Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Gee highly likely that the 12 month fixed term contract will mean you are eligible to take the company maternity policy for the remainder of your 12m ftc. So if you get pregnant during the first month you might want to take maternity leave at month 8 and then you'd get 4 months. That's what my company policy is and I'm also on ftc. Apparently that's fairly standard for ftcs.

What are soft cups??

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 14:38

Oh FX Mouse that's amazing news!!

MouseLove · 05/11/2016 13:36

I'm sat here absolutely balling my eyes out. I meant serious body chugging balling my eyes out. I'm so happy. I think AF finally arrived.

I have a little belly ache and a little red on wiping. DH has gone out for his hair cut so I'm home alone grinning like a Cheshire Cat. I really hope it comes in full effect, I don't care, I need it. CD51 might just have turned into CD1. Please keep your FX for me. X Smile

kwick · 05/11/2016 13:22

So had 2 follicles one at 8mm, other at 6mm... a bit below parr, feel like lurgy and forgetting to drink milk has not helped. Next scan tuesday.

Happy weekend everyone!

LondonJem · 05/11/2016 12:14

Skipper know how you feel, we've had some of the most unsexy unhappy sex ever this year! Luckily most of the time we both really enjoy it but every now and then it's really forced SadBlush

Good luck kwick! Go follicles!

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 11:39

Thanks everyone, I remembered about the mucus plug like thingy that I lost after DTD around ovulation time so thinking that might have hindered us this month. Not feeling too disappointed Smile plenty of time left. December would be ideal for a few reasons, we have holidays booked early January and late May. We're still going to give November a go though as DH doesn't see the point in having to use protection for one month!

Anyone got any plans tonight? We're at a belated Halloween party at my parents house, DH and I are going as Shaggy and Velma Grin

Binkybunny13 · 05/11/2016 11:05

Penguin hope you had an awesome time last night. Great news about your liver and kidneys though sorry about your progesterone result Flowers What's next with the hospital?

So sorry about AF music. I second Jem re: maybe looking at LP length- as much as anything because I think when we worry about things the stress can have a negative effect on TTC but doing something makes us more positive and relaxed? Jem your softcup plan sounds great and I am fingers crossed for your results this week

Mrsg whilst you're not out yet, I've found it's helpful if I focus on the next cycle after a BFN like you're doing as limboland is definitely the hardest time. If AF doesn't show then that's something else, but for now I'd recommend lots of Chocolate and Brew !

Geeup I'm in a similar position with job ATM- it's hard isn't it as you don't want to ask them about maternity but it's a big deal! Kwick is so right though- Murphy's law might be the way forwards!

Skipper is that the clearblue OPK trial thing? How strange that they are so different. Well done on DTD to cover though- but you mustn't let one "functional" session every now and then make you feel bad. This whole TTC thing does rather spoil the romance but I'm a firm believer in the 80-20 rule for pretty much everything- if 80% of the time you eat/ DTD/ exercise/ drink etc right then 20% of the time can be a bit sub-optimal! Maybe pull out your best sexy moves for next session?!

Kwick good luck!

I was going to post about the stork thing too- obviously might not work but £100 in the grand scheme of things doesn't seem too bad? I had no idea about the fertility show either- maybe I should put that in my diary for next year now!

I'm CD9 today and not sure what has happened to my DH- we DTD last night and this morning Hmm Haven't done that in about 3 years! Shame it's not my FW..am trying to work out what's happened to him to try and maximise on this next week!

Happy weekend all!

kwick · 05/11/2016 10:24

music what a fcuker! I suggest you go to GP and explain you hve been TTC for a year.

Real sorry mrs Flowers

geeup UK law is not my specialty but can you get hold of their mat policy? If not google statutory. I would say though if it is a job you want go for it then Murphy's Law will be instigated and you will get your BFP Grin

Yep jem I am on way to clinic now. Have time to drink more milk before I have it!!!

sk1pper · 05/11/2016 09:40

Ahh sorry so many of you are out - I thought we were building up for an exciting weekend. Stay positive though, try and stay healthy for the new cycle.

Yeah the reviews on Amazon for stork aren't incredible. Also I am dubious about editorial articles, I do editorial stuff at work and we're always getting companies to fork out money for what is effectively a promotional article for their product.

I had a flashing face on my opk this morning. It means high fertility, but my normal OPK is blank...not even a faint line. I can't understand how I have high fertility when I'm cd10 and not even close to ovulation day. And I feel terrible because I pretty much told OH we ought DTD, which he complied with, but still afterwards I felt bad that there was no romance involved.

LondonJem · 05/11/2016 08:52

Morning Brew

That stork thing is interesting! Went straight to Amazon and it's got 37% 5** star reviews but 47% 1 star. An awful lot of people say it's terrible and a waste of money.

