Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Evening folks. Hope you're feeling happy despite all this TTC distraction.

Congrats on AF Mouse, glad it wasn't a bad one and you're able to look forward to a proper cycle.

Crossing my fingers for you Jem. Remember that lots of ladies on here have had their BFPs with no discernable difference in symptoms from PMS.

Gee I can sympathise with your dilemma - it sounds like a bit of a head fuck but I'm sure you'll get it sorted. All sounds really exciting and positive for you.

Love the positivity Kwik, thanks for the pep talk! REALLY hope you get the right results tomorrow and this is the cycle for you. I'll be over the moon if you're in our grads list next month.

Hope you're feeling better Skipper. I'd definitely get shagging if you have EWCM. OPKs aren't the be all and end all and sometimes a surge can come out of the blue so you might as well load up with swimmers :)

I got my AMH blood results today (a measure of egg quantity) and it wasn't the best news. Typical levels are around 5-50 pmol and mine was over 100. Through the roof, basically, and means that despite there being lots of eggs I can't actually ovulate. I won't find out the reason, or what it means for TTC, until my appointment at the end of December but it's almost certain I can't conceive naturally :( IVF might also be ruled out due to risk of over simulation.

Dr Google suggests the most likely reason is severe PCOS but I don't have a single symptom so it would be really weird if that were the case. Hopefully my scan date will come through soon so that we can have a bit more clarity.

Oh well. After a few tears earlier I'm feeling fairly philosophical about it now and am determined not to let it stress me out. I am healthy and happy and that is the most important thing.

Onwards and upwards people!

WingingIt83 · 10/11/2016 19:25

Cd7 for me and this cycles method is the every other day right through. Whether we manage that remains to be seen!

Good news on temp alexia!

Hugs to you hep

kwick · 10/11/2016 19:01

Specially for you EJ - kwick's TOP TIPs:
From cd1 until ovulation - stay really hydrated and drink copious amounts of blue milk - my preference is for organic as pesticides get absorbed more readily through fat
From ovulation until end of TWW:
Desist copious milk drinking and return to normal levels
Eat lots of cayenne pepper
For first five days: buy a fresh pineapple, peel, divide into 5 and eat a fifth (including core) each day
Keep feet and kidneys warm at all times
Laugh a lot
PMA/visualisation
Take it easy
Grin

MouseLove · 10/11/2016 18:54

MrsG oh my hilarious!!!! GrinBlush you've given me total confidence then about the OPK haha

Starmist he's ok today, less shaken up and has gone back into work. Thank you for asking. X

FXSkip so sweet. Thank you. X

Kwick I might chant that as my mantra. I have a healthy womble. Grin

Geeup you have some pretty perfect charts right there. Wink

Well. AF is over. My first in 14 months. And my first "real" non pill proper all guns blazing AF in 13 years. It wasn't very guns blazing thankfully. No cramps and quite light. I feel great. Temps are still yoyo and I would expect that's due to my overactive thyroid that's low priority to be treated according to my doc. I'm at the rheumatoid specialist in a few weeks and DHs birthday trip to Rome to look forward to in a week!!!! I'm feeling quite relaxed about TTC and excited!

LondonJem · 10/11/2016 18:53

I'm 12 DPO music feeling like AF is coming. Funny tummy - non urgent diarrhoea back again! Windy, tummy ache, sore boobs, bit of lower back ache. Just same old really! Think it will be cycle 12 starting in a few days. Dear me Sad

Gee how about quite late tonight then Saturday morning? Is that what the doctor advised?

EJ2009 · 10/11/2016 18:31

Whats all this about warm feet. I thought id covered everything, good diet, no caffeine, yoga, sex, opks. I had no idea i should have worried about my feet!! Haha

geeup · 10/11/2016 18:15

Thanks everyone for your advice. Looking at the last few charts I temped, it looks like I get the surge 2 days before my temp rise so LH surge, then one more low temp, then temp rise the day after.
So guessing that today ie surge day is the day before I actually release the egg so O-1, I ovulate tomorrow and then temp rise the following day 1dpo confirms it... argh so confusing. All I know is I have ovulation pain right now!

