Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Flowers, Chocolate and to all who need it today.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Make sure you all treat yourself this weekend.

(what is preseed?)

LondonJem · 23/09/2016 08:28

Morning girls sorry so many of us are struggling. This bus needs an engineer or two.

Preseed arrived yesterday, gave it a whirl last night. Did not use applicator but can definitely see it being a help.

Hope there are some nice weekend plans afoot. I'm eyeing up London design week to feed my ceramics obsession Brew

BrewWineChocolate all round xx

Sorry pug Flowers

Everyone together now "you are not alone, I am here with you... La, la, la, la"

Today I am testing out theory itchines has come from an allergy to Folate - I switched from folic Acid on sunday...

AliceScarlett · 23/09/2016 07:47

Oh everyone, what is this doing to us. I can relate to most of war and peace here. At least we are not alone in our misery...? That's all I've got.

Pug Sorry the witch got you.

Please can I have a bus ticket for 14 Oct Hep?

Although I'm not sure there much point as I'm away with work over my fertile period / Ov. It'll be the first time in 16 months that we've missed a cycle entirely, but tbh I'm quite looking forward to it - I think I've gone past the point of caring so much. I'm sure I'll feel differently when AF come around though, but it can't be helped this time.

jellyella · 23/09/2016 07:17

Flowers to alexia, pug, ladybird, peaches, skipper and everyone else who needs them. It's a really crappy rollercoaster of emotions. Without the fun bits....

purpleladybird · 22/09/2016 23:45

Alexia I could have written what you wrote earlier. I am so utterly fed up of it all too. I have long and irregular cycles so I spend weeks at a time having to time my toilet breaks to piss on a bloody stick all in the vein hope that OH is able and willing to have sex with me. When he can't DTD and I can't get pregnant it makes me feel doubley shit. I hate it when I know AF is coming (I can actually trust my boobs a bit) but waiting as I know I've potentially 6 weeks until we can have another go at pissing on a load more sticks and see if OH will shag me.

I've had to take a mental break from it all at the moment. Still pissing on sticks, still LSFX, but told myself (and Oh) we're not 'trying' until the new year. It's bloody ridiculous as I am still obsessing and still hoping and every month which goes by I'm a month older. But somehow it feels like the right thing to do for my sanity more than anything.

I know none of that helps in the slightest but just so you know, you are not alone.

HepKestrel · 22/09/2016 22:09

Flowers Alexia sorry you had a bad day. Its natural, but you shouldn't try to compare lives.

My prescription: : sit in the sunshine in the garden with nice cup of yorkshire tea, (optional cat on your lap) and listen to buz Lehmann's sunscreen.

AlexiaB · 22/09/2016 21:37

Crossposts Pug. I'm so sorry AF arrivedSadFlowersWine It's so cruel. I'm totally the same cycle-wise, most frustrating. Big hugs xx

AlexiaB · 22/09/2016 21:35

Thanks everyoneFlowers

Nicky I appreciate how frustrating that must be for you but having a set cycle would make my life so much easier. The stress of not knowing when I'll O and having to wait weeks/months for it is not fun.

Thanks a lot Kwick - I didn't take your message like that at all. I take vit D and have a garden so I'm sorted in that respect. You're all so lovely. CheersWine Jem

Hope you're all having a better evening than me. I've lost the plot. Cue full meltdown, tears, screaming and the worst WhatsApps to DH ever. I was looking back through my Facebook messenger app (don't ask) and I didn't expect to see an old convo from 2014 with an ex friend of ours. Immediately I noticed a newborn baby display pic and panic set in. I snooped on his Facebook page to see they have just had a beautiful baby girl. It hit me like a train, I could barely breath. It was like seeing my life played out by someone else (who I really don't like). The icing on the cake was that they named her Isabella which is 'our' name. I completely lost it. The guy always said he never wanted kids so it killed me inside to see them have what I want so badly. What an awful day. Tomorrow has to be better surelyHmm

Si1ver · 22/09/2016 21:32

I'm sorry to hear that pug

Glass of wine?

Pugmummy87 · 22/09/2016 21:24

Alexia totally get where you are coming from with the messed up cycles. I never know when AF will arrive, just a rough guess and often it's completely out. Can't make head nor tail of my charts as it looks like the rocky mountains.

Cycle 12 is here. Angry

Flappergirl86 · 22/09/2016 19:37

Thanks for the welcome ladies! Kestrel my next period is due 17th October. I love that you have a database. x

LondonJem · 22/09/2016 18:51

Big hug from me alexia and anyone struggling with this. silver I was nodding away reading your post about how this all makes you feel. Especially the pressure it puts on your relationship. If we miss one shag it's world war three. How did my life come to this???

Welcome flapper hope you have a short successful ttc journey

nicky was going to echo you - predictable 29 day cycles over here and not even a whisper hint so much as a twinkle of a fart of a bfp, ever.

How can this be so hard, haven't we got a population problem on this planet...

Hugs girls I've just poured a small glass Wine to unwind this evening. Cheers to you all.

kwick · 22/09/2016 18:37

Welcome flapper!!! Gross stories??? From us lot??? never!!!

alexia sorry if previous post seemed a bit light hearted... I am really sorry that you are findings things hard... I know how difficult depression can be. Sorry again if my advice seems light hearted but please make sure you get as much sunlight as possible - not sure if you have any outside space where you live. Also if you are not already start taking vitamin D - can help with TTC as well as state of mind.

sk1pper · 22/09/2016 18:35

Yeah they should not have used a celebrity who had no existing or known fertility issues. It didn't make me feel warm or fuzzy at the end. The girl born without a womb (can't remember the name of the condition) - that made me cry.

kwick · 22/09/2016 18:24

Jesus I just take a short break and you guys write war & peace Grin

No vino for me - stopped all those kind of shenannigans a year ago!!!

moose you work too much

So I watched the Fertility Program - wanted to punch her lights out at the end. I think they shared just enough info to be dangerous - it is so much more complex and as we all know going to your GP - as she repeatedly suggested - does not always help much!!! AngryAngryAngry I found the stories moving but her annoying!!!

