Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Morning lovelies. I'm in a foul mood today, I had horrible cramps over the weekend, and now I feel nauseous and bad tempered. And as I'm only 6 dpo it's clearly not because I'm pregnant, which is making me even worse tempered.

AliceScarlett · 26/09/2016 10:59

Hey everyone,

MOOSE Congrats!! So pleased for you!! Wooooooo. Cycle 11 as well. You give me hope!

Interesting to read about temping/etc. Fair play to you all that do that.

Kwick I'm looking forward to seeing Bridget Jones.

Welcome love

Nicky 1 in 10 eggs viable!? Thats super interesting.

I started a new course in London at the weekend and that really helped with not being pregnant, it just highlighted all the things I can still do not having to find childcare, etc. I can stay for another 6 years and be super-qualified if I wanted. That might fill the hole left by being barren

My plan this month is to POAOPK every day. Still no idea how to do this at work. Hmm.

Thanks hep It's still not sunk in at all. Did a clear blue and it helped seeing "pregnant" come up in bold letters on Sunday! 18 days will fly by.... fingers crossed for a quick bfp for you.

DP is very excited! More than me I think, as I still can't believe it! Still feel absolutely completely normal other than achy legs which is my usual AF symptom! What's more strange is that life just continues as normal - feels very strange just coming into work as though nothing's changed and not being able to mention anything!!

I'm just going stick round here a while, I'm not ready to move up until it feels a bit more definite!

You girls that temp are amazing, opks made me crazy enough, I couldn't cope with interpreting that chart!

jem Every other day is surely ok! There'll be plenty up there with that!!!

HepKestrel · 26/09/2016 10:32

that should read 18 days (not 28)..... not that i am counting .......

HepKestrel · 26/09/2016 10:28

welcome mabel you are added to the list Smile. All rants and TMI welcome here!

glad you are feeling better peaches
nicky lsfx for you. try to relax. We can add "don't trust the cramps!" to "don't trust the boobs!" Temping isn't for me either.

am getting a little down that it won't happen for me. But moose I am so happy to see another bfp for a "long-timer!" wishing you fishy and Art all the best. Flowers

4 days before I am allowed to dtd again Wink ... though another 28 days before ttc Sad.

WingingIt83 · 26/09/2016 10:24

Is getting ewcm after ovulation normal? I've had some today even though temp spike occurred yesterday so I'm assuming egg would be dead by now if not caught. Couldn't dtd this morning as DH had a bad back.

I woke up in night, took temp with eyes shut assuming it was about 5am....looked at clock -2.30 am! ! I then spent rest of night wondering if it would give accurate measurement at that time as whether I'd then get 3hrs sleep before retaking it. Re did at 7 ish after lots of stirring, turning alarms off etc and it was actually lower than at 2.30am (36.44 vs 36.58) although still in post ov range. I've reported it as an average 36.5 on ovia!

Nicky883 · 26/09/2016 10:15

Thanks ovia for getting my hopes up again !!

Welcome newbies (waves Smile)

And congratulations MOOSE yeh another bfp!! Hope you have a happy healthy 8 months ahead Grin

Musicgrrl · 26/09/2016 10:12

Jem I think it's fine to miss Wednesday. We always do an every other day pattern over O (although obviously it hasn't worked for us yet!) but I don't think missing Wednesday would be likely to impact things.

sk1pper I had the contraceptive implant. It was great at the time but when I got it removed it took 60 days to get my first period which I found vey stressful and I spent a lot of time reading scare stories about how it sometimes took as long as a year for periods to return!!

Peaches8Posies · 26/09/2016 10:10

Morning ladies. Well that was a bug from hell! Even managed to pass it to OH. dtd on Wednesday, plan was to dtd Friday Saturday Sunday. Obviously that never happened. Rather pissed off. Managed a very very late one last night. Had mild twinges yesterday morning and ewcm. Just hope there was something there to catch.

London sperm should live for 36hrs approx so missing Wednesday shouldn't matter much. Last 2 cycles I have literally dtd at every opportunity and still no luck so wouldn't stress to much. Easier said than done though.... (see above much pissed off-ness Confused)

kwick still not seen Bridget Jones looking forward to it. Cold feet tonight though, really enjoying that being back on TV. Plus Art Malik, still got it! Grin

Hopefully everyone is is well.

sk1pper · 26/09/2016 09:00

music - Ahh ok I didn't know about the cover line. Wish I hadn't of screwed up two of the temps just before ovulation. But thanks, you've reassured me. :)

What birth control were you on?

LondonJem · 26/09/2016 08:54

Thanks for the list hep there are quite a few of us! Hopefully more bfps coming soon.

Welcome mabel

kwick from what I've read I think we would need ICSI for low morphology - they select a really good sperm and put it in the egg I believe. I'm ready to just go for it, sick of waiting. DH is seeing the GP next Monday so we will see what they say.

nicky Flowers hope it's not AF, that's the worst bit of the cycle for me too. I can't handle temping either, there are so many variables and things to consider! It would drive me insane.

Ovulation is due Thursday for me and I'm very fortunate that it tends to happen on time. DH has a trip tomorrow which means we can DTD on Tuesday and Thursday. Do you think it's okay that we miss Wednesday?

