Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Morning everyone.

FX for some BFPs coming along in the next few days.

I've been getting some red spotting today when I've been to the loo. Only when wiping, hoping this is not the start of AF!

InspectorPenguin · 06/09/2016 09:58

Morning all. And hello new people!

Wonderful news about scans/embryos Marmite and Kwik, hope you're both doing well and somehow managing to focus on other stuff. I can only imagine how all-consuming it must be once you have a BFP or are harbouring Peruvian blastocyts!

Hope you're feeling better Miw Flowers

From that new listing it looks like loads of you are on similar cycles/test dates. I think I'm the biggest anomoly! Looks like AF finally showed up today, so that put me back to a 35 day cycle when I had been steadily creeping down to 31 which is a bit annoying but maybe I can blame it on my long-haul travel last month... Anyway, on to Cycle 7 now and I think due to test around 9th October.
I might get some of the cheap OPKs from Amazon this time around just to keep an eye on what's going on.

Have a good day everyone, hope to see some BFP pictures very soon from you :)

HepKestrel · 06/09/2016 08:24

Your maths is fine kwick

kwick · 06/09/2016 06:46

binky as my bmi is high I take 5mg of folic acid a day - I am just about to switch to Folate which is the natural form of folic so should be better absorbed by the body... Cannot find 5mgs so will be taking 5 1000mcgs a day - hope I have the maths right!!!
I also take vit b complex, vit c, vit e, vit d. I really recommend a book called "it starts with the egg" - I was taking before ET co-enzyme q10 and DHEA.

miw get well soon Flowers

You guys should stop freaking out about swimmers... What about moi I have a lovely healthy embryo inside moi made from swimmers of a man I have never even met let alone kissed!

Peaches8Posies · 05/09/2016 21:57

Been there, done it, bought the t-shirt!! Grin

If we didn't laugh we would cry......and trust me I've done plenty of both!!

HepKestrel · 05/09/2016 21:48

peaches thanks! i'm ok for now,

and nope i don't think symptom spotting ever stops! it continues after the bfp!

my experience over the last 3.5 months is that :

i thought i had pregnancy symptoms when i wasn't
i thought i had menopause symptoms when i wasn't
thought i wasn't pregnant when i was ....

can i be officially declared the worst person at symptom spotting ? Grin
sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself !

Peaches8Posies · 05/09/2016 21:26

Yes girls, glad it's not just me freaking out a little over the invasion of the little swimmers Grin this better all be worth it!

hep feel free to ask away if you have any questions you would like to ask. Glad your feeling OK with everything going on. Sounds like you and your OH are a good support for one another. Being able to share everything makes it soo much easier x. My cycles have been a bit random but I reckon middle of next week for my bus ticket if you want to stick me on your list Smile

miw hope it passes soon not what you need Flowers

alexia im pretty much on par with what you are taking (some days I feel like a tube of smarties I've soo many pills inside me Grin) never heard of vitex though? Will need to look in to this....

Currently lying on the couch with cramp. Either a good sign or I'm going to have pms and cramps for a week before af arrives Confused guess I'm back in the fools game of symptom spotting. Never ends well....

sk1pper · 05/09/2016 20:22

Miw - I had a urine infection last cycle, I was furious as was about to go on holiday and couldn't get an appointment with the Doctor. I managed to stop it in 12 hours with loads of natural remedies suggested by a Tesco pharmacist. That guy saved my holiday. I can give you some of his advice if you want but I'm not sure it covers kidneys too, that sounds 10 times worse than what I had. Hope you feel better soon!

Alexia - your OPKs are looking good. I'm surprised that lots of people get a gradual rise though, mines always like BAM surprise, here's your egg.

Also, what do we do on the bus? :) I'm such a noob

AlexiaB · 05/09/2016 19:57

Binky it takes mental effort not to over-stress but I find these things give me a sense of control and a feeling that I'm trying my best. Good luck xx

Great work Hep. Lots of BFPs coming our way fx! Hopefully I'll be getting a ticket soon as my opks are finally showing something of note :)

Sounds like lots of testers coming up soon. Fx for a spate of bfps we are due some!

Welcome binky. I'm on my 9th cycle trying and only use cm and OPKs to track fertility. I'm determined to avoid temping as I think I'd go mad. Seeing my temp drop in the TWW and knowing it hadn't worked again would finish me off I think! It's totally personal though and I know people are reassured seeing the temp rise after ovulation and being able to pinpoint when it happened.

Sorry you're unwell miw Sad that sounds painful. Rest up and feel better soon

HepKestrel · 05/09/2016 18:46

binky: when is your next AF/poas date? i'll add you to my list ! and welcome !

miw hope you feel better soon.

