Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Cycle 12!!
Cd1
AF due around 22/10
I thought I was pretty regular but cycles have ranged from 25 to 34 days in past year or so! I think/hope that might be due to stress. Is etd estimated test date? Cos then mine would be 22/10.
Here's to a lucky month! I'm trying preseed this cycle.Smile

sk1pper · 22/09/2016 17:53

Just shout if you're missing or I've completely screwed up the data - tis possible, I'm all over the place today.

MissMagpie Pregnacare made mine a day longer. I've started taking then religiously this month so I'm expecting a 29 day cycle instead of 28. From what I read it's normal. Before having DD mine were 35 day cycles so having a baby also changed them.

SoozC · 22/09/2016 12:19

You're making me fancy pizza now, sk1pper! Ooh, a Domino's farmhouse stuffed crust... Shame my DP is quite healthy and would probably faint if I ordered one for dinner!

sk1pper · 22/09/2016 11:54

Welcome all! Will add you to the bus to tonight - getting quite busy now :)

I'm going to eat Brie for lunch. the perfect chaser for a pizza breakfast. If I start throwing up, its not morning sickness, just greedy pig sickness.

MissMagpie · 22/09/2016 11:02

Hi everyone. I am flagging this bus down and hopping on too, if you can squeeze me in?

I am 33 (34 at end of Oct)
TTC #2 (DS is 2 in Oct)
Cycle 4

My AF arrived this week and my cycles have suddenly decreased in length from 35+ to 28+ so not sure where/when/how anymore! I think it may be because I started taking pre-conception vitamins that have given my hormones a boost, as I was just taking folic acid before. So I don't know exactly when I am due to ovulate or anything!

It took me a year to conceive my son but that was after coming off the pill so I am hoping it will be quicker this time round.

I haven't tried any ovulation tests - just watching for the EWCM, which worked for me first time round once I read up on what it actually meant!

It seems like everyone I know who wants kids is getting pregnant at the moment, so it must be my turn soon! Surely?....

bairnsangs · 22/09/2016 10:58

Motherofunicorns I found that testing just before work and when I get home works ok. Sometimes I just test in the evening now that I know roughly when I get a strong positive (CD14-15) because there isn't always time to pee in a pot in the morning! The thought of trying to sneak a test at work stresses me out a bit but if there was more privacy I would def do it.

Maybe eating pizza is that answer to successful TTC skipper Grin

bairnsangs · 22/09/2016 10:52

Hi skipper could you add me to the bus please?

Is it normal to bounce wildly between desperately wanting to be pregnant and being terrified when TTC and coming into the fertile week?? Dropped DSS off at nursery today and he was crying and begging me to stay Sad it was really hard to leave and I'm now thinking how will I do that with another baby that grew in my tummy? Jeez, it's an emotional rollercoaster!

MrsPossitiveAttidude2016 · 22/09/2016 09:58

*3 year gap was best not year gap, bloody phone!

MrsPossitiveAttidude2016 · 22/09/2016 09:56

PurpleHaze someone told me that 3 years was the perfect age gap. They had 3 children with a 3 year gap and a 2 year gap and Sher said that the year gap worked best. I'm quite happy with any gap as long as I'm lucky enough to have another one.

sk1pper · 22/09/2016 09:55

Purple - well it will be a miracle if I've conceived this cycle as we were totally relaxed. Normally we are so careful with what we put into our bodies but this cycle I'm going nuts. Pizza on a Tuesday, then I've been eating it for lunch and breakfast all week. Don't even care Grin

Mimilicious013 · 22/09/2016 09:14

Morning ladies, hope you all have a great day.thanks skipper for the updates.cd4 here and af just exiting.so pretty much waiting for the sexathon to start next week

Congrats mumaFlowers

PurpleHaze1 · 22/09/2016 08:44

Pizza for breakfast sk1pper, I'm not judging Grin

Ah that's cool that our stats are very similar mrspositive. My DD is 27 months. If I conceive this cycle, my EDD will be her birthday & we'd end up with a 3yr age gap. That'd be perfect TBH but I'm trying not to add too much extra pressure this cycle Hmm

Hello to the new passengers. This is becoming a busy bus Smile hopefully lots of BFPs to come!

sk1pper · 22/09/2016 08:20

Welcome happy, mouse, unicorns. Let me know your next AF due dates if you haven't already.

Felt super queasy right now, even though I know it's too early for symptoms. Then I realised I just ate pizza for breakfast. FML.

Jumping over from the September bus as AF arrived this morning!

Age- 29
TTC #1
Cycle 4
CD1

I have been having long cycles since coming off the pill back in May but the positive news of AF showing today is that last cycle was my shortest yet (41 days, I ovulated on CD30!!!) so it is creeping shorter! Fx for lots of BFPs for everyone!

Catinthecorner · 22/09/2016 01:30

I'm out for now. Negative test and no period. No doubt it will arrive with our guests.

MrsPossitiveAttidude2016 · 21/09/2016 22:41

And initially I tested from CD10 until I figured out when I was ovulating. I normally get positive tests around CD14 so tend to start on CD12 until I get a positive.

MrsPossitiveAttidude2016 · 21/09/2016 22:36

MotherofUnicorns I don't really know what the proper rules of testing are but I would test just before work and just after work. It seemed to work for us when we were TTC #1.

Mumrahhhh · 21/09/2016 22:24

Hi motherofunicorns, I bought a double packnowledge of the cheap pregnancy tests from the pound shop and they came with a little plastic dish. I found that really good and an OK size to sneak about at work! I never take my bag anywhere apart from at lunch, so would be very suspicious if I suddenly start taking my bag to the loo with me! I'm not sure about testing times. I was testing once a day up until cd12, then started a few times, but no set times. I only just got a positive on cd17 and cd18 today. Hoping for temp rise in the morning. Hopefully someone else can tell you about timing. Good luck x

MouseLove · 21/09/2016 21:42

Ok, I'm jumping on the bus...

Age:32
TTC: #1
Cycle: #1
Days off pill: 6 days

I have no clue of my cycle, no AF as yet, nada else. On the pill for 12 years. No AF for last 12 months due to pill change.

MrsPossitiveAttidude2016 · 21/09/2016 21:19

Writer she's 20 months. I had always planned a 2-3 year gap but as the months go on I'm so worried that she'll be an only child. I was totally expecting the miscarriage as I have PCOS but it doesn't make it any easier. I'm becoming quite resentful of pregnant women and hate when they talk about their pregnancy. I really don't want to feeling like this because stress and negativity aren't going to help. I'm also getting quite frustrated with myself as I'm trying to be healthier to help conception but I also keep thinking it's never going to happen so what's the point.