Sorry alice Flowers

peaches take care Flowers

hep you will be a fantastic mummy alongside the fantastic daddy your OH will make.

alexia Flowers sorry you are feeling down - this is a fricking hard road to travel. Take comfort you are not alone here and in RL. Virtual hugs - I give really good hugs in RL so I am sure my virtual ones are even better.

silver Flowers what a fcuker

Nicky883 · 22/09/2016 18:22

Alexiab if its any consolation i have clockwork cycles and positive opk every month on the same day for 9 cycles now still no bfp !
Welcome flapper !!
Hope your journey is short :)

sk1pper · 22/09/2016 18:09

Alice - sorry AF got you :(

Alexia - and sorry you're feeling down. Every woman on this thread is an inspiration though, and I don't want anyone to be defeated by it.

I recon we'll have a BFP this month, I can feel it in my waters. Is that a thing?

HepKestrel · 22/09/2016 17:57

MrsLoz i'm a big believer in not putting your life on hold whilst ttc. We don't know when things could happen. i'm just looking forward to being allowed to dtd again ! Blush

welcome flapper ! rants and TMI are all welcome here!

my brief experience into pregnancy - there is absolutely no dignity in it !! we may as well get used to it Grin

all dates are updated on my spreadsheet. flapper do you have a estimated-date-of-next-AF?

AlexiaB · 22/09/2016 17:42

I somehow missed your post earlier Moose. I was another one who thought it would happen first time. That was way back in February 2015 now. LSFX it's not AF on the way for you. My apologies for totally bringing the PMA mood down.

Peaches I completely get how you feel too, especially the bit about it taking a toll on you and just realising it now. I have been ignoring a new rash I have on my left palm and I know it's to do with stress/mc. DH is making me book a GP appointment to get it checked out, and also to discuss depression and anxiety. I've been avoiding leaving the house lately which is very unhealthy but I just don't want to see the world and I don't want the world to see me.

Si1ver I'm glad you get it too, but also hate that you have to go through this too. I hate my mum for the exact same reasons you mentioned and my 'best' friend who keeps saying "it'll happen". Yeah because you came off the pill and were pregnant 2 WEEKS later! Even the Dr couldn't believe it happened that quickly. Totally get the plans thing too. Hope you and H get back on track tonight, one night won't hurt but I understand how it feels when your dtd plans fail. LSFX.

Welcome flapper :)

WingingIt83 · 22/09/2016 17:32

Jem I have before as well but usually accompanied by lots of ewcm from about cd13/14 and positive opks on cd15 but generally no later. Even when I've ov'd that late I still have the same length cycle hence luteal of about 9 days.

Si1ver hugs to you too, it's quite cathartic getting it written down, hence why I've come back onto MN more regularly. I had a break for a couple of cycles but found it more upsetting. Being here and seeing others in the same boat is making me able to accept it more -misery loves company after all!

I'm a big believer in things happen for a reason, and whilst right now my plans have completely gone out the window (really didn't want to be in the later stages of pregnancy over the summer months) what will be will be and going to try and spend the next few months planning things I wouldn't have been able to do had I been upduffed back in May as planned!
That's the plan anyway - watch me be a tearful mess in approx. 2 weeks time!

Flappergirl86 · 22/09/2016 17:16

I've been Lurking for months as my fella and I have been waiting to have a blow out holiday before TTC. Today is the last day of said holiday (I'm sat in a Hipster cafe in NYC surrounded by skinny bohemians writing their latest edgy screenplay on their macs) and looks like the last day of my period so we're good to go when we get home.
I think I've picked up most of the abbreviations from creeping on you all for the past few months (thank you for sharing your funny, gross and sometimes heartbreaking stories) but bare with me if not.
So heres my stats / some of them

Me: 30 in November
Him: 36
TTC: #1
Cycle #1

I have all kinds of fears and and am pretty neurotic when it comes to matters of pregnancy but theres plenty of time to let the crazy seep out over the coming months.

Pleased to meet y'all x

MrsLoz · 22/09/2016 17:05

Hey ladies

I've been awol for a while so just been catching up.

Hugs silver , I'm the same when it comes to plans, been invited on 2 abroad hen weekends next year and turned one down already as i would hope to be pregnant then. The second one I would only be able to go if I fell pregnant within the next 2 cycles. What is worse is I don't want to tell people we are TTC so have to make up excuses not to go and then feel guilty for lying!

Hep can you put me down to test on 11th please x

Si1ver · 22/09/2016 16:18

Oh god Alexia it's so fucking awful isn't it.

I get all the hating HAVING to have sex, the weight of expectations every month, the lack of sex because you actually feel horny or for fun. I'm barely speaking to my husband today because we didn't have sex last night* (despite having it the night before) because we'd agreed to have sex three days in a row as soon as I hit peak fertility and now I know I'm going to blame him when this month's inevitable bfn rolls around when of course it's not his fault.

I hate TTC as well, I hate the hope and the massive AF downers. I hate both my sisters who conceived all their children on the first month of trying. I hate my best friend who has just had twins and got knocked up as soon as she stopped the pill.

I'm fed up of people assuming I'm careerist and making the "not motherly person" type comments. I'm fed up of this taking over my life. Not wanting to make plans incase I'm pregnant at that point and then having nothing to look forward to because NO PLANS.

*we did have sex he couldn't finish