kwick · 10/11/2016 18:05

hep sorry you have been depressed - I bet the weather and darkness does not help. Make sure you are getting plenty of vitamin D and be sure that your time is just around the corner. Flowers

mrs minimum before they will consider IUI is 16mm

geeup very interesting question... can only speak about my experiences, although I think the egg can last about 24 hours before losing ability to fertilise.
So my follicle must be at least 16mm, when I get the lh surge on an opk they usually tell me to inject a "trigger" that evenibg which helps ovulation on its way, then the IUI happens the next day. You are right - the magic potion is put right where it needs to be plus they "activate" it so it is a hive of activity going in! I have never had success with IUI but this is going to be my lucky time Grin
Thank you for all the bets - I shall report back tomorrow morning I am feeling like I have not had enough milk though

Glad you have thermal socks on now jem I will live in Uggs during 2ww

Lets all consider how lucky we are:
We are lovely, supportive and caring ladies
We are fertile, juicy and ripe Wink
We are ready to nuture a healthy happy baby in each and every one of our wombles
We know that we are in perfect time
We have abundant lives and are ready to share this joy

sk1pper · 10/11/2016 17:59

Kwick - I'm also going 16mm!

Hep - massive {hug} for you Hep, maybe it is early PMS and AF is round the corner. I hope so, then you can get on with trying again. Don't stop exercising, it was making you so focused and happy and it be good to get your body in tip top condition for when your baby comes along.

I'm CD15, should have ovulated CD14/15 but not even close to a positive opk yet on both my cheapies and my advanced clearblue. It's weird though (TMI alert) I've had the most pronounced egg-white CM that I've ever had and I'm discharging it too so there must be quite a lot of it. My apps literally don't have a clue what's going on, they show me as ovulating today even though I've put in a negative opk stat...urgh. Probably just as well, OH refused to BD with me last night because he said I looked like a snot gremlin. Whatever happened to "in sickness and in health"? We're saying our vows next year!

Musicgrrl · 10/11/2016 17:41

Hi all! Been a busy couple of days as am away for work at the moment. Thought it would be good for not thinking about ttc stuff but today I've been sat next to a pregnant lady, sigh. Also AF is still here on CD6! Seems to get longer each cycle. It's not particularly heavy it's just long lasting. I ov late too at around CD19. I'm hoping this is all within the realms of normal!

Alexia hoorah for temp rise! FX it behaves like a normal tww and you might still have had some spermies left up there from earlier dtd.

Jem what DPO are you on now? FX for you for lucky cycle 11!

AlexiaB · 10/11/2016 14:31

Kwick I bet 16mm Smile

OP posts:
AlexiaB · 10/11/2016 14:29

Gee I would dtd tonight because O-1 has better odds than O. Tricky though as it's against Drs orders. I guess it depends on how fast you typically O after a +ve opk.

Hep Flowers I wish it would hurry up! Endlessly waiting is the worst so I feel your pain.

Mrs yay for AF being over! Fx you O earlier this cycle.

Starmist Yes I've seen it. I didn't like it as much as other years but it's still lovely though!

It's exactly 3 months since I last ovulated last so I'm praying this temp shift is sustained tomorrow. I'm quietly confident. We'll see! Hope everyone is doing okay Flowers

HepKestrel · 10/11/2016 14:22

kwick i'll guess 15mm

LondonJem · 10/11/2016 12:31

kwick put me down for 19mm. Reckon that whole milk will be kicking in. I have also got my thermal socks on! My feet were freezing in that pic but I didn't have the heart to move the cat

glad to hear grumpy cat doing well hep I hope you are not waiting much longer, I would be out of patience by now you poor thing

My mood is a bit better today, which usually means progesterone is dropping and my period is on its way. Only got a couple of days to find out..

