Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Sk1pper I understand, it's hard not knowing what's up. How long have you been TTC?

Lol yes it's crazy. Really hoping I Ov soon because I'm bored now!

sk1pper · 25/09/2016 14:42

Thanks alexia, I think if I wasnt struggling to conceive the chart wouldn't have freaked me out so much but I thought i was having somewhat of a eureka moment when I saw the dip. But nope, still no idea what's going on in my body.

CD37 is insane though, surely you must ov soon?

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 25/09/2016 14:38

Thanks all for the welcome and luck

Thanks music just glad to be doing something now!

Loving the PMA Smile

AlexiaB · 25/09/2016 11:39

Was also meant to say don't feel sheepish at all. It's all so new the first month so it's hard not to freak out over every little thing. I didn't find your concerns silly at all x

AlexiaB · 25/09/2016 11:36

Great news Sk1pper! Let me know what your next few temps are like :) I still haven't ovulated my body hates me! Temp was only 36.13 today on cd37 Hmm

sk1pper · 25/09/2016 11:22

love - welcome!

music - temps rocketed to 36.87 today, just as alexia said it would, so feel a bit sheepish for freaking out now

nicky - that is really interesting stuff. I hope I'm the former and my body's just rejecting the dodgy eggs. There's no way I'd be as strong as Hep and others have been with dealing with MC.

LondonJem · 25/09/2016 11:08

Not tmi at all Grin I know what huh mean. Before all this ttc shite I never noticed fertile cm really either. Not it's so unmistakable I wonder how I ever missed it.

Keep calm and carry on DTD is my new mantra! Halo

Mummyh2016 · 25/09/2016 10:57

Hi LONDON

I've never really paid attention to stuff 'down there' up until now so when this jelly stuff (sorry if tmi) came out of nowhere it did seem a bit strange!!
I need to stop googling, it's got me paranoid I've got PCOS now. Esp because 10 years ago I had to go for a scan as I didn't have a period for 6 months. The scan came up normal but it was mentioned that there was something on the scan indicating that I could have PCOS. No further tests or treatment was actioned though, and when I was 18 I didn't care, I was too bothered about going out every weekend and getting drunk. Then getting caught 3 years later made me think that it was nothing.

AlexiaB · 25/09/2016 10:45

Welcome Love Smile

Hep sounds perfect to me! LSFX you're upduffed well before April/your birthdayGrin Glad you're feeling positive and getting back to normal.

Mummy unfortunately cervical mucus isn't that reliable. It's possible to have several patches of fertile cervical fluid in the same cycle. Nicky is right, the only way to confirm you're ovulating (other than a blood test) is to chart your BBT where you should see a clear and sustained temp shift after ovulation. Even OPKs aren't 100% reliable. You can catch the LH surge but not go on to ovulate for whatever reason (happened to me this month). If your cycles aren't regular I'd take the App fertile week predictors with a pinch of salt. They're always way off for me, it's best to have sex every 2-3 days to give yourself the best chance if your body is unpredictable. I learnt the hard way and totally missed the FW a lots.

Nicky thanks for sharing!

Jem good to hear you're a fanGrin

LondonJem · 25/09/2016 10:38

Hi loveyou good luck with your tests

mummy EWCM usually appears just before you ovulate, ready to help the sperm up. I usually get it before I get the positive OPK. Why was your partner horrified? Ignore the apps, relax and keep up the OPK and DTD is my advice Smile

hep sounds perfectly logical to me lovely PMA

Couple of days in using preseed and I'm a fan. Definitely helps gets things going more quickly.

Nicky883 · 25/09/2016 10:34

One thing i forgot to mention that i found intesting.
During my fertility mo at create fertility clinic the doctor took half an hour explaining the ins and outs of conception . He then said that a woman up to the age of 35 usually has 1 in 10 eggs that is viable for pregnancy ( i was shocked by that stat) and this is why they say it ahould take a year to concieve !
He also said that some bodies can identify when a fertilizer egg is no good and prevent it from implanting while other dont and it ends up in miascarriage
I was very suprised by these facts ! Thought i should share :)

Nicky883 · 25/09/2016 10:29

mummy no ewcm is your body telling you is preparing to ovulated . But you can not tell for sure you have ovulated based only
On cm . The ontly thing that can confirm ovulation is a rise in your basal body temperature for 3 days in a row . The rise comes from
The production of progesterone after ovulation this is the hormone that the doctors check during a blood test to confirm ovulation

Welcome loveyou !

HepKestrel · 25/09/2016 10:26

Welcome LoveYou ! I have added you to the list.

Mummy i don't know about EWCM... it depends on the person. I didn't really notice much correlation between EWCM and opk.

I think my hormones are (almost) back to normal ? I have my normal flat Sad, nonsensitive boobs back, and my resting heart rate is back down to 60-63. I think i am going to brave not wearing panty-liners again, as I think i have stopped bleeding again. (touch wood...)

