Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Twins for you too! Twins for everyone! Grin

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 17:43

Skipper I literally have everything crossed for this month. If we get our BFPs this month then we'll have our 12 week scan just before Christmas. That would be a fab (and cheap) gift for everyone. I'm trying very hard to stay positive.

I'm currently having right side pains. Also had left side pains yesterday. Maybe I'm in for a double ovulation.

Elles85 · 30/09/2016 17:39

I'm in on that bet Sk1pper Grin

purplebella · 30/09/2016 17:38

I'm with you sk1pper! We need more bpfs on this thread, and I promise to buy my baby a gorilla!

sk1pper · 30/09/2016 17:38

Actually I've changed my mind again, feel like a wall of PMS just hit me. Lol but I'm sure before Christmas is a feasible aim Grin

sk1pper · 30/09/2016 17:05

I'm doing that this cycle for sure. It was our most relaxed cycle to date because of the wedding but I've got a good feeling about this one. And if not I recon I can get it before Christmas. Who wants to join me in this bet? :) we can all do it. And if you get a BFP this year, we all buy a gorilla.

not the exciting stick not nice the exciting stick. Skipper just been reading the chapter in this book about positive thinking. Not bothered with it before because I'm quite the pescimist, but as I said this month is the beginning of a different mind set. It says that if you believe you'll get pregnant you have a higher hae of being pregnant. I know this is hard and when you've seen a million BFN it strips your hope. It says that instead of saying if I get pregnant you should say when I get pregnant.

SoozC · 30/09/2016 16:52

Flapper, a contact lense case?! Mine are all really small, I'd have trouble aiming accurately! I pee in a picnic cup that lives under the sink Grin

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 16:45

Mouse I have a weekend of POAS but like Flapper it's nice the exciting stick, and then I shall enter the dreaded 2WW AGAIN! I have a pee pot which I pee in first, but it mostly goes over my hands. They say practice makes perfect, not in this case.

sk1pper · 30/09/2016 16:01

Doesn't sound good writer I have to admit, especially if you're having some PMS.

I've had no PMS yet, was feeling bloated and heavy a couple of days ago now but now my tummy feels tight, like I've been working out. And still no real spotting as such just a tiny bit of old blood. I'll know for sure tomorrow if AF is on its way or not as the PMS normally hits me the night before.

purplebella · 30/09/2016 15:59

I'm going to hug him every day while I'm in my fertile window for luck!

When I took the photo my DD was going " no don't sell him", I think I'm on ebay too much!

Flappergirl86 · 30/09/2016 15:40

mouseI'm gonna POAS / PIAOCLPADASI (pee in an old contact lens pot and dip a stick in) but only for OPK so it doesn't have the same thrill. I'll post some pictures anyway because why not.

Flappergirl86 · 30/09/2016 15:36

Mrs what I saw can never be unseen...hopefully it can be wiped off my internet history.

Sorry to hear it's not looking hopeful writer but you're still not out. Do you have a gut feeling one way or the other? x

MouseLove · 30/09/2016 15:32

Omg Flapper that made my afternoon. I've had a hectic one at work and I'm having a sneaky mid-afternoon hide before going back to my desk.

Urgh. Well AF still not here officially 2 weeks now since finishing the pill and nothing. Tummy aches eased a few days ago. Had hardly anything today apart from needing the loo for number 2 a few times which is weird but knowing my luck I've had a bug or something lol

Anyone POAS this weekend???

Writerwannabe83 · 30/09/2016 15:06

Grin Grin @ flapper!! Loving the idea of green gorilla baby outfits!!

I've bee crampy this morning and when I wiped I had clear wet CM tinged with a few flecks of blood so I'm sure my period is on its way. I've had this before and dreamed it was implantation bleeding but it never was so I'm not doing it again.

Flapper I dread to think what you typed in to Google to get those pics.

Bairn I have another friend who has not long announced her pregnancy who stated trying well after me. Surely it's our turn now?

bairnsangs · 30/09/2016 14:31

Honestly can't get over those gorilla pics Flapper Grin

skipper I'll let you know what I think about it and whether it seems any better than the info I've been able to find online and on MN

NappingRabbit · 30/09/2016 14:27

Flapper 😂😂

Captain and Mrs I'm in the same boat with pregnancy buddies, I've missed the boat with a couple of friends (their lovely babies have arrived) and don't think anyone else I know is TTC just now Sad

I read that book already Captain ! Quite enjoyed it - nice and clear and quick to read. Will definitely consult again! She recommended Taking Charge so I thought I'd get the paper copy of that to help with TTC but also for non-hormonal birth control in the future...perhaps...I'm thinking about it.

Flappergirl86 · 30/09/2016 14:21

A typical silver backed October busser in around 9 months.

Flappergirl86 · 30/09/2016 14:19

Me at around 7pm tonight

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 14:14

Captain I totally sympathise with you. A friend got her BFP in Feb and I started in March. She's due in November and I'm still babyless. I was hoping we'd be bump buddies.

Sk1pper I like The Fertility Diet by Sarah Dobbyn. I have another one wich is like a 3 month plan and I don't like that she says if you don't get your BFP in 6 months then you need to get tests done. Every one knows it can take a lot longer than that for even the healthy people. The book is quite unrealistic in other ways too, such as you should only eat organic and you should have no enjoyment in life.

CaptainWarbeck · 30/09/2016 14:12

Yeah to be honest I think it probably can, that book is very readable though with interesting stuff on research about trying to plan the sex of the baby, all the different things you can chart and best times to test etc. I think the fertility friend website has an ebook about it all you can download for free, that's informative but a bit more dry.
