowers

Mrs hope AF cramps do one & you feel better soon Chocolate

Jem FX for you hearing some reassuring news tomorrow. Ridiculous to leave you with that message & you were supposed to wait until next week btw.

Made the mistake of checking the polls, so close right now... feel really nervous. We'd better wake up to some good news.

MouseLove · 08/11/2016 22:38

London I'm the same, I keep thinking I'll wake up and everything will be ok haha. But then I remember brexit. Grin

Let's hope the buffoon with the combover has to eat humble pie.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. You guys are seriously awesome. X Flowers

Musicgrrl · 08/11/2016 22:28

Jem yes, scared to go to sleep! Eugh. Also - great news re DH's SA and I'm sure your blood work is nothing to worry about. Great that you can find out more tomorrow. Keep us informed! I did a bit of a Google and found something that said vitamin b6 keeps prolactin levels down. I wonder if that's why people take it for luteal phase defect!

mouse so sorry to hear about your uncle. Glad your DH is okay but what a stressful time Flowers

mrs sorry that it's a bad AF. Good evening for a hot water bottle

LondonJem · 08/11/2016 22:20

Anyone else scared about what news we will wake up to? I feel like I don't want to go to sleep Confused

LondonJem · 08/11/2016 22:09

It was the receptionist so couldn't get any more info. I called back and got a telephone appointment tomorrow with another doctor so at least will find out more soon. Eurgh been very emotional today had a full melt down at DH told him I'd had enough of the whole sodding thing Sad

Kwick we're moving up to palmers green / Winchester hill. Priced out of this neck of the woods! Sorry you didn't have more growth, is it back to the whole milk? Is there anything else you can do? 3 OPK s a day should cover you I reckon

Penguin I've just bought soft cups! Planning to use them for AF and for TTC next cycle

Hi Alice Brighton is a great goal to work towards. I need to sign up for something..

Oh mouse what a day SadFlowers

HepKestrel · 08/11/2016 20:39

Flowers mouse

MrsG280516 · 08/11/2016 20:32

Oh Mouse what a truly shit day. I hope you're relaxing with chocolate and or wine! CakeWineChocolateFlowers

This AF is killing me, the cramps are soooo painful. I forgot to pick up co-codamol at the weekend and now I'm also out of ibuprofen. Paracetamol on its own just does nothing for me! I've resorted to the hot water bottle tonight, poor DH didn't know what to do when I was practically keeled over in the kitchen when he got home.

Binkybunny13 · 08/11/2016 20:02

So sorry mouse- what an awful day. Looking forward to Rome sounds like a great idea Flowers

MouseLove · 08/11/2016 19:50

A little update. So I think AF is coming to an end. CD4 today and I was really light.

Unfortunately Saturday my uncle passed away. I've decided not to go to the funeral as it's a burial and on the anniversary of my nannas funeral. I don't want anymore deaths this year. Sad

And this morning DH had a car accident. Some silly woman pulled across two lanes to leave a roundabout and went into the side of him. He's ok but shaken up badly. So I had to work from home today while I sorted everything out with the car.

Roll on next week when we can have some time away, hopefully ovulate and then have an Italian conception in Rome. (I can dream hey lol) Wink

How frustrating Jem but I doubt it's anything serious with Prolactin - and fab news the rest of the results were all good. Very annoying that you were left a cryptic message like that with no clarification though, and then have a week to wait. The doctor could have been a bit more sensitive to your needs there.
Amazing news about the house, that's really exciting! Best of luck with it.

Kwik I only OPK once a day until the line starts to get dark, usually in the evening around 7.30. Once it looks like a positive is on its way I'll do FMU, lunchtime/early afternoon and evening. All depending on where I am and what I'm doing of course.
What do you need to see on Friday for the cycle to stand a good chance of success?

Alice that's fab you're doing Brighton! Good luck with the training over winter - I have a lot of respect for anyone who manages that.
I have a 10k to do in a couple of weeks that I entered back in April and was pretty sure I would be pregnant by the time it came around. That's shown me, eh? Oh well, at least this sub-fertility is keeping me relatively fit.

Sorry you are still waiting for AF Hep Wine

New York sounds amazing MrsG! If you're not preggers by then I would highly recommend trying Mooncups or other similar products to make AF a MUCH easier experience. I thought they were hippy nonsense for years until I gave them a go a few months back and I haven't looked back. They made my holiday to Prague so much less faffy and I could forget all about AF for the entire day. I'm a total convert!

Sounds like you have done well this cycle Dixie and should be in with a good chance. Good luck!

Nicky883 · 08/11/2016 18:48

Jem i remeber that fishy was told she had high prolactin as well . Is one of the hormones that if its consistently high can itimpact ovulation but if the progesterone is fine ot means tou do ovulate

And now even instagram is taking the piss

kwick · 08/11/2016 17:20

music I am 42 therein lies the challengette Grin
How would NHS know you had gone private - the FC typically only contacts your GP if you get a BFP (well that is my experience)

Great work chat mrs well done!

hep how many weeks has it been? i had to wait 7 for my AF to show up after MC.

jem Angry this is so frustrating!!! WTF is prolactin?

Fricking racing to get home as need to be on work call in 10 mins... but do not want to be on train...

kwick · 08/11/2016 16:59

ej LSFX!!!

