Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Oh no writer, that's rubbish! Sorry to hear that.

My OH likes video games and he was playing tonight and I told him that he needed to make time at some point as 'I wanted him to stick his willy in me so I could take his juices!' He has very kindly and dutifully obliged and he's agreed he'll pop it in his diary again for Monday 😆

That approach clearly worked for him!

Writerwannabe83 · 17/09/2016 23:12

Well tonight was a write off too - so two nights in a row it hasn't happened because DH is tired/unwell.

I'm feeling pretty pissed off to be honest.

If he's not up for it again tomorrow then I'm going to make him wank into a syringe and I'm going to inseminate myself. I'm not even joking.,

Hi all, jumping on from the September bus. 37 and been ttc#2 for over a year now. Keeping things crossed for this month. if nothing, then I'll be taking myself off to the gp. Don't want to have to...dreading that.

Mumrahhhh · 17/09/2016 22:31

Thanks purple haze, I'm going to try for the next week with the opk, just to see how it goes. I am only testing once a day, so might not be enough.

What sort of temp drop should I be looking for? The last few days I've been 36.2 and today I was 36.1, is that a drop? Thank you, all quite new!

Writerwannabe83 · 17/09/2016 21:42

I'm on CD15 and due to ovulate in three days. I started getting EWCM today.

I've just come home from work all ready to DTD but DH has the worst cough, it's horrible, phlegmy clearly full of rank germs and it's putting me right off! Hmm

Hi guys, can I join?

My stats:

Age: 29
DH's age: 36
TTC #2 (DD 26 months)
Cycle 5
CD 1

AF arrived this morning. Last month was my first month charting and my temps have been low since 9dpo so I've been fully expecting AF. I've found charting really helpful, wish I'd started it ages ago.

ali I don't think that sounds crazy at all. I wake at 5.30 every morning & take my temp (even on weekends!).

mumrahh I use the One Step OPKs from Amazon. Are you testing a few times a day? If your surge is short you could miss it if only testing once a day. I have heard of women never getting a positive OPK and still getting a BFP so don't lose hope. Hopefully temping will help you pinpoint ovulation too Smile

Good luck to everyone. Hopefully this is a lucky bus!

Hi ladies, I joined the October bus bring have been very busy and haven't had much time to post. I'm just catching up with everyone's news.

I'm cd14 today and gother slight ewm, so planning a bit of baby making action tonight. This is my first month of temping, so not sure what to expect. My cycles have been a bit inconsistent since having the coil removed. I've been using the cheap opk from amazon, it's all shown negative so far, so unsure if it's the wrong time I'm testing or if it might be later, I'm hoping temping will show something! Feeling a bit anxious about it all, but can only do what I can do. Does anyone else use the cheapie opk?

sk1pper · 17/09/2016 17:37

I don't think anything is crazy anymore. You gotta do what you gotta do and I'm not going to judge anyone who's TTC.

Alibaba2 · 17/09/2016 12:00

I've started setting the alarm and temping at 4am - is that crazy? It's just that I always wake in the night then when I go back to sleep my temps are then high.

I've noticed they're much more consistent now.

But I find it does help, even if you get slight inconsistencies. You definitely see the temp shift which confirms ov.

You need to do it alongside opk so you know when ov is coming.

sk1pper · 17/09/2016 11:34

Yeah normally though woke up at 5 today and needed to get up so did it two hours early. I guess that's why today's plot isn't filled in.

How long have you been temping for? Do you find it helps more than OPKs?

Alibaba2 · 17/09/2016 10:21

I love temping skipper.

Do you temp at the same time each day?

RubyFlamingo · 17/09/2016 08:43

I'm still here! Mad busy couple of weeks with one thing and another, but I'm back on the bus. Satisfying my mothering urges with the new kitten we picked up last Sunday, for now!

CD14 today and no pos opk yet despite last month's being CD12, I'm putting this down to still adjusting to being off the pill because I never was a 28-dayer when left to myself!

sk1pper · 17/09/2016 08:20

CD11, ovulation is random at the moment but could be in 3-6 days. I'm so happy with my first month of temp checking, started off a bit bumpy but think I'm gettin the hang of it now. Should be able to see the dip and spike.

Alibaba2 · 17/09/2016 07:27

What cd are you both on and what cd do you normally ov?

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2016 23:35

I'm not sure how up for it I will be tomorrow as I'm so tired when I get in from work. I leave my house at 06.45am and don't get home until 21.15pm so after 14 hours out the house by the time I get home I just want a cup of tea and my bed.

Maybe I will find the energy for a quickie but that will probably be about it Grin

Writer/munday - sorry your plans have failed :( you can hopefully step the game up tomorrow

OH and I are watching a horror film but it's too gory for me, a complete turn off. And now I'm knackered so not sure I'll manage it tonight now either. Ahh well...

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2016 23:06

munday - I'm going to go to work tomorrow without tights on so I can feel that my leg shaving wasn't completely pointless Grin

alibaba - next month he goes away the same day my FW begins and then comes back two days after my window has ended.

MundayCakes85 · 16/09/2016 23:03

Sorry your night didn't go to plasm either writer Good luck for tomorrow!

Alibaba2 · 16/09/2016 22:57

When is he going away?

bairnsangs · 16/09/2016 22:57

Sorry your evening didn't go to plan writer so annoying! I hope you get a good sleep at least.

Hey Ali thanks for the welcome yesterday - I hope you're having a nice Friday Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2016 22:51

Well the friend finally left and I told DH he had 20 minutes to impregnate me because I needed my bed and he said he was also tired and could we just do it tomorrow instead?

I told him that seeing as he's put a deadline on me in terms of how long we can TTC for and the fact he's out of the country over my fertile week next month then no, we can't just "do it tomorrow" Grin

He reluctantly stood up, and in his defence he was shattered, so I said it was fine, if he was too tired then it could wait.

He said no, being tired wasn't an excuse as he knew how much I wanted to make a baby (his words) and that he didn't want to let me down.

He asked me if I was fertile and I said I was in my fertile window (he probably had no idea what I was talking about) and I said there were still four more days in my window so it really wouldn't be the end of the world if we delayed TTC until tomorrow night instead.

Stupid mood-killing friend Grin

How frustrating Writer! Bloody men and football!

Is tonight fertile time?

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2016 22:30

Another hour has passed and DH's friend is still here!!!!!

It's 22.30 and I'm desperate for my bed. I've got to get up in 7.5 hours for work and DS will have a wake-up somewhere in those 7.5 hours too Sad

If the friend is still here in 15 minutes then I'm going to bed and calling tonight a write-off Angry

May attempt a little seduction myself tonight. That is if DH isn't too tipsy after the pub Hmm
