Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

MrsG - it took about a year for my periods to get as painful as they used after coming off the pill. You may be the same? My periods themselves were normal from cycle 1, very lucky. Sounds like you may be exactly the same.

sk1pper · 03/11/2016 15:13

Kwick - ah okay that makes sense, but I personally think the child has a right to know. Do you know if the donation bank provides support for the potential meet-up? It could be so messy emotionally.

Jem - you have described a process I go through maybe bi-monthly. It's really hard sometimes, it's worse when I see others having more success than me. But you are safe here in this lovely group, we all get how you feel xx

Music - it's literally just peeing into a pot every morning, and from cd7 using the ovulation kit. OH has got used to the container in a fridge with a biohazard warning on it now. Hee hee.

I am so so busy this week, have hardly had a chance to think about babies and TTC. Doing my first session of Yoga tonight too.

MrsG280516 · 03/11/2016 14:06

It is Mouse, I'm really surprised my cycle has settled so quickly. I finished the pack and had my usual 7 day break (combined pill) then ovulated on CD17 so everything looks to be working...

I think its harder with the mini pill as you don't normally have withdrawal/breakthrough bleeds so it just takes a little time for you body to remember what it should be doing. Really hope it happens for you soon Flowers

MouseLove · 03/11/2016 13:59

MrsG is this the first cycle off the pill? For you to have a chart like that I'd say that's really good. I wouldn't rule yourself out at all. Your never out until AF arrives. Look at me!! CD49 today!! Lol

MrsG280516 · 03/11/2016 13:47

Thanks Music that's true I guess, I have no idea when AF will turn up to be honest. I'm dreading it since its my first "proper" period, I normally get bad cramps for a day or two but I'm worried they're going to be horrific!

Musicgrrl · 03/11/2016 13:32

Mrs you can defs be pregnant and it still give you a BFN at 12dpo. Even if you use a very sensitive test. It just depends when you have implanted. If you implant late then the hormones won't have built up enough to show on the test yet.

But I don't worry about not drinking in the tww. I have a glass or two of wine every now and then. Other people have more or less so it's quite a personal thing.

MrsG280516 · 03/11/2016 13:26

Thanks everyone. I hope it goes back up a bit tomorrow. If not then I'll know by Saturday when I test and can have a good commiseration drink at the party if its a BFN!

MouseLove · 03/11/2016 12:59

MrsG you're soooooo not out. Still way above the cover line. Your temp might go up and down above that line and still be upduffed no problem. It's when it goes BELOW the line you worry. Wine

Musicgrrl · 03/11/2016 12:54

kwick sounds like you picked lovely spermies! That's annoying about the UK donors. I can see why men wouldn't want to donate!

skipper ooh yes forgot you were doing a trial - can't wait to hear how it goes!

Mrs try not to get hung up on one day's temperature. I know it's hard! But you're not that close to AF yet (unless you have a shorter luteal phase). At 10dpo it could still be an implantation dip! (I can't really talk as I'm worrying about mine today too!)

Jem sorry that you're feeling down today. I try and think of it statistically. Just because you don't conceive in the early months doesn't mean you can't - loads of people just take longer, especially for their first. It's just annoying that we aren't the early people!!

Tenner that sounds so horrible of your friends! Hope it was just a misunderstanding. Can sympathise with the house buying stress. Facial and massage sound like the perfect solution!

Flutter umm I would be getting excited if I were you. Every chart I have ever stalked that had a day or two of brown spotting has ended up with being pregnant! I would test in a few days to give the hcg levels time to get into your system of they're there!

kwick · 03/11/2016 12:17

jem have not been to Homerton although it was where GP was going to send me until he found out I was single...

tenner a mahoosive hug for you. Flowers Your DH sounds lovely. What horrid friends you have - maybe give them a miss in the future and stay away from fb.
Best of luck with signing contract!

Welcome flutter!

mrs LSFX!!!!

Gonna have a bath...

MrsG280516 · 03/11/2016 12:02

Sorry you've been having a tough time Tenner. Your "friends" are bang out of order. I would say something along the lines of "looks like you had a lovely time, we would have loved to have joined you" and see what their response is. How sweet of your DP to book you in for some pamper time, I would love that.

My DH is getting us a bottle of wine to share tonight, I feel like I just need to relaxxxxx! He's been on nights the past two nights and I've missed him much more than usual since we started this TTC malarkey. Must be all the sex we've been having!

FluttershyStare · 03/11/2016 11:59

Morning all, I had my implant out in July, and I think I'm cycle 3?

I'm about 3 days away from testing, according to ovia, but 6 days to when AF is due

I've had a mild crampy sensation, and the tiniest bit of brown spotting today which is something that never happens mid(ish) cycle.

I know I'll have to be patient and see what the next few days bring, but there's that part of my brain saying "ooh, it could be implantation bleeding, ooh!"