Day 12 scan showed only a 1mm growth... next scan friday cd15. Have been instructed to OPK - shall I do FMU, SMU and then in pm?

hep don't trust the boobs!!

mrs my FC count cd1 if AF comes before noon full flow.
Flowers

Oooh jem hope your offer is accepted!! Are you staying in tge same area?

AliceScarlett · 08/11/2016 13:34

Hello all,

Jem I had something similar, the receptionist said my 21 day bloods were "all fine" but as it turned out they were cd1 bloods as AF came that day.

If AF had come today I would have had bloods taken on the correct day but no AF or spotting so far, so that's another month to try and get the day right. DH is sending in his sample next week, his gp wants to see him about his low testosterone.

I'm just plodding along, slightly not caring now. I've signed up to run The Brighton Marathon for charity so my focus is more on that and Xmas and... Life, rather than this thing that ain't going to happen.

MrsG280516 · 08/11/2016 12:44

Jem was it just a receptionist that called you? The doc might want to speak to you for any number of reasons. If she said "normal" then I really wouldn't worry too much, they'd have waited for the doc before giving you the results if it was that serious Flowers

LondonJem · 08/11/2016 12:39

upside to AF in NYC would be the cocktails you can then get stuck into mrsg although yes lets hope you will be on virgin cocktails Smile

Test results - she said they are all normal. I said "phew". Then she said "The doctor would like to speak to you about the prolactin though".

WTF does that mean? My GP is not back in clinic until Monday so I have to wait.

Why say they are normal and then say you need to speak to the GP?

Feeling very frustrated and upset right now. Sodding cried at my desk when I got back upstairs too Sad

FXSkip · 08/11/2016 11:57

Hep still waiting for AF? bloody bodies eh.

MrsG that would suck, I hate being on holiday with AF as it really messes with me!! fx it doesn't come! The chat with your boss sounds amazing - I can't imagine that going down well where I am.

Dixie the fun cycles are the best ones Smile Keep it up! (wink wink)

geeup · 08/11/2016 11:15

PS sorry you're still waiting hep. You must be so frustrated. Have faith it'll all work itself out in the end and it's just your body getting healthy.

geeup · 08/11/2016 11:14

Music - I also don't believe that private tests have any impact on NHS eligibility - in fact it can speed you through the process to get referred to the NHS fertility specialist as you don't get slowed by the waiting list for each test. The only time it comes into play is in some areas a private IVF cycle can stop you getting a free NHS IVF cycle. Test away!

HepKestrel · 08/11/2016 10:28

jem no opk until AF appears...... still waiting. I have been longer on this thread without AF than with...

WingingIt83 · 08/11/2016 10:27

Sorry mrs Cake for you.

music appointment not booked yet, going to try and sort that today if poss and get something in so that hopefully they'll agree to take day 21 blood this cycle.

Looking forward to hearing about your results jem.

MrsG280516 · 08/11/2016 10:18

Thanks everyone. I'm not too disappointed really, more hopeful that a good "natural" AF will clear everything out and we'll have a better chance TTC this month. Although I just worked out that if I'm not pregnant by the time we go to NY in January then AF will be due slap bang in the middle of our trip, urgh.

I need a new computer at work and finally asked my boss about getting a laptop so I can work from home in future when I have a family and he was surprisingly on board. He suggested we have some meetings about how we would distribute my work amongst my team so we are prepared (I'm the company finance manager) so I feel happier knowing I won't have to sort it all out myself when the time comes!

LondonJem · 08/11/2016 08:58

Alexia I love waking up laughing Smile has your temp not come up then? I hope there's still time, and if not then the femara(?) will bring it on.

Dixie cannot count how many times I've seen bfps from women who say they only DTD once or twice in fertile week. You've got as much chance as the rest of us I reckon

Music we got DH sperm tested privately first - not a problem at all with GP. She ordered another on the NHS. Feel a bit sick about those results. Deep down I fear the low morphology reading is preventing it happening, and we will need IVF Sad

Musicgrrl · 08/11/2016 08:20

So sorry Alexia I guess it's possible that your body will try again. Or do you think you would need more Clomid for that? Are you on the doctors radar for this - I can't remember? At least you were having a good dream when you woke up!

kwik so did it come down to unexplained issues with doctors? I think there is much to be said for the natural way. I think a lot of us probably only need time to make it happen but it's something that none of us were educated about previously so it's not what we expect to happen!

Jem good luck with results today. I tried to do some reading around conceive plus or preseed but can't see much difference. Think I'll go with preseed. I swear a lot of those Amazon reviews must be fake. How can so many people have conceived on their first time using it after no success for months before? It can't be a miracle product! Good that you have a gynaecologist friend - I think we all need one of those! I won't be able to go to GP until I'm at 11 months ttc as had implant out a month before so can't pretend it has been any longer!

I am tempted by doing initial testing at a private clinic a bit earlier but I don't know how that clashes with NHS stuff. Do they block you from having NHS treatment if you have been somewhere like Create for early tests? Anyone got any experiences?

Dixiechick1991 · 08/11/2016 07:09

Hi inspector we've had a fun cycle shall we put it that way. I think im 3dpo today - I didn't OPK every day numerous times like last cycle but the day I actually remembered to I had a fairly dark like & the day after was my surge. Well done me for just doing it then! DH has been here a lot this month so we've DTD but I don't think we did it as much during fertile window, typical haha.
I'm just waiting now - see if AF comes on 5 days late with a vengeance like last month