Can't help but think the most important days to DTD are Wednesday and Thursday Sad

Nicky883 · 26/09/2016 08:46

Temping is so stressful :p i have only done it for two months to make sure i do ovulate but i stopped after that

Musicgrrl · 26/09/2016 08:30

Ooh I think that chart looks great! The dips aren't below the cover line so nothing to worry about I don't think Smile

I can't imagine what it must be like to have a normal luteal phase. Mine has varied since I've been tracking it. Started as only 5, then 8 last cycle. I'm hoping for a trend towards it getting longer! Wondered whether coming off birth control had affected it.

sk1pper · 26/09/2016 08:19

Is a double dip normal? I'm only 6dpo so were similar :) my luteal phase is around 14 days though. I need to stop obsessing over this chart.

Thread 18 TTC#1 We have cats, courgettes AND cake
Musicgrrl · 26/09/2016 07:58

sk1pper how many days post O are you? It could be an implantation dip? Try not to worry too much (easy to say). I find temping really stressful at the time but then when I look back I'm glad I have the data to reassure myself that I'm ovulating!

I'm now 7dpo. I have a short luteal phase so expecting AF any day now. As usual I'm reading too much into any symptom I can possibly imagine even though it would almost be a miracle if I got a BFP this month because I was ill over FW and we didn't dtd much!

sk1pper · 26/09/2016 07:13

Alexia - my temp has dipped again this morning, nearly to where it had dipped previously but this time the decrease is much more because of my high temp yesterday. Very confusing...

Nicky883 · 26/09/2016 06:31

Hep really feel that af is comming any time now :( feel really heavy down below . i hate the two las days before af the most !!
Kwick i really hope next round will be succesfull for you :)!

kwick · 26/09/2016 05:07

jem I agree with Alexia if you decide to go down the treatment route IUI is much less intense than IVF - just learn from ne and get your tubes checked from the off!

Welcome back love!

That's the spirit hep! I will be right there with you Grin

Nicky so when I got a BFP from the first round of IVF and then got a MC they thought that my body had recognised that the embryo was not a-ok. Now with the second round and a bfn, the consultant reckons same thing and my body did not allow for implantation. Very sad but I am doing all I can to improve egg quality (DHEA and co-enzyme q10) so thems the breaks.

Welcome mabel! I am a thread junkie too Wink

Saw Bridget Jones' baby yesterday - much funnier than I thought it would be. Even though fiction has given me hope - she is 43 and with child.
Had a lovely dream - then had to get up at 4am to catch plane - am on my way to Heathrow at fhe mo... Shock (big yawn)

MabelTheCow · 25/09/2016 23:35

Hi everyone, please can I join in?

I've been lurking for a week or 2 since we started ttc. I've learned so much from these threads and surprised myself by spotting ewcm and feeling some slight twinges that might have even been ov?

AF is not very regular (anywhere from 24-38 days) but mostly around 30-32. Not holding out much hope for this month (OH was poorly) but going to test around 9/10 if the witch hasn't shown up.

WingingIt83 · 25/09/2016 22:50

Congrats moose! It's reassuring to know it is still possibly to get a bpf!

Finally on cd18 I got a peak reading on cb although I did suspect it might have just got fed up and given one anyway so will be checking temps to be sure I ovulated. Temp higher today but I'll see what the next few days bring.

purple I do generally stir a bit before testing but like alexia do it in bed with eyes shut and check reading later. It seems to give relatively ok results. I do keep it in for an extract 30 secs after it beeps though to check def getting the true reading.

I've gone good shopping and bought every luteal lengthening food I can find. We have pinapple, eggs, fatty red meat, kale, brocolli, walnuts. ...an interesting culinary week ahead!

HepKestrel · 25/09/2016 21:19

LSFX Nicky and Music hows it going?

hope are 3 grads are all well and have a heathy pregnancy.

Aww Sk1pper so did I! How naive lol. Yes my cycles and LP are messed up since. I've never had reliable cycles but they were always around 31-38 days with the odd exception here and there, and fluctuated no more than 5-6 days each way (if one month it was 32 it could easily be 36 the next).

purple it's worth a try to see how you get on, especially as you already have a thermometer. If you stir before waking you could set an alarm for a time you know you'll be asleep. To ensure I temp at the same time each day I set my alarm for 6:30am but I don't get up until 7.30am and sometimes later as I work from home. I temp with my eyes closed, thermometer beeps when done and I usually fall back to sleep straight away and check the temp when I wake up. (hope that makes sense!)

purpleladybird · 25/09/2016 17:38

interesting reading about temping. I bought a thermometer but never used it as intend to stir before actually waking up each morning and so wondered if it would actually work?

I've been using OPKs only but realised I won't be able to use my trusteed CB monitor next month as I'm away with work and don't have it with me (OH away too). Even thought you don't start peeing on sticks until day 6+ you have to set it up by day 4. So perhaps I should temp next month instead.

sk1pper · 25/09/2016 17:28

Cycle 14 now. I thought I'd have given birth by now. FML. Grin

Are your long cycles because of the MC you had?