So feeling quite positive.... any way, I have been thinking (dangerous I know Wink, It took me 10 months from stopping the pill to getting pregnant the first time. However 2 months I wasn't having AF (so presumably wasn't ovulating either). Another 2 months I can discount because we failied to dtd during FW. So really we only took 6 cycles/months to conceive .... So if i start ttc in mid october, I'll certainly be pregnant by April Grin and before my 38th birthday in May. Simples Grin . Plus, I am clearly an OPK expert now Wink

please - no one spot any flaws in that logic Grin

Mummyh2016 · 25/09/2016 10:10

Hi everyone. I was the one having a breakdown a couple of weeks ago when my best friend announced she was pregnant. This carried on for a week and I'm still agitated now (this is due to work though I think, been a stressful week!).
Been using OPKs this month. 2 of the fertility apps I've been using had me down to ovulate 5 days ago and today. I've been using the one predicting today more though so got up this morning all excited to POAS to be disappointed when only one line came up again. I know the apps are only rough but I'm starting to stress now that I'm not ovulating monthly. Do you all ovulate every month?
Saying that I am 99% sure that I did last month as whilst DTD 4 weeks ago my DP was horrified by some EWCM. At the time I just said it was normal but then googling afterwards it showed it was a sign of ovulation. My next question is if/when you have EWCM does it mean your definitely ovulating?

Musicgrrl · 25/09/2016 09:24

Hi Love - great to have you! Good luck with your tests. It must feel good to be doing something positive to help you towards your BFP.

sk1pper what happened with your temps today? Has it made anything any clearer?

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 25/09/2016 08:41

Hi all, please can I join? I have been on before but not the best time for me then.
I'm 29, TTC #1, not sure number of cycles but it's been just over 18 months of trying now.
We've recently started tests with GP, I've had day 3 bloods and DH will be doing his SA next week, day 21 bloods booked for me too. At least we're getting somewhere with something!
Good luck to everyone, congrats moose Grin
Oh, I've been a little irregular lately but I think AF is due 12/10

LondonJem · 24/09/2016 21:25

nicky his count was 105 million and motility 45% progressive - both good. Yes I think not DTD every single day is better for low count. It's terrifying getting your head around all this but I would rather know what we are up against. I hope you get your bfp and don't have to investigate.

Thanks alexia fx for your oh results. I will check out the fertility friend threads. Only just got my head around female fertility - this male route is a whole new ball game!

AlexiaB · 24/09/2016 21:06

Jem I think since your OH had good results with everything else a second sperm analysis is essential before panicking and to get a better picture. Taking supps like Proxeed could help and I guess it would make you feel proactive. I think since you've been going for it during the FW, and as you have very regular cycles, you could try "saving" a better sample for the day before ovulation. You can then go again on O day. It might do the trick. I'm no expert but there's lots of support on Fertility Friend for male issues. Also, as everything else is good with the SA I've read IUI would be a good/cheaper option to try before IVF.

I really feel for youFlowers It must be overwhelming. I'm scared of what my DH's results will be like. I'm not expecting great news.

Nicky883 · 24/09/2016 20:45

Londonjem from what i ve red morphology is not considered that serious and there are no studies confirming that it affects fertilization! Is your dh count and mobility good ? Every other day (EOD) dtd is recomended if there is lower count from what i know not for morphology ?

Cd 24 here and getting cramps Sadguess af is on her way again
Dh said we should try another month before he goes for an sa test it really frustrates me i really wanted to know ! I think he is scared to check ! Tbh i am scared too !
I am so over this

sk1pper · 24/09/2016 20:41

Kwick - glad it's sorted ;) should be okay now, just try not to cut the power on it cos it will have a hissy fit

LondonJem · 24/09/2016 20:39

alexia it's so confusing! I've read supplements don't make much difference to morphology - that it's the hardest thing to influence. geeup recommended proxeed so we might try that though.

We tend to go for it during fertile week, yes. What's EOD?

AlexiaB · 24/09/2016 20:19

Well done kwick

That's tough Jem Sad ICSI is definitely the best IVF route for morph issues but personally I would put my DH on the best supps possible for 3 months and then repeat the sperm analysis to compare samples. If I remember correctly you like to BD every day of the fertile week where possible? I have read on FF it's best to keep BD to EOD or some even wait 3-4 days to save up a "bigger/better" sample xx

LondonJem · 24/09/2016 20:05

Hurrah well done kwick Cake

Difficult conversation with DH this evening about low morphology.. having read a LOT online I'm wondering if we might need ICSI. He doesn't want to hear it Sad

skipper I had one of the white sky boxes and when my darling nephew prompted me to get technical assistance as it was not recording right I was informed that it was so out of date they no longer provide technical support for it Blush so I managed to get a deal on a new box... Which arrived real fast but I have been too scared to try and connect - things always go wrong and also I knew I would have probs with the cables.
First issue: I had to do some extra steps to get it to inititate or something like that
Second issue: no satellite signal - one of the cables was loose
Right now its working and the picture quality is sooooooo much better plus so many more features.