But it has convinced me to get some soft cups! Sounds as you say gee they do the same thing but much cheaper. So if I'm rolling onto cycle 12 next week as least I have a new trick to try.

Sorry about AF music definitely sounds worth looking into the LP length I think

Mrsg tenner still rooting for you, not out until you're out

Is moose still around how are things?

Kwick I get blood results Tuesday and DH sperm result Friday. Is it your scan today?

YouOweMeATenner · 05/11/2016 07:57

Sorry for AF music I'm of no help to you, I'm sure one of the others will be along soon with advice!

mrsg you're not out just yet! Not until AF arrives.

My temp has dropped to the coverline, good chance I'm out this cycle.

geeup · 05/11/2016 07:56

I mean I would have done 24 weeks by EDD - obviously haven't yet!

geeup · 05/11/2016 07:55

I'm the same girls. Woke up at 6.30 to temp and can't get back to sleep. Grrr.
Music - Sorry about AF. I tried to speak to my NHS consultant about my short luteal phase (but not as short as yours) and he did say the NHS don't recognise it as an issue. Private clinics will prescribe you progesterone though.
Starmist - thanks for asking. The interview went well and they've asked me to come back to them with the package I want. Quite scary. I need some HR advice because it's a 12mth FTC and I need to understand what will happen if I get pregnant (please god!) during that time. I believe I'm eligible for their enhanced mat leave as long as I've done 24 weeks service before EDD but want to be sure. Anyone here in HR - kwick might you know?!
I'm CD8 so just psyching myself up for fertile week next week. Will be dong preseed and softcups again (think softcups do pretty much the same as the stork by holding the sperm at the cervix?).

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 07:52

BFN for me this morning on a cheapie and a FRER. Not even a sniff of a line so onto cycle 2!

Musicgrrl · 05/11/2016 07:49

One week into my TWW and AF has just started. Means I had an 8 day LP. Time before that it was 19 days, then 8 days before that and 5 days before that. What do I do?! I've read that doctors think that LP length has no significance to whether/how easily you conceive but surely that can't be right if it can take 7-10 days for an egg to implant? But I don't want to go and just be dismissed. We've only been ttc for six months but it feels like there's definitely a problem here. Sorry for the moan Confused

YouOweMeATenner · 05/11/2016 07:47

Me too sk1pper Angry

sk1pper · 05/11/2016 07:09

Kwick - had no idea there was a fertility show, just been looking at the exihibitors. If I'm still babyless this time next year, I'm going to go.

Bleh, woke up to temp and now can't get back to sleep.

kwick · 05/11/2016 05:51

You guys should all try the Stork thing that sk1pper shared.... i really want to go to the fertility show now!!!! But then I think why? I am not about to change my clinic so what for?

kwick · 05/11/2016 05:46

Will keep my FX for you jem. When will you get the results?

Sorry anout the progesterone inspector I always get a low result after IVF and they give me loads to take: injections, gel, suppositories... but I wonder if itvis my body knowing what is in there is not viable...

Now I will try and go back to schleep...

sk1pper · 05/11/2016 00:29

Have you ladies seen this Stork thingamijig:
www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3900948/The-100-condom-4-900-cheaper-IVF-just-effective-helped-hundreds-couples-conceive.html

Very very tempted...

LondonJem · 04/11/2016 22:56

Sorry about your result penguin that must have been a shock. It's a step to setting it right though. Hope you enjoyed your evening.

sk1pper · 04/11/2016 22:26

winging - ah I understand!

Sorry mouse I meant cd 22/23. Think I got confused as you had good cm around cd 13/14 and was looking at that too. But it's hard to judge without the previous temps.

Feel like I'm getting really confused today ha ha :)

MouseLove · 04/11/2016 22:02

I started temping on day 19, but had a lot of EWCM around that time. Maybe Sk1pper meant 40. X

AlexiaB · 04/11/2016 21:47

skipper She is. I'm really lucky to have her. She's always sending me gifts and has never been anything but amazing to me, especially since I'm not from her country/culture. Lol don't worry I won't go crazy! You can only take 5 or 10 per month on cd3-7. I'll start on 5x2.5mg and then double it to 10x2.5mg (2 per day) if I need to. I was surprised at the quantity too! It's two small boxes with 5 strips of 10 in each.

Not sure if I'm going crazy but I don't see any temps for Mouse on cd14/15? I also don't see a sustained temp shift to indicate O. Mouse yes your thyroid could be causing havoc, I'd forgotten about that. Hope your weekend temps go wellGrin

Starmist hope you can work your charm on DH. Maybe let him sleep for a bit then wake him up?

Jem fx for your bloods and MrJem's SA. Yes it feels great to have some control back.

Inspector sorry about no ovulation but enjoy your evening with DH.

Hope everyone's having a nice evening Smile

sk1p 27 is bad for me as I consistently ovulate around day 17/18 hence the short luteal phase.
