TWW - could do with some company

Hi all. Just starting my 11th tww. According to Ovia I have 11 days until I should POAS. I'll add my stats below, but basically I could just do with a bit of company and support this cycle, as the ttc is starting to get me down (I've had one miscarriage at 8wks back in January, but nothing postive since ). I would love to conceive this cycle as its my two year anniversary in October and it would be lovely to surprise my DH with some good news SmileThanks

Age 35
Ttc #1
Cycle 11
CD 16
Peak OPK on CD 14, so testing on 28th sept according to Ovua

Well 12dpo might be early if you implanted late! You're not out til af arrives! Fingers crossed for Sunday Grin

turquoise I know how you feel hun. I was relaxed first 2 cycles off the pill just dtd regularly and it happened straight away but since the mc I've become a lot more crazed! Just can't wait to be pg again. Also so scared though. I'm scared of testing again incase it is a BFP and all the stress and anxiety after what happened before. Fx for you that it does happen quickly.

9dpo today.... getting there slowly! I sore boobs yesterday which is unusual for me but trying not to read anything in to it as surely 8 days would be far too early for symptoms anyway! My temps are looking good though, still rising! This is my first month bbt so even if it is bfn it'll be good to know my lp and have something to compare next time.

How you doing minnie?

TurquoiseDress · 24/09/2016 00:25

I think I'm 13 DPO but not really sure!

Pretty convinced nothing will happen this month, it's only the 2nd cycle after the miscarriage.

The last few weeks I have been more aware/informed of my cycyles than ever before in my life!

We have never really ttc in the past (apart me stopping the pill)- now I'm pissing on opks, taking my temperature daily & pondering my cervical mucus!

Have a sinking feeling that this is not going be to quick like the offers, simply because we are ttc and I'm putting lots of thought into it.

Maybe we should just go back to not thinking about it...but I know I can't do that, after the recent mmc and the fact I'm 38, I can feel the rising panic within me!

EJ1986 · 23/09/2016 18:10

Im at 12 dpo (i think) and getting out of control thinking about it. BFN today (i caved). My nipples are still sore and thats been going all week. I decided i was nauseous but i think thats out of nerves pmsl. No other symptoms except for cramping today which feels annoyingly life af on her way Sad will not test again now until Sunday, assuming af isnt here by then.

minniewinnie · 23/09/2016 18:01

7dpo for me! How are all you ladies doing? Smile

minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 19:02

Oh yes, I always spot a couple of days before my period and try and convince myself that it's just a late (sometimes very late) implant bled. I swear ttc makes us all a little crazy at times bummymummy Wink.

A lot of the google results were about taking allergy meds during ttc, rather than coming out in hives being sign - but you never know! During my first pregnancy I was really ill at 12dpo, then had really bad indigestion / trapped winds until I did a (positive) hpt at 14dpo but otherwise I'm not sure I was having any earlier symptoms, although it was the Christmas holidays, so I wasn't really paying attention.

Oooo you're going to get addicted to testing with those cheapies Moonlight, but sometimes doing something proactive is better than just playing the waiting game. Like every month I'm just hoping we catch some luck this month - only 4 more days Grin

MoonlightMojitos · 22/09/2016 18:14

Ooh minnie what did it say?! Last time I got my BFP I had my hair coloured as usual the day before and it was REALLY itchy. I thought it was weird and the next day when I tested I thought oh I wonder if that's why. The things we try and spot when ttc 😂

This is my first month buying cheapies so I think I'll be a nightmare, I was the same before using cb digitals so that out me off testing too early to poa5er!

BummyMummy77 · 22/09/2016 17:08

Dh found 8 tests from one day in the bin this month and that's when he insisted on booking an appointment. If I did need ivf maybe I'd just move back to the UK.

Would actually be nice to get something for the shitload of tax I've paid over the years!

BummyMummy77 · 22/09/2016 17:07

I think it's 40 something 5 days before and each day closer they get more accurate.

The worst for me is that bang on 9-10 days after ovulation I get early period spotting but EVERY TIME CONVINCE convince myself it's implantation bleeding. Angry

minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 16:49

I think the clearblue digi ones say 87% accurate - but not sure how true that is, lol!

OP posts:
minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 16:48

I'm all good thanks Moonlight, random allergic reaction (hives) on my hands today... I'm not googling 'allergic reaction ttc'... honest Hmm! Lol, I really am terrible!! I've used the super cheap tests, but must admit I blow thru them too quickly, so now I force myself to use a clearblue two pack (rationed to one pack a month) and for that price I know I can't just use them on every wee, lol!

