The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Omg my boobs are really hurting now and look like a motorway map. I'm really hoping for a bfp on Saturday. Although trying not to get my hopes up as I was convinced I was pg last month until AF showed up 10 days late. However my boobs do feel different this month and I'm so hungry all the time. Which is very unusual for me. FX for us all. Is anyone else testing on Saturday?

Im 8dpo now but not symptom spotting cos I felt really let down last time!

I suppose we could have a "Goodbye, I'm going to miss you" shag on the morning he's due to leave and a "I'm so glad you're home, I missed you shag" as soon as he's back and hope for the best Grin

mouse - I'm thinking if I shag DH that day he gets back there may be a tiny, tiny chance of conception!! I might go on Google and research way to delay ovulation and my FW Grin

My period is absolutely grim this morning. I hate it and I have the worse pains!

On a happier note though, I'm off to have a facial and a hot stone massage at 11am this morning. I can't wait!!!

AF is due Saturday and I am using all my will power not to test now (as I expect it will lead to disappointment). Getting married the Saturday 10 days time so am fantasising about having good news before then. However, if I haven't been lucky this month AF needs to come on time and not be late as I don't want to be on during my wedding!

Purple I don't think at all I'm pregnant. I'm not even convinced that I ovulated this month. I'd say I was even imagining the taste because I want a baby so badly. Surely I can't imagine a taste though? And of all the symptoms I'd imagine having a metal taste would not even be on my list. I had horrendous nausea and SPD with DD, so that's what I'd expect with #2. I feel like someone is going on, just don't think it's pregnancy.

Hi rosebud, i had it last month in the 2ww. I was convinced i was pg but wasn't. Can't explain it though and it definitely wasn't ovulation, just after!

Purple I didn't have it all with DD but it was my only symptom with MC. I can't seem to find anything on it occuring during ovulation. Had to get DH to drink some of my water as all I could taste was metal. He said it was normal tasting. Was hoping someone would say they'd had it during ov so it would make sense.

Those symptoms sound very promising lousy. Impressed by your resistance to temptation by not testing until the weekend!

I don't think I've ever had a metallic taste at ovulation Rosebud. Although I don't remember it when pregnant with DD either!

Writer keep the hope alive and DTD as he's running out the door. And then incubate the little guys and hope you drop an egg early!! (See, positive thinking!!) but really, it can happen I'm keeping my fingers crossed something works out for you. And if all else fails... freeze it. Grin

Mother if I'd definitely ovulated Saturday I would count this as a symptom as symptoms started 2dpo with #1. I've come off the multivitamins so it can't be that and I'm on no medication. I think it's worth noting the butterflies.

Flapper it is. Apparently it's caused by a rise in estrogen. Maybe possible at ovulation? I had it with my miscarriage but it started after my BFP and didn't have it with #1.

ah sorry writer but at least you are still regular, that is a good sign. Make the most of a month off the job and you might have renewed vigour in November!!
lousy that sounds super promising - i am sure you will see a BFP on Sat. Exciting.
and flapper that is hilarious! I think the population of the world might take a bit of a dip if that was the way to get pregnant!!

I have never had a metallic taste wither when ov or pg. I have been having 'butterflies' in my stomach in the evenings though - can i add this to my symptom spotting list?!

Sorry to hear AF got you Writer, and it's such as shame your DH is away the next FW. Don't they know they are required at all times?!
