Having been trying for a few months but first cycle using OPKs so hoping that will pinpoint the best time to pin down DH ;-) not that he's complaining - yet!

Usernamegone · 25/10/2016 10:24

Not holding out hope this month as only DTD once when my monitor said peak. Am random symptom spotting at the moment - my boobs hurt and feel heavy (but this could just be PMS). How early can I POAS as i am having an impatient tww!

Writerwannabe83 · 25/10/2016 09:51

Found a random OPK and this came up within 15 seconds....

Well despite having EWCM about a week ago I didn't have a positive
OPK (which I always get on CD17/18) so I had resigned myself to a cycle where I didn't ovulate but I woke up yesterday morning, on CD 21, to absolutely loads of EWCM!! Unfortunately I have no OPK strips to see if/when I'm going to ovulate and I'm away from DH for 5 days so I can't DTD anyway.

We DTD two days before all the EWCM arrived so who knows, maybe our one go this month in the middle of a weird cycle will give me a BFP seeing as 8 months of perfectly timesd sex during normal cycles hasn't resulted in one.... Grin

sandsandwiches · 25/10/2016 00:33

Might join you in the opks mother ... good luck!

sandsandwiches · 25/10/2016 00:31

mrsg I found ovulation pains almost exactly like period pains last cycle...if I hadn't known better would have thought it was the shortest cycle ever! Goods luck for your fertile week!

&good work laura! Hope the hard work pays off Wink We DTD pretty much daily when ttc DD1 but poor DH is feeling more deprived this time round - toddler who sleeps in our bed and a wife who works lots of night shifts does not make DTD easy! Saving the energy for next week... AF week is almost as bad as tww...I want to get started already Grin

MotherofUnicorns · 24/10/2016 18:36

Yes my luteal phase seems to have gone a bit haywire. It used to be bang on 14days but has been less than that since having coil out. I am going to do opk's from day 7 this cycle to get a handle on it all!
I am going to try to dtd every other day or so from about then as well. Just so we care covered so to speak!
Good luck everyone !

purplebella · 24/10/2016 17:09

Hi everyone! I didn't realise there was a November bus (thanks Mimi!), so just had 3 pages to read!

Mira, me and OH recently had a row over it all so I'm trying to relax a bit this month (easier said than done, right!)

Good luck everyoneFlowers

19Laura88 · 24/10/2016 16:53

Forgot to add we DTD every day from cycle day 15 to 20!

age 28
TTC #1
Cycle 3
CD 24 of usually around 30 days.

Currently In the tww thinking every little twinge is a symptom! Going to test on 1st November if AF hasn't arrived. OPK test positive on day 18 so presuming I have ovulated either then or day after.

We only DTD once while I had a positive OPK so not holding out much hope for this cycle. Also cycle length has been all over the place since periodscame back after DD.
Last month got my period 10 dpo.

Has anyone else's luteal phase gone a bit haywire since having a baby?

MrsG280516 · 24/10/2016 09:28

Had positive OPKs last night and this morning, so I'm expecting to ovulate by tomorrow. So changing my test date slightly to 8.11.16 Smile

Anyone else get AF like cramps in the days leading up to ov?

rogl · 24/10/2016 08:34

Hi all wondering if I could join Smile

I'm still a bit iffy with all the abbreviations so may need some help!

My dh has finally agreed ttc after me wanting to for 18 months!!

Thank you and good luck Halo

Hello fellow passengers, some of whom I recognise from previous buses.

Age: 33 in two days time Cake
TTC #2 (DS is 2.5 years old).
I Hhad a miscarriage on Cycle one, took a couple of months off until I felt ready to try again and now I'm on cycle 8.

Over the previous 10 months of tracking I've always had my positive OPK on CD17/18 but today I'm at the end of CD20 and still no positive OPK despite testing 2-3 times a day.

I'm a bit confused really.

My period would be due 3rd November but seeing as I don't seem to have ovulated this month im thinking pregnancy is not going to occur Sad

SoozC · 23/10/2016 21:54

Welcome, Rose, Sandwich and ThereIs.

Sorry to hear you've rowed with DH, mira. It is a stressful time.

Lulu, you never know, you could ov early or late so lots of dtd (dtg) anyway!

Babybeesmama · 23/10/2016 21:45

Motherofunicorns... funny I've had similar negativeness regarding TTC no 3.. me & DH both one of 3 & have always said we wanted 3! Trying not to listen to negatives as me & DH have already discussed no 3 at length & decided it's what we want! X

ThereIsNoFelange · 23/10/2016 21:18

Hello

Jumping on board for the first time - decided we are TTC #2.

Just DTD unprotected for the first time in 2 years. I have no idea if it's the right time of the month yet or not, my cycles are irregular. Just hoping for the best...

Waiting out AF at the moment. Was naively sure it'd happen first month round, so now settling in for a slightly more realistic approach. On the plus side, every month is a little more saved in the bank...
Might try those kiwi fruit. :)

Lulu298 · 22/10/2016 22:47

Hello October peeps! Hope this is our lucky bus. Smile

Have had a really nice evening (CD3): glass of red wine, dark choc and Strictly! Yay!

Mira sorry to hear that ttc has caused tension this month. It has this weird way of making you question everything, doesn't it? Hope you get a chance to chill together at some point.

Me & dh have got a week off together coming up but Sod's law, it doesn't coincide with our fertile week! Annoying!

I'm going cold turkey in terms of BBT, opk and symptom spotting this cycle - Hopefully this thread won't make me become obsessed again like I was last cycle!

Heatherbaby · 22/10/2016 19:08

Hi mouse following your journey through other threads too but welcome to the November bus.. may this be the one for all of us aboard!

motherofunicorns haha yep I think it's most likely something related to constipation as it's surely far too early to expect any real symptoms yet. Also don't listen to your friend about the age gaps! There are 8 years between me and my older sis and 4 years between me and youngest sis (so 12 between youngest and eldest). Amongst that we have a brother who is 6 years older than me. I still have fab memories playing with all of them in my childhood and now we are older the age gap is not a problem at all. We all hang out together - 37, 35, 29 (me) and 25. We all benefit from each others experiences but are close enough to have similar interests. So I couldn't advocate age gaps enough. Also, my older sis who is my ttc journey role model, has 3 kids (8, 6 and 2) and whilst her family feels bigger than average, their household is just lovely and fun.

As an update the faint cramp feeling has been coming and going...I guess depending on my concentration on it! I have been mega hungry and tired yesterday and today...but again, this could be normal...

mira yes ttc does seem to put pressure on the relationship and it's important to not let it effect it too much. I got a positive opk on Sunday morning and my husband had made some unimportant plans that afternoon. I was so angry he wouldn't hand about to DTD and accused him of not taking this seriously and not caring. Honestly I was a bit like a woman possessed! He did try to make an effort that night and the following few but I have just felt very sensitive throughout this first month of TTC... it's normal to a degree but I guess we need to remember our OH's feelings in all of this too!