OP posts:
BummyMummy77 · 22/09/2016 14:32

Also, I find the cheap tests can be wrong even a few days after your period is due. The hcg needed to work them can take a while to build.

BummyMummy77 · 22/09/2016 14:30

The days before tests are only 42 or something percent accurate though. Doesn't stop me plowing through a three pack of those and about 20 cheapy ones every month. Confused

MoonlightMojitos · 22/09/2016 12:58

I got my BFP last time 13dpo, that was the first test I'd done and it was a strong positive but I think it can completely depend on hormone levels and when implantation happens. That was a clearblue, I'm not sure how sensitive the cheapies are but I'll probably test 12dpo depending how I feel, otherwise hold out til 14dpo to save the disappointment.

How you feeling today minnie?

minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 11:53

In more sensitive tests you can test up to 4 days before your period if due, with cheapie your prob better off waiting until you think you're late if possibly a day or two early Smile x

TurquoiseDress · 22/09/2016 11:40

When are you able to start pregnancy testing from?

I know that even if you are pregnant there might not be enough of the hormone BHCG to be picked up.

Only have the cheap PT sticks- I refuse to spend 15 quid on two tests from Clearblue!

Is the 2ww, 2 weeks post-ovulation day?

In my previous pregnancies I wasn't counting days or calculating anything so I tested when my period was around a week late.

minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 09:04

Hi Turquoise, I hadn't really thought about the timing of periods being relative to the ovulation, prob just because (when I have used opk's) I always seem to Ov at around the same time. My cycle length is completely out of whack tho and every month I have a 'normal' 28 day one I think to myself 'oh that's it, it'll all be on track now' and then the next month it'll be a 34 day-er!

Anyway 6pdo! Whoop Smile - only 4 days until poas becomes my new hobby, lol!

OP posts:
MoonlightMojitos · 21/09/2016 23:00

Also... my cycles are still messed up from mc too which is why I decided to start opks and bbt. I was just guessing before but regular cycles so it was easier.

MoonlightMojitos · 21/09/2016 22:58

turquoise ov on 16/17 would be about right if you dtd on cd15. The egg only lives about 12 hours if it's not fertilised. Sperm can live up to 5 days which is why it's best to dtd before ov so they're already in there waiting when the egg is released :)

The best way to know your lp for sure though is bbt so good job starting that!

TurquoiseDress · 21/09/2016 22:49

I can totally see how this TTC can take you over completely and make you sightly obsessive about everything!

The OPK sticks & downloading the Ovia app are the only things I've done since the MMC, although I did order a thermometer for BBT & started recording that each morning a few days ago.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

TurquoiseDress · 21/09/2016 22:47

minniewinnie

Hi [waves]
That's really interesting, I've kind of always just gone on the assumption that ovulation is around 14 days before a period starts, but this really is not always the case.

I have been on the pill so long that I really am not familiar with my 'normal' cycle.

The past couple of months since the miscarriage have been interesting as I feel I'm getting to know my body a bit better as I've tried to follow the cycles.

When I fell pregnant earlier this year it was shortly after stopping the pill, but when looking back at the dates (with the help of Ovia!) I realise that when I fell pregnant, me & DH had sex on CD15 (the only time we did that month!).

This confused me a bit when thinking that my cycles are 33 days...but maybe I ovulate earlier? although the OPKs seem to suggest around CD 16/17

minniewinnie · 21/09/2016 22:29

Hi EJ and Turquoise Smile. Agreed EJ, we need some sort of implant confirmation test Grin. I know what you mean Turquoise my cycles were 28 days until the MC, now.... well your guess is as good as mine, anything ranging from 26 to 36 (that was the mega test month!) days. It's so frustrating as I was so regular before! It's funny though, as I've been doing the clear blue opk for a few months and I seem to consistently ovulate on cd14/15 regardless of the total cycle length. X

Hello all

This is my first time doing anything like this i.e. posting on a thread like this!

Age 38
TTC number 2
Cycle 2 post-missed miscarriage at 13 weeks
Cycle day 28
Only recently started using OPKs- CD 16 & 17 got the darkest 2nd lines but not sure if they were proper positives
Think my cycles seem to be around 33 days but things have been a bit all over the place since the miscarriage
No ideas what's going on really! Confused

EJ1986 · 21/09/2016 21:37

Ive had it girls. Im still 4/5 days from af. Horribly unlikey im upduffed this month due to minimal dtd but ive decided i cant wait a second longer to know for sure, so we need to join forces with the scientific community and get a test that can identify pregnancy a day or two after conception!!

BummyMummy77 · 21/09/2016 20:08

Thanks Minnie. Fingers crossed for all of us!
