Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Haha writer obviously that toddler has nothing to do with your symptoms! When are you going to crack out the IC?
12dpo here, got a faint line on an IC yesterday so pulled out the big guns this morning. Got a lovely BFP on a FRER!! Still a bit unreal at the moment Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 27/09/2016 10:02

8dpo and boobs/nipples are quite sore today.

Clearly I'm pregnant and it's nothing to do with the fact I've bed shared with my ill toddler all night and he didn't stop groping them!!

I was convinced because I don't normally get many AF symptoms but got all of them last month!

I've been drinking grapefruit juice (yuck!), eating brazil nuts and taking epo this cycle, I told my OH I'm in the fertile window now so here's hoping!

Elles85 · 26/09/2016 22:09

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 Just one bean will do nicely for me. I know what you mean by others pregnant and I'm only cycle 4!

PurpleBella I felt like that last cycle too so don't want to get my hopes up too much but FX

purplebella · 26/09/2016 21:35

I had every symptom going last month and still got af! What's that about?! And I know what you mean Flashing, I sell loads of pg tests in the new year and spring time Wink. They all look so embarrassed!

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 26/09/2016 21:23

Elles85 thanks, I was dealing with it quite well until the whole world started announcing they were pregnant.

Defo sounds like ovulation pains. Fingers crossed you've got a sticky bean or beans 😉

sk1pper · 26/09/2016 20:47

flashing - definitely a sign Grin I love how everyone is so tongue in cheek with the symptom spotting.

I'll update the bus list tomorrow as we've had a couple of people join since my last update.

FlashingLights · 26/09/2016 20:33

Hard to keep up with everyone whilst I am working so much. It's crazy at work atm - yesterday was 9 months since Christmas and it certainly showed on labour ward!

Loving everyone's symptom spotting. Fx for lots of BFP's. I am 5dpo - since 3dpo I have had so much EWCM, more than pre. Of course I have convinced myself that is also a symptom Grin

Elles85 · 26/09/2016 20:09

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 - sorry to hear about the mc. I got a positive opk early Saturday and the pains started last night so I wouldn't DTD now either it's too painful

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 26/09/2016 19:39

Elles85 I get pains on and off for the whole fertile week. I'm going to say something quite controversial right now. We only DTD on the day I have a positive ov test. This is how I caught with my DD and with my miscarriage. The months we've done it every other day we didn't catch and I was sore to the point of tears. The point of my ramble is I can't just go by the pains because they start days before my positive tests.

MouseLove · 26/09/2016 19:23

Oh sk1pper Sad I think it's natural to think why them and not me. I went through a very sad phase a few years back of questioning everything, surely I must have done something to deserve all this bad luck. I'm sure we will both get there, keep positive!! X

Elles85 · 26/09/2016 19:17

Does anyone else get horrible ovulation pains? I'm not sure if it happened yesterday or today but I'm feeling it. If it's today I can't bd with dh but we've done it everyday for the past 5 days so I hope it's enough Confused

SoozC · 26/09/2016 17:48

I find myself fixating in how lucky my friends and colleagues who have children are and bring myself down wishing I had some too. I conveniently forget those friends who don't and all the other good things I have in my life. It's easy to get obsessed about it, isn't it?

Welcome, newbies, to our fabulous bus. Lots of bfps to come, I can feel it in my bones!

sk1pper · 26/09/2016 17:15

Buddub - I work in a massive office, there are often many pregnant women wandering around (most of who I don't know). Today I had to take check of myself as I saw an overweight woman, massively pregnant eating a big mack and drinking an extra large coke. I looked at her and thought, why does she deserve it and I don't, she's not even taking care of herself. And then I thought Jesus Christ, is this what I've become? Judging everyone's right to have a child. I really felt ashamed of myself.

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 26/09/2016 15:01

Just catching up with the convo. Found the spotty skin theory really interesting. I suffer from spots all the time. I'm assuming it's another PCOS problem. As if I don't have enough already. Anyway, the first time in my adult (since the age of 11) life I've ever had clear skin was the first 8-10 weeks of pregnancy with DD. I can't remember how long it lasted exactly but I was having a makeup trial for my wedding and she told me I had lovely clear skin. I looked in the mirror and literally couldn't understand what was going on. I didn't even know I was pregnant at this point. Also think it's amazing how you all know what your body's doing purely from your symptoms.

MotherofUnicorns · 26/09/2016 13:47

I'm loving all the symptom spotting! SO glad i am not alone.... AF due weds so if i haven't had anything by then i will test again. I have just organised 2 nights out next week though so actually not a bad thing that i am unlikely to be preggo then and i can have a couple of drinks.....
There's always a silver lining and all that.....

Mumrahhhh · 26/09/2016 13:38

Sorry to hear about the temp drop sk1pper, could be a 1 off. Flowers

I love the symptom spotting! I have one achey boob, a chin spot and a 4th day higher temp....it feels like bingo! Smile

buddub · 26/09/2016 12:00

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages.

And I also just have to say that It is so nice to have such great support here and to be 'on the journey' with all you other lovely ladies ttc.... my friends all have children who are now starting school and I feel so left behind at times (pathetic I know!) I feel like I'm stuck behind and now I always will be a bit. I know some people go for years and years ttc and still no luck and I know I'm lucky that I've managed to get pregnant once in the last 18 months of ttc which means I can but sometimes this is just so frustrating!!!

sk1pper · 26/09/2016 11:57

vanilla - hi, I remember you :)

So apparently as long as my temps don't go below the dotted line, it's fine. Someone on a different thread said the chart looked very good. I'm going to try and relax a bit now, sorry for the mild panicking.

In other news, the spot on my face hurts - even when I talk. Possible symptom? Grin I'm just going to go for bad skin this time.

NappingRabbit · 26/09/2016 11:55

I do but am going to try my best to hold out til Friday. I'm pretty sure I oved on Tuesday night so I think that's the very earliest I'd get a positive. Any testing before that doesn't really tell me anything, will just drive me insane!

Writerwannabe83 · 26/09/2016 11:41

nappingrabbit - do you have IC tests to start early testing with? Shall we be test buddies on Wednesday morning perhaps?? Grin

OP posts:
bairnsangs · 26/09/2016 11:25

Oh sk1pper how confusing! Perhaps this will be useful data - it might just take a while to spot a pattern?

Welcome vanilla and captain - the more the merrier!

Thanks for the luck mimi - no response to my taps on the shoulder last night but I guess "honey, I'm sure I just ovulated" isn't what you want to hear when you're sleep deprived and hungover. Fortunately we're both at home today so maybe it's not too late Wink

Well done me9an Star

CaptainWarbeck · 26/09/2016 10:52

Hello vanilla Smile Can I join too please? First month TTC #2, CD10, age 28. Not temping this time round because I got a bit obsessed with it last time, plus I have a 16m old who barely sleeps, so it is low down on my list of priorities first thing in the morning. But will start OPKs in a couple of days to keep tabs on that.

NappingRabbit · 26/09/2016 10:52

Of course vanilla, welcome!

Writer I also have a test date 7 days from now according to Ovia, but going by my last cycle AF is due Friday so I will also be testing sooner! I don't go in for symptom spotting though as when I got my BFP with DS I had no indication whatsoever. I'm just trying not to think about it til the end of the week.

Vanillaradio · 26/09/2016 10:43

Oh and just started cycle 5...
