The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Bfn. Really thought I was pg this month. Had coil out July 25. Obv this is wrecking my cycle. Last one was 37 days. I am now on cd39.

AF arrive today so I'm out! At least I wasn't late so I won't be on during my wedding. Had a 26 day cycle next test date will be 1/11. Hopefully there will be lots more BFPs on the October bus!

Mother, everyone's different but if I got a line like that I would be expecting to get a positive (and therefore ovulate) probably the next day. As rosebud says, most people get a second line all the time as there's always LH in the body but I don't get a line as dark as that unless I'm close to ovulation. It is hard to say though as everyone is so different so it's about getting to know how your own body works Smile I have also heard that before AF some women get darker lines, I have never personally experienced this though so not sure if it's true or not. Hoping not for you and so you should DTG!

I'm cd15 and my opk line is virtually non-existent. I think I normally ovulate on cd17/18 so hope they get darker over the next few days.

Does anyone think "bank" like The Weakest Link after dtd/dtg?!?

Also, if those are the one step tests. I find them utterly useless. I have a dark 2nd line all of the time. Where as with the other cheapies I only have a line a 2nd line just before ovulation. Apparently this is due to PCOS as this brand are very sensitive.

It could mean that you're nearly ovulating or it could just be like that because your body is playing games. It will be as dark as or darker. Most women have a 2nd line at every stage of their cycle. You only know you're ovulating when the 2nd line is at it's darkest. It's a bit of trial and error at the beginning. Try googling images of positive tests so you have an idea of what you're looking for.

It won't hurt to DTD now though. If you're close to ovulation on either side then sending some swimmers up there won't be a bad thing.

I figured out what the metal taste was. Definitely have a cold/cough on the way. Yay! (Not)

Ok brilliant. Now I have anew thing to obsess about!! Cheapo OPKS. I just did one after work and this is the result. I think that looks medium dark - is that about right? Does it get darker than the control?
Also does this mean I am gearing up for ovulation or could it poss mean I have ovulated already and LH is on its way back down? Or or.do the lines just disappear after ovulation?
Sorry for all the questions.
I'm taking this as mea ming I might be nearing ov so should just dtg asap!!

At least we know that we're not alone. Was at stage 4 last night, now back to stage 3. Can't wait to get this cycle over with.
