Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

So I'm thinking i might have ovulated in the last few days Hmm. Either that or I'm really about to have my withdrawal bleed and my body has given me a pain break. My tummy and back ache have eased right off and I'm feeling less bloated but almost gassy??. If I class my first day off pill as CD1 then I'm CD14 today. I've totally missed the window if that's the case. Last DTD was Saturday. Sad

Urgh. So confused.

CaptainWarbeck · 29/09/2016 11:42

That looks positive to me purple!

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 29/09/2016 10:49

Lulu anyone who can reference Disney in every day life has a friend in me!

There are way too may comments to reply personally. I imagine gorillas DTD in the same way we do. Would Pregnancare help with LP (if you're not taking it already), it made mine longer by a day. Yep, that's definitely positive. You may get stronger later but you definitely have a green light there. Go, go, go! Sorry to hear about the failed DTD. I think some men think too much about, and it can be daunting when you've been avoiding pregnancy. Maybe it would be better not to tell him abut all the technical bits involved with creating life. Sorry about all the BFNs. It's so cruel when you keep getting them and AF is playing games. I have veiny boobs before AF is due. I really don't think this is normal. I think my body might be built wrong.

NappingRabbit · 29/09/2016 10:33

DTG 😂

Lulu I haven't trusted an Ursula since The Little Mermaid. Just saying.

Flashing that sounds awesome, enjoy!

FlashingLights · 29/09/2016 10:29

Dying at fornicating silverbacks and DTG!!

We are off to a child-free wedding tomorrow, 2 nights away. We've booked into the spa and a fancy restaurant today. I'm in the 2WW but I'm not going to say no to some cheeky Prosecco Grin

Lulu298 · 29/09/2016 10:08

Dtg!!! Am sitting in a M&S bra fitting room pmsl!

Am awaiting the return of Ursula with some bras. She is stern and smells of cigarettes.

PurpleHaze1 · 29/09/2016 09:38

As soon as DH's home tonight I'll DTG (Do The Gorilla) Grin

I think there's a level of delirium on the thread today! Ha ha!

Mumrahhhh · 29/09/2016 09:32

Looking good purple might get darker later, but can change quite quickly too. Get it on!

DS is 5, it'll be funny if he is right because when I fell pg with DS, the cat knew before me, he became my guard cat, very odd!

Flappergirl86 · 29/09/2016 08:59

Looks like a positive to me purple -get making like a Gorilla!
That said aren't gorillas quite bad at reproducing? like pandas? Maybe get making like a feral cat.

I'll pick up some wax strips after work writer....

MotherofUnicorns · 29/09/2016 08:58

BFN for me too but no AF and i am on cd30 (average of 26day cycle for last 3months). Cramping has gone.
weird.
Clearly not preggo but i want AF to arrive so i can get started on the next cycle......
i might get 2 gos on the october bus if AF hurries up!

Writerwannabe83 · 29/09/2016 08:50

..... I would love to see some gorillas doing the reverse cowgirl Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 29/09/2016 08:49

I'm now trying to picture what position gorillas have sex in.... Grin

OP posts:
NappingRabbit · 29/09/2016 08:49

Yep purple I would count that as positive, but as you say it may be darker later today.

Writerwannabe83 · 29/09/2016 08:48

Unfortunately next time we DtD I'm not gonna be able to take my mind off fornicating silverbacks. That'll get the juices flowing I'm sure :/

Perhaps if you take him to have a full body wax over the next few days it may help to break the association? Grin

Ooh will add vit C to my list, thanks Lulu! It's such a pain in the arse isn't it? I looked back at my charts from when I was TTC DS (I got a BFP first cycle but charted for 3 months in the run up to get an idea of how things worked) and my LP was short then too. So it's not a new thing, and didn't stop me getting pregnant then. Trying to take comfort from that!

PurpleHaze1 · 29/09/2016 08:47

Aw how old is your DS mumrahh?

So I've looked at this morning's OPK again & think it might actually be positive. Any thoughts? I'll test again later & hopefully get it even darker...

The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!
Lulu298 · 29/09/2016 08:39

Omg these comments Grinlolz! They're making me smile today.

Was hoping to start this cycle's dtd last night but tummy pains kept that off the menu.

Know what you mean napping about a frustratingly short luteal phase. Mine last month was 7 days??! Wtf? Think I will be going to H&B too today to get B6 and Vit c.

Mumrahhhh · 29/09/2016 08:32

Sk1pper what should a triphasic chart look like?

Sorry to hear all the BFNs, keep hoping ladies!

My DS said to me last night, completely out of the blue 'mummy, I don't want another baby, I've decided'...... we have poke to him about it over the last 9 months, to get him used to the idea (he's a proper mummy's boy), but we've not mentioned it for weeks!! I'm hoping it's a psychic moment hespecially having Smile

Flappergirl86 · 29/09/2016 08:21

That's reassuring writer -I suspected it was gonna be a bit awkward but was hoping for a happy ending at least! Fortunately my fertile window doesnt begin 'til Friday so he's got some time to have a word with himself before entering baby making territory.

As for bare backed -if it was a position I'd imagine it to be some kind of variation on the reverse cowgirl. Unfortunately next time we DtD I'm not gonna be able to take my mind off fornicating silverbacks. That'll get the juices flowing I'm sure :/

NappingRabbit · 29/09/2016 08:20

Thanks, I'll look it up. Just been googling on the train into work and I am going to take myself off to Holland and Barrett at lunchtime to buy strong vitamin B complex and soy isoflavones. I may also book some acupuncture. I hate the lack of control I have over TTC, so I need to at least feel like I'm doing something (besides the obvious Wink) to help it along.

MouseLove · 29/09/2016 08:19

Morning everyone. I'm in a good mood despite my DH having a huge nightmare about dying (not something I want to relive) and me having to spend a good 20 mins trying to calm him down in the middle of the night. I think the TTC chat is effecting him more than he lets on. Sad he's a gentle soul.

BUT he was fine this morning, my back is a bit better and I have a more determined to be more relaxed. I'm baking tonight for Macmillan coffee morning tomorrow so that should be a lovely distraction leading into the weekend. Mini goals. Hope everyone has a positive day. X

PurpleHaze1 · 29/09/2016 08:12

The first thing I though of was silver backed gorillas, and then the film "Brokeback Mountain" came to mind and then I thought of people riding horses bare backed....

I thought of brokeback mountain too! Grin

Just got a decent line on an OPK (not yet positive) so think I'll get a positive later today or tomorrow. Hopefully ovulate in a day or two Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 29/09/2016 08:06

napping - there's actually a thread about short luteal phases and you may find some good advice in there? You may have already seen it but just wanted to make you aware in case you hadn't.

Writerwannabe83 · 29/09/2016 08:05

Ha ha ha writer I did the exact same thing! I was thinking 'bare-backing...hmmm...hmm'

The first thing I though of was silver backed gorillas, and then the film "Brokeback Mountain" came to mind and then I thought of people riding horses bare backed....

Lots of random thoughts.... Grin

sk1pper only a month so maybe I will see a change with more time.

purple just one pill per day - can't remember the dosage Blush probably not enough. I'm going to read up on everything properly now.

writer I'm pretty sure it's AF as its exactly what happened last cycle.
