The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

It's not going to happen - complete BFN this morning too.

A really exciting prospect has come up at work which I have been deliberating over for a few weeks because there's no point me taking on the role if I plan on getting pregnant/having a new baby etc but now I'm thinking f*ck it and may just apply anyway. We've been TTC for 7 months and got nowhere so I'm thinking perhaps having DC2 was never meant to be for me and I should follow my career path instead.

I have used both an IC and an OPK tonight and both are completely second line-less. I will no doubt wake up to my period in the morning. I'm so fed up of being disappointed every month Sad

Writer is it worth trying a frer? My ic htps are still barely showing a line where as the frer is now as dark as the control

flappergirl - I'm really sorry you're having these problems. Has this ever happened before TTC or is it something new?

Without being too personal - is it that he can get an erection and have but just not ejaculate, or is he struggling to even get an erection?

Grin I might try and squeeze out a few drops before bed and test. I have now told myself that the only reason I'm getting BFNs is because my batch of hpts are faulty!! Grin

Well my period hasn't arrived so on my drive home from work I had the great idea to go an HPT when I got home, just in case (kidding myself) but when I had a wee I forgot to collect some in my cup despite holding it in my hand Grin

Sorry to hear you are feeling low Writer , definitely make the most of your OH being away - lots of pampering, all of your favourite food & a few cheeky drinks. Not quite the same as DTD but nothing wrong with some self indulgence!

CD 27 (11 dpo).. BFN on IC. Don't feel like AF is due but not convinced I feel pregnant either.

Apparently I'm entering the fertile period now, so will be dtd as many days as time allows...Hard when we have teenage kids that go to bed at nearly the same time as you! Lol

Cycle 2 - after 11 years on combined pill
Cd2
Age 28 (29 in nov)

Totally amazed as my first cycle post pill was a usual 28 days. Stared af on the day I would have if I was still having my withdrawal bleed. I am going to try not and over think this month and just dtg (been following since that discussion) regularly once af has vacated. I mentioned bbt taking to my oh and he has said lets try and just see what happens for a few months.

Flapper i think ttc is just as hard on the men than the woman just nobody mentions it.

tiggi that's awesome. Maybe you're not as pregnant as you think you are.

Flapper he must be feeling the pressure. I definitely think you should keep him in the dark about the technical side and just let him enjoy the practice.

Ali my BBT thermometer must have properly broken as I can't find it. Will order one for next cycle. I've finally had a 2nd line on an OPK though, so maybe I will ovulate late. Will do another one later to see if it's darker. Starting to regret DTD last night now.

Skipper, this is belated and you're probably not following this thread anymore but just wanted to say thanks for being such a positive force and trying to keep everyone's spirits up on this bus and the others. It must have taken a huge amount of effort and just wanted to say it hadn't gone unnoticed. Hang on in there xx

Just started using clear blue digital ovulation kit, no smiley face today but I hope to get one within the next week!

Trying not to get obsessed but as I am nearing 40, i feel like it's now or never. No pressure! Lol

So we've tried DtG 3 times now and OH is unable to ejaculate. I'm pretty mortfied. I was prepared for a wait and all the other pitfalls along the way but not this...the most basic ingredient. Hes really upset about it too and we dont know why its happening -hes gonna try come off his meds (sertraline) to see if that helps. Needless to say I'm out this month! Will return to the bus if and when we get this sorted because until he can actually produce the goods we're f**ked! Sad Hopefully wont see any of you on the next bus xxx

Yeah maybe purple, perhaps it's still rising and I just need to watch that I'm not drinking heaps and diluting it.

I've got 2 OPKS sticks left for this cycle! Use one tonight or save them both for the next two days... decisions decisions

I'm only 3dpo today so nothing to report. My temps are all over the place this cycle thanks to unsettled sleep but it does at least show a rise.

Captain was your urine on the second test today definitely concentrated enough? If you hadn't waited that long/had drank lots of water, that could explain why it was so faint?