FXSkip · 10/11/2016 12:28

Hey hep don't beat yourself up about any of it. Have a shitty day (or three), drink some wine, eat the chocolate - but then leave behind and carry on. Thats what we do. Shit happens, AF happens (or doesn't), Trumps get elected, and we carry on regardless. My favourite thing to remember about being healthy is 'giving up on your goals is like slashing the other three tyres if you get one flat'.

mouse you've been in my thoughts today, I hope you guys are doing well :)

geeup I think DTD tonight IF you feel like its going to be fun, otherwise just wait and build up a little suspense. But then, I always have this vision about my fictional child asking about how they were made and me sadly reflecting on the time I forced lustless sex on to my unsuspecting OH because I was ov'ing. I know it will take longer if I wait for each time to be 'special' I just can't get this vision out of my head!

geeup · 10/11/2016 10:48

Hi all
Kwick I guess 17mm! Will that be enough?! I also have a question for you please? It looks like from your chart that they put your potion in the day after your LH surge - not same day? I had a scan yesterday and it showed 2 follies (am on clomid) about 15mm so not really big enough but hey ho. Doc said to DTD that night and then every 2 days (as he said if we did it every day the swimmers on 3rd attempt wouldn't be good enough) so we DTD last night as suggested. However, today I got a very very strong OPK in FMU so I feel like I should DTD when I get home so they are up there waiting for the egg. However, using your guide and my docs advice we should wait till tomorrow morning. What do you think? How do they decide when to put your potion in after your LH surge? Thanks and sorry for the ramble. Ps I guess we need to allow for swimmers to get through my cervix whereas yours get a helping hand via the catheta?

Starmist · 10/11/2016 10:15

How's MrMouse doing today?

Alexia that sounds promising, yay!

Oh Hep how frustrating, hurry up stupid AF AngryFlowers I'm off the exercise wagon too & healthy eating has gone out the window.

Have we all seen the John Lewis advert? It made me smile.

MrsG280516 · 10/11/2016 09:58

Hep sorry you've been down, hope things are on the up for you Flowers

Alexia yay, I hope your temp stays up!

kwick hmmm, I'm gonna guess 13mm, how big do they need to be?

FX anyone in the 2ww!

MrsG280516 · 10/11/2016 09:52

Mouse I took OPKs, vitamins and ahem... a small toy to Rome in carry on luggage. My case didn't get searched on the way there. It did get searched on the way back however and the Italian guy was feeling all through my dirty knickers to find the culprit Blush I think he felt it but had the decency not to pull it out of my case before zipping it back up and letting me go!

I imagine people take all sorts of things in their cases though, if you put everything in a little plastic bag then even if they do search then its easily located.

CD3 for me and AF has practically left the building, I feel totally normal again woohoo! Only one day medium flow and yesterday was fairly light, today is just a bit of spotting again. I reckon I might ovulate a bit earlier this month rather than CD17 like last month.

HepKestrel · 10/11/2016 09:31

Hi all, how is everyone doing? Sorry i've been failing to keep up with this thread recently. Have been quite down/depressed recently (i don't know if hormonal or not), but am now starting to symptom spot..... still boob poking. and getting paranoid that my bra is becoming uncomfortable again? (however resting heart rate is still low, so hopefully AF on the way ? seriously could she not just get a taxi and hurry the fuck up ?)

Have completely fallen off the exercise wagon. will get back to it after work trip next week. And my house has the builders in, so much chaos. But GrumpyOldCat is doing very well, and not bothered by them, other than to check up on them every now and then.

LSFX and also and FlowersChocolate to all.

kwick · 10/11/2016 08:22

jem it is freezing - how can you not wear socks!! remember we need to keep our feet and kidneys warm!! Grin

Sorry mouse I usually check my luggage for this very reason.

So very sorry I did not give sufficient chart reading instructions:
Top row cycle days; each row below gives treatment type IUI/IVF and then size if doninant follicle for the cycle days I had a scan; shaded area indicates lh surge and IUI in a circle is when I had procedure if magic potion into womble.
I am still taking bets for this IUI (last row) Grin

AlexiaB · 10/11/2016 07:09

I think I've ovulated Grin My temp shot up to 36.52 today! I'm still really sick (no fever) so we didn't get to BD again but I don't mind.

Mouse no I haven't. Maybe put all the vitamins together in an empty tablet pot or a zip lock bag? I think you'll be fine. Someone else will hopefully have a better idea..

EJ - I've just realised I'm late too, should have ovulated yesterday. Probably the cold doing it I'm guessing?

EJ2009 · 10/11/2016 06:23

Im day cd 16. No positive opk, no temp rise and i always get insanely sensitive nipples before and during ovulation and they are fine. So yes could be late but the signs arent good.