Then again, there's the other part if my brain telling the first part to shut the duck up and just get on with your day haha

YouOweMeATenner · 03/11/2016 11:48

MrsG it's still early days and still above the coverline! You're not out until AF comes knocking.

I'm an emotional wreck today, and have been all week. I'm usually weepy for about a day in the lead up to AF, but this past week I've been like Tiny Tears, can't stop gurning. My best friend turned 30 a few weeks ago and as a birthday surprise, her dp organized a city break for her during midterm (we are all teachers). She posts a fb picture from the airport with her, her dp and 4 other couples. Turns out her dp invited all our friends to go along with them as an extra surprise and didn't invite me and dp. We are all part of the same friendship group and it has completely floored me. So I've been at home all midterm while all my friends had been living it up on their city break. On top of that I'm in the middle of buying a house, going to sign the contract today and I'm stressing myself out about it. So basically I've not stopped crying all week. My dp has booked me a facial and massage today to help cheer me up (cue more crying because of his thoughtfulness). And the 2ww is dragging. Im hoping all the emotion is a symptom of me cooking a wee baby! Sorry to go off on one. Needed to let it all out somewhere!

harrietm87 · 03/11/2016 11:47

Thanks for the sympathy peeps but not ttc yet so actually pleased AF is here - have an irrational fear of suddenly developing issues with my periods before ttc starts. Have had a few weirdly short/light cycles so hoping this one is more normal.

Is anyone else waiting til jan to ttc? I'm planning to disguise it with dry January and New Years resolution to drink less!

MrsG280516 · 03/11/2016 10:38

Morning everyone. Big temp drop for me this morning so feeling like I'm already out this month Sad

Kwick I'm going to borrow that mindset and look forward to getting my baby in arms next year too. We will be referred to the Homerton once we have our results back. Any experience of it?

kwick · 03/11/2016 09:58

Well that is the thing sk1pper UK law allows the children to contact the donor when they are 18. This puts a lot of donors off - hence why there are so few donors for the UK.

I have lurgy - full blown - have decided to stay home today.Envy

Welcome york!!!

jem although my journey has been different than yours (especially in the DTD department Wink) I am right there with you. I thought I would have a baby by now, and indeed if I had not MCed I would be nearly at term. Nonetheless I am still optimistic for the future and hope that this time next year I will definitely have a baby in my arms.
When I first went to the FC I fear I was a tad cocky and did not ask enough questions. I would recommend that you make a very long list of questions and ask away!
Which FC are you going to?

Nicky883 · 03/11/2016 08:56

Welcome york !
Londonjem you have just descibed excactly how i feel !

LondonJem · 03/11/2016 08:46

Hi pug glad you found us. Was that your 21 day bloods? I've got mine tomorrow. Good luck with the SA results

Welcome York

5 DPO today. Feeling a bit terrible about it all again today. Every now and then I get this feeling of absolute amazement that this is what I'm going through. I look back to this time last year and being excited about starting TTC. Thought I would be pregnant within a couple of months - there was no doubt in my mind. I cannot actually believe sometimes that it's nearly a year on and I'm still not. I feel like my life has become a process of going through the motions. This all sounds very dramatic - most of the time I keep a lid on it but every now and then it's like reality just catches up with me and I'm just dazed by it.

Trying to imagine what our first appointment with the fertility hospital will feel like. I think it might help to start getting my head around that.

Musicgrrl · 03/11/2016 07:56

Hi York! When's AF due and/or when are you planning to poas?

My temps are annoying me atm by being very unexciting and on the low side for post O. How are other tempers doing? Mrs your chart is looking good!

MouseLove · 02/11/2016 23:08

Sane and sensible? GrinWink
Welcome York!!

CD49 tomorrow. I'm so over it now lol

sk1pper · 02/11/2016 22:40

Hi York!

Winging - August would be perfect, I have a lot of family (on both sides) with birthdays in August. I'm hoping it's an omen..

YorkErin · 02/11/2016 22:19

Hey all! First post here after lurking a while...pleased to meet other sane, sensible ttc people on the interwebs :)

Cycle 3....or 4, depending how we're counting. Got my IUD out at the beginning of July but cycle didn't regulate til mid-August
CD27, which is why I'm here trying not to obsess or worry too much!

WingingIt83 · 02/11/2016 21:42

mrs on the cycles I've temped sometimes the temp drop occurs about 3 days before but sometimes it's dropped and AF arrives a few hours later

I'm feeling remarkably positive about the overall situation at the moment. I think I'm trying to tell myself that having a baby in July /Aug isn't great for what I do and therefore perhaps it's fate is going to kick on and it all workout ok in the end.
Just hope that positiveness stays when AF arrives!

Hi again pug glad things are progressing for you

Sorry harriet Sad

Pugmummy87 · 02/11/2016 20:43

Hello all, I found you!

So much to catch up on. Thinking of you all.

Had follow up appt with GP today, bloods came back normal, DH has he's SA booked for next Wednesday and once she has the results for that, we will be referred to the hospital.
