Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hey, popping back in to say hello and give hugs, chocolate, various cake etc.

Congrats damson
Good luck kwick
Xx

LondonJem · 01/09/2016 18:02

Congrats damson!

Spotting and no AF inspector? Fingers crossed for you!

InspectorPenguin · 01/09/2016 17:55

Hi everyone, nice to see we managed a new thread without Stark's help!
(Btw, 28 weeks?? How the hell did that happen?!)

I haven't had time to fully catch up yet so I'm cheekily place marking... But big congrats Damson Star and very pleased to see all the tiny beans are behaving themselves :)

Best of luck for tomorrow Kwick! It sounds very exciting but mega nerve wracking at the save time. We are ALL rooting for you!

My stats:
Name: InspectorP
Age: 35 (most of you lot are so young!! Envy)
CD: 31 of Cycle 6 so impatiently waiting for AF to show up so I can move on to #7.

Cycles have been between 31-38 days since coming off the pill, and travelling could have mucked me up a bit this month, but given my spots arrived a few days ago I reckon I'm in for a weekend visit. Which will be bloody typical since I'm away with DP Angry

Here's hoping we continue our recent spate of BFPs in this thread. Good luck everyone!

HepKestrel · 01/09/2016 14:26

nicky do what ever you need to do to have lots of low-stress fun dtd Smile

but also .... Enjoy your holiday !!!!

nicky883 · 01/09/2016 14:14

Hep i havent used opks for 4 cycles now so i thought i should get some for the holidays ! Bad idea ?:p

kavanaughkj · 01/09/2016 14:08

Ooooh! Comfy new thread. I approve of the gorilla, too.

Like Jem and Moose I am on cycle 9, currently 4 DPO. I'm 37, married earlier this year (took me a while to find the right fella) and am trying to be chill about all of this.

Congrats Damson!! How great after such a long wait :-) and great news Kwick, will be keeping fingers crossed for you!

HepKestrel · 01/09/2016 12:47

damson
i had an early scan (nhs) accidently as my dates were a mystery.

depending on your circumstances, you can consider having a private scan for reassurance.

There really isn't much to see before 6 weeks. I think my scan was on the edge of finding the heartbeat.

5 weeks (equally 7 weeks) is early, but bfps don't lie. pma. today you are pregnant. This is my morning mantra.

i'd like to tell you that symptom spotting ends with the bfp ........... but it doesn't!

Damson9 · 01/09/2016 12:37

Thanks guys. I'm super stoked, but hugely apprehensive. I'm really not sure how I'm going to get through the next seven weeks until a scan! It still doesn't feel real!

Thanks Hep, I'll take a look at that :) and belated congrats to you and Marmite! The HSG is the procedure where they inject dye into your uterus and watch it spill through your tubes via a live-action X-ray to see if there are any blockages. While there's no official line on it improving fertility, there does seem to be an unofficial trend of BFPs in the three months following one. It wasn't much fun, though, but the video was amusing to watch!

HepKestrel · 01/09/2016 12:30

sorry Nicky

but holiday dtd ! fx

no opks or temping on holiday though just a lot of fun WinkWink

marmitecheesetoast · 01/09/2016 12:25

Sorry for AF Nicky

Yay congrats Damson!!Star I'm 7+4 and also totally petrified, but excited!

HepKestrel · 01/09/2016 12:22

congratulations damson ! FlowersFlowers

the rule of this thread has always been "rants welcome" !

when you feel ready, come and join the graduates www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2716540-Thread-11-TTC-1-Grads-Babies-Arriving-Or-Look-At-What-I-Made-With-My-Genitals?

there are a few 6-7 weekers there (including myself and marmite)

what is HSG?

nicky883 · 01/09/2016 12:11

Confratulations damson !! I have heard that about the hsg too ! You must be thrilled

Damson9 · 01/09/2016 11:44

So... I joined the last thread a couple of weeks ago. After 17 months of trying, I was getting pretty down and just wanted somewhere to have a bit of a rant and feel like folks knew what I was going on about. You were all very nice and made me feel lots better.

Well, it looks like you ladies have been my lucky charm: I'm about 5 weeks pregnant! ShockGrin

It's easy for me to say now, but don't give up hope. I have a friend who also took 17 months and now has a healthy one-year-old.

I had an HSG in July and we'd agreed to give it a few months after that as there's anecdotal evidence that as it flushes your tubes out it improves fertility for a few months. We had, however, already been to an open evening at our chosen fertility clinic and were planning our first IVF consultation.

Obviously, it's still early days for us, but we're thrilled, excited and petrified in equal measure!

bluebird3 · 01/09/2016 09:30

Hi everyone

Bluebird
Age 30
Ttc #1
Cycle 19..20? Started April 2015

It's been a long haul. No CPs, no MCs, just no BFPs ever. 2 day 21 bloods confirm I'm not ovulating (or not regularly) despite regular 28 day cycles. Dh just had a SA test that showed moderately low speed count. Waiting for another blood test and SA test before GP will refer to the fertility clinic.

Trying to be patient as its dsis wedding abroad in May and wouldn't want to miss it really. Original plan was to have a couple months off ttc in order to not miss it, but after the SA results we decided to f* it and keep trying bc you never know.

I tend to dip in and out of the thread depending on how well I'm coping but always come back to see how everyone is getting on. Really excited for you kwick! Best of luck for Friday. :)