Binkybunny13 · 05/09/2016 18:39

Thanks alexia- more great advice. Am going to sit and have a read of that this evening. I don't want to get too obsessed with it all and stress myself but I also want to give myself any little advantage possible

Binkybunny13 · 05/09/2016 18:35

Thanks sk1pper; already doing folic acid but the introducing something positive each cycle sounds like really good advice.

Sorry to hear you're feeling off miwelaisjacydo Sad Have a lot of sympathy- kidney infections are horrible Flowers

AlexiaB · 05/09/2016 18:29

I second what skipper said binky - you should be taking folic acid and vitamin d daily. I also take b-complex, Omega 3, Vitex (to try regulate my cycles after mc), EPO up to ovulation (never after) and I've ordered coq10. See this page: natural-fertility-info.com/fertility-diet for more detailed fertility supp info for you and your partner.

I would recommend charting BBT because the more data you have, the better. You're only on your second cycle so it's great you're taking an active approach so early. I started off relaxed ttc and REALLY regret it. I feel like I wasted a whole year. OPKs are definitely frustrating it you don't O at the same time each month. Just try to be patient and have faith they'll darken for you very soon. This whole ttc process is a crazy, annoying waiting game x

miw that sounds nasty! Get well soon you poor thingFlowers

miwelaisjacydo · 05/09/2016 18:04

Blinky hello

How are we all?

I feel like absolute shit have a urine bladder and kidney infection. Also high temperature.

sk1pper · 05/09/2016 17:55

Binky - welcome. It's completely up to you, though I'd start taking follic acid now if you aren't already. I use pregnacare which has follic acid and most the other stuff you need, last cycle I started EPO capsules but I'm going to take two a day next cycle instead of one. And I've just ordered my BBT thermometer - I promised myself I wouldn't but I really need to work out what's going wrong as its been over a year for me now. I feel a lot better when I introduce positive things to my regime each cycle. :)

kwick · 05/09/2016 17:46

Believe me skipper I break out into a cold sweat each time I have to stab myself!!!

Thanks for staying with us hep I was thinking that we have not had a bus ticket list for a while. Thanks for offering to collate. Mine is 18 September!!!

Binkybunny13 · 05/09/2016 17:33

Hello all

Been reading through the thread and it seems that there was some bad news last few days- hope all are doing ok Flowers

My stats:
Age 31
TTC 1
Cycle 2
CD 14- hopefully on the run up to ovulation in next couple of days as DH shift patterns are good atm!

I'm trying to be calm about the whole thing but obviously am driving myself mad! I'm doing OPKs (discretely to get more of an idea of cycle after the pill) but am wondering whether should get on the BBT thermometer/ vitamins etc? When did people start using them? What's the verdict- helpful or making it harder to relax? I'd be so grateful for your advice as you all seem so knowledgeable!

You all seem really supportive and lovely so I'm hoping for lots of BFPs here soon x

ArtOfKnit · 05/09/2016 17:28

mrs we are cycle twins! It was v odd. I don't think this is my month as we haven't been dtd enough, but I really hope that this isn't the monthly treat in store for me now I'm off the pill. Good luck with the
GNR - v impressed. I've been so lazy since I got married, and need to get back into eating healthily and exercising again.

MrsLoz · 05/09/2016 16:51

Hi Art

My cramps and brown/bloody CM cleared up too, plus the ridiculous bloating. On Friday I was convinced I must be pregnant, but now I feel just normal! I will be testing around the 13th as well. Kind of hoping if AF is coming she holds off until then anyway because I'm running the Great North run this weekend and don't really want to have to contend with AF at the same time.

ArtOfKnit · 05/09/2016 16:38

Hi everyone, hope you've all had good weekends!

Hello newbies

hep sounds like you have a great attitude & will be keeping everything crossed for you.

No idea when I should get a bus ticket for - maybe 13th sept? My cramps and bloody ewcm cleared up, went back to clear for a bit and is now a bit cloudier and less stretchy.

LovelyFishy · 05/09/2016 14:48

Peaches sounds like you've defiantly been at it lots, fx this is your month!

Nicky I wouldn't have believed it myself either if it weren't for the blood tests. One of my hormones is very high and most likely stopping me from ovulating. I have no symptoms apart from not being pregnant with over a year trying! Getting results this week to confirm it's still high before I get refered on to get it fixed.

Hep glad you're taking control and that you've got lots of support. Fx for you!

Jem it's tough seeing other people happy with babies isn't it? A girl in my office who's younger than me is expecting her second and starting to show. Bit hard seeing that every day!

My next bus ticket is for this Friday!
